Good morning! We're almost to the weekend, I think. Kind of losing track.
WDW top list for today is ....................... Top 5 things you are looking most forward to when you next get to visit DaWorld
Well, I probably won't be back for a couple more years, so...
1. Rise of the Resistance
2. TRON coaster
3. Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster
4. Staying at a Disney resort and just feeling the real world fall away when I check in
5. Dole Whips
This entire half a$$ area of a carnival theme needs to be bulldozed, wiped from our memories and any photographic history deleted or burned. This area of shame and cheapness, not to mention a complete opposite to Walt's vision and the type of garbage that drove him to want to create a theme park in the first place, needs a complete scrape and rebuild.
I think a lot of us have the same reaction when we look at the Dinoland area. And yet, I was reading a story about the creation of it. The Imagineers came up with a whole backstory for the area--that fossils were discovered in the area and as typically happens in the U.S., a tourist industry quickly sprang up, with lots of cheesy tourist traps ready to take advantage of the people flocking to the area to see the fossils.
A guest was complaining about the look of the area to an Imagineer, and he responded, "Do you have any idea how hard we worked to make it look this bad?"
That being said, I generally agree. I appreciate the effort they put into the story, but I also don't pay lots of money to go to Disney and see a crappy tourist trap.
I really enjoyed Rogue 1, though.
I think Rogue One may actually be the best of the "new" Star Wars movies. For what it's worth, I was entertained by TFA but realized it was the same story as the original. I liked The Last Jedi except for the endless scenes on the casino planet. And I was somewhat disappointed by Rise of Skywalker. Sure, it had a happy ending, but I don't think the story made a lick of sense.
So, I go to the company I have my auto insurance with (USAA). Go online and get a quote for homeowners insurance. Can I get the flood insurance online? Nooooooo! That would be too easy. Have to call them. After verifying myself 20 times over, they start asking me the EXACT same questions as on the homeowners I did online.
Sounds like visiting the doctors office when they make you fill out the exact same forms you fill out on every other visit.
Then mowed the grass (the guys are doing a green pickup tomorrow) and cut the boys hair (not with the lawn mower, although that could have been quicker).

Much more efficient, too.
Rumours are swirling that we are going to start re-introducing society from Monday. We are all going out on our front drives for a drink on Friday night to celebrate 75 years of VE day, so that could be cool. Then maybe the postponed social distance Pizza party with next door on Saturday.
Hope that all works out. I think we're all stir-crazy at this point.
We've moved 3 times mate, and its always been a nightmare.
Can't stand moving. When we bought this house, my wife said, "They're gonna have to carry me out of this place."
He told me that I am still being considered but that they have to do their due diligence with all the other candidates. In other words, he's not good enough to decide by reading other people's resumes that he doesn't want them...he has to interview everyone, even by phone.
Could be the truth. Could also be a stall tactic.
