DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Watched Rise of Skywalker yesterday. I was happy with the way the saga ended.

Glad you are making some improvement and heal up. I sympathize. Better living through pharmaceuticals is my motto in this situation. I was able to get up and put in a reasonable effort at work today. It is getting stiff now and am going to soak in some hot water and then the magic pills. I have co-worker whose daughter is a chiropractor/acupuncturist and she needles him once a month. He gave the same treatment to me last year when I was having some issues and I have to say it helped. Don't know how and it wasn't as good as meds, but I think if it was a routine monthly process it may be better than what I do now. Fortunately/unfortunately massage therapy is also now a legitimate use of our medical plan. Fortunately because I think it would be exactly what I need, unfortunately because there is only one MT within a two hour drive and she is booked out 8 months. I don't plan that far ahead. I get nervous even buying green bananas.

I don't like green bananas, but prefer the more greener side. Does the health insurance include the massage with a happy ending? :scared1: :lmao:

My keto pizza.
Fathead dough
Pepperoni
Ground beef
Sausage
Bacon.

Mmmmm

Fathead dough?

D@mmit! That's where my old age-itis is coming from! *pulls out can of disinfectant spray and sprays the computer*

That looks good, but needs more pepperoni.

That's why my store doesn't have any lysol.

I actually came into the office today. There's not another soul here. Somebody thought we should have a 6-hour meeting analyzing a flowchart. Starting to think exposing myself to the virus might be a better fate.

Essential government.

Top 3 attractions that you do not like

Stitch's Great Escape
Canada movie because there are no seats (I like you guys and the movies)
Evening light show at AK

Easy...top 3 I don't like

IASW
IASW
IASW

You are dead to me.

Hey Mike, you should do a top five of best places to nap in the World.

France movie
Bus ride back to resort
Carousel of Progress
Your resort hotel
Your resort poolside

Sadly, no. That would be preferable to the speaker droning on and on...
YouTube... just sayin'
Does that person exist?
Yes! He scheduled a 6-hour meeting analyzing a flowchart.
The new film in Canada is rather bland. They should have kept Martin Short.
:(
Well, that's a real shame!

The butler did it?

Well, that's a real shame!
I saw the new one. I didn't think it was that bad, but then again, I was with Rob and he was telling me about some different things, so maybe that made it more interesting. I did like Martin Short though...made it funny.

The butler did it?
Dang! You figured it out even with out spoilers?
:worship:

But was it with a pipe? Was in the library?

I loved it, as do most people I've talked to. I do, however, have a friend who hated it. Maybe hated is a strong word. His exact words were, "I wish I had never seen it." His reasoning is that it was too much like the Return of the Jedi. I can see where he's coming from, but you have to end the saga somehow if good is to triumph over evil. All I know is, I liked it.

That's why.

I have mixed emotions about it.

In general, I haven't liked the newer movies very (or as) much. Especially the force awakens, it just seemed like a new hope with different characters and having a planet sucking up all the sun's power was just too far fetched. A death star with reactors generating the raw power is at least fathomable.

I didn't care for the final one because of who Rey and Kylo found when then went to Exlo. I'll not say more in case someone still hasn't seen it. I also didn't like the ending more in a right vs. wrong standpoint. I wanted both...not just one. Again, trying to not say too much.

From a story line and special effects point of view, I thought it was magnificent (other than above alluded to issues).

I get it, I do. I'm one of those people that as long as I'm entertained, I'll most likely like it. That's not to say I won't pick it apart if I see things I don't like, like the aforementioned planet killer, but as long as I'm entertained. But I do get your point.

Morning, Gents! Hope everyone is having a good week. Nothing new to report except that they interviewed another candidate for the open position yesterday...and it wasn't me. Grrr. I'm going to approach my supervisor today and ask what's going on....in a nice way of course. Well, everyone have a good Wednesday.

TTFN

Morning from a sunny Westfield NB. Not much new here, besides it's hump day.

Hope you find out something positive on the position, good luck.

Morning, boys.
Supposed to be cold the next few days but warm this afternoon so took the bike to work.
Bit chilly ride (0C/32F), but not bad. The ride's only 30 minutes. I wouldn't want to do a couple hours at that temp, though.

You know... if they don't even bother interviewing you... just bite your tongue and get back to work. When you finish your course and apply elsewhere. Just walk away.
I would give them as much consideration as they gave you.
I think I'm in the wrong line of work. Got my quote yesterday for two men and a truck for my move.
So you're happy? Wishing you could get out and move some boxes? That what you mean?

Wait a minute.

::yes:: What he said.

We made it to Wednesday. We have a little COVID experiment here. KY has extended lockdowns, opening May 11 at 25% capacity with next phase at May 20. Meanwhile, TN on our southern border, re-opened Monday, specifically Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge, two tourist areas. Dollywood theme park hasn't opened yet. It will be interesting to compare the numbers in two weeks.

I'll send ya a link.

Well, I was going to send you a link. If I'm dead...

Thanks for the link. DW has some recipe similar to that. I don't like it.

I didn't care for Force Awakens or Last Jedi. I like movies with the happy ending as opposed to real life. There were parts I didn't care for though, but won't get specific here just in case.

My youngest dd didn't care for the end either. I like the Star Wars movies for the jedi/ force/ light saber battles and outer space fight scenes. I can really care less about who someone is related to, Sith vs Jedi prophesies, etc. I couldn't make thru the Han Solo movie. Rouge 1 was tolerable, and the Vader ending redeemed it.
