DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Hi, all. For some reason I keep losing this thread in my notifications. Not sure what's up with that.

The older kids are seriously starting their summer jobs this week...working rides at the local theme park. (California's Great America) Daughter spent last night working the Mass Effect ride, and will either be on that or the 'flying scooters' ride tonight. Older son should work either the Autopia clone or the looping coaster tonight.

I'm surprised it took this long to get them on the job - it's taken Cedar Fair about a month to get to this point, due to background check and having to wait for training slots to open up. When my wife worked there in the late '90s, Paramount was a lot more casual. On the other hand, Cedar Fair seems to actually know what they're doing.

DD starts school 5 weeks from tomorrow. Back to school supplies are going on the shelf at WalMart.

Yeah, the DIS is bad about that. It seems the notifications only happen on the most recent 4-5 threads. Anything else, it doesn't notify you. Click "Forums" and then "Watched Threads". The ones that have new messages will be bold.

OK, remind us when your surgery happens so we can kick up the praying.
Already praying, but ::yes::

You could go with this option.

Got one of those... but it sucks as an oven.
I have a Wolf range... that sucker is awesome.
Add this for the bacon you will cook.

Ooohhh… yeah. Need that.
Ouch. Computers make everything easier until it repair time. We don't have any smart appliances in our house. But, once these go out, we will probably have to upgrade and well.
Yeah, I just want an oven with knobs. No touchscreens. You think I could find one? Nope.
Or fix your oven with an Ace bandage. :lmao:
Finished work for the day, have to take DW for cortisone shots in both her shoulders. Happy Tuesday.
Ouch. Poor kid.
I would think the price of gas for this in Canadian dollars would bankrupt you...
Yes.
Nothing else to say there.

Not to spoil anything but since when does tripping over your own feet result in a penalty and a card???????

I thought the same thing at first but after watching ALL the replays I think she got her just enough when she tried to jump around her.

Only saw the 2nd half but it was entertaining, England lacked the finish. I blame Jeff. @Terra Nova guy

Morning men. Congratulations to my American brethren for having 11 women who suck at playing football slightly less than 11 English women. I only caught about 10 mins, but the US seemed all over England and amazingly, able to complete a pass over 10 yards. Maybe they should coach Blake Bortles.

Conference calls at 6am this morning with the teams in China 2 days in a row, so 5am starts and 13 hour days. Feeling it now. Unfortunately when get tired, I start to eat bad stuff. That bag of honey roasted cashews is looking mighty fine right now.

When you are on a mission to get more goals and drama into a competition.
Surgery in 3 or 4 weeks, then Chemo right after.
Good luck buddy. Pullin' for ya.

Morning men, may your Wednesday be a humpy one.

When the highlight of your day is honey-roasted cashews, you're living the dream!
