DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Definitely going to be a different break for sure, we have had some other plans for the break but due to our province restrictions those had to be changed too.

Us to. The original plan was to got to the Algonquin in Saint Andrews but up until today, that was discouraged.

Must admit... I have no idea what I'm doing for break. I had thought of going... anywhere. But... there's nowhere to go!

Afternoon chaps from a sunny but Chilly London.
Tried to make the zoom call last night, but the boy had woke me up at 0520 yesterday morning, as apparently I had promised to play video games early with him. I apparently said this on Monday, and completely forgot.
Suoer busy at work, hopefully all is well with everyone.

I reached out to Jeff this week, he's cool. Just busy.

Morning, folks.

Got the pot roast in the frying pan, browning, and then it will be spending the next 7-9 hours in the slow cooker.
Hoping for a run, but not overly hopeful. We'll see how the temps go.

That's it for me. Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

That was your first mistake.
I apparently said this on Monday, and completely forgot.
And that was your second.
You could've alleviated your first mistake with a "Ha! Ha! I'm kidding! I meant late afternoon. Laaaaaate."

Morning All.

Nice to see some new guys last night on the Zoom chat, early start helped for some but it didn't make it end any sooner. I jumped off at 2 my time and there were still three or four guys on. Good times!

0Km today. Too cold, then too busy. Need to get back in the habit more.

Turn the heat up and jump on the treadmill.

Well carp. Guess it wasn't advertised here or on groupme.

What a short weekend. Made it to the finals, but lost. Lots of ibuprofen and beer. Tennis definitely takes more out of me than pickleball. Hopefully I'll recover enough by morning.

Morning from an overcast Westfield NB. Taking DD to her swimming lesson this afternoon, then we'll grab some lunch. It's the start of March break so DD and I get to hang out this week. We had planned to be spending the break in Da World but the covid travel restrictions ruined the plans, hopefully next year.
Have a great weekend

Sounds like a good plan to me. :thumbsup2:drinking1:drinking1

What's it usually like in March? Busy in Spring Break weeks or not since it's college?

Been to WDW in April, May, June, July, September, & October. So far, September is my favorite as it was the lowest crowd level. Trying December this year when hopefully these restrictions are over.

West Ham still in 4th. Tough match against City. Still, they played well and had their chances.

We try and go in the cooler months since the temps are closer to a nice summer day here. I find the May thru September to hot and humid for me,

It's like cheering for West Ham, they pretend to show you they are good, win a few and suck for the rest of the season.
At the end of last season I would have bit your hand off of being 4th in March with 12 games left. The problem is due to schedule, a lot of teams will overtake as we don't play for a couple of weeks.

Morning, Gents from a warm, 45F, and wet Cape Cod. My weekend was filled with rehearsals, errands and general household duties, so a good weekend overall. Now I'm back to work, and what will be, to my knowledge, my last at my current job. Still haven't heard about any interviews for the other job they want me to do, so I'll be emailing about that today. I also updated my resume wit what I do now, which wasn't easy. When it comes to resumes I'm not the best at coming up with the flowery resume speech, this is where Google comes in handy. The problem is, I couldn't find anything on Google to help me, so I had to make it up. My wife thinks I was too specific, kind of pigeonholing myself into a job rather than being a bit more broad about it. I'll see what my staffing company contact says about it.

Yes it is CCT, some years it's only a few bucks, but this year it's a lot more than I was expecting to pay. :scared1:

My wife's self-employed, so we pay every year. This year, though, due to COVID, and the cancelling of all of her music gigs, we actually got money back.

From what you have said in the past, the early start time wasn't very popular, so I was expecting a couple of people. So it was a nice surprise to see so many there.

Sorry you didn't make it to the finals.

I've been thinking a lot about this over the last year, as this is one of the times of the year I've been looking at heading down. Having said that, I've only been down in the World in August, but thinking is that March is usually spring break time for colleges and public schools, not a hard fast rule, but usually the case. As a result, and I'm guessing here, March will be busy with spring breakers. As I said, that's just a guess, but I think a good one. I would love to hear from other people, though
