Morning from a sunny Moncton NB.DW and I had a great time at the show and Casino.
Taking the back roads home so we can enjoy the scenery. Happy Sunday

Just glad you made it safe!! The wife, son, and I got out early this morning for the drive to Southern California. Unfortunately we came upon a fatality on SR-138, van versus motorcycle. Prayers for the family that lost a loved one today. Thankfully we made it to my folks safe and sound.

Hey guys, I had a nice day Saturday with the family. Weather was great so we went for a drive in the new vehicle. Stopped at a place called Petty Harbour which has become a touristy town in recent years. We walked around for a bit and then had a late lunch at a little fish and chips place there. It was just nice to get out with the family and get my head out of work for a while.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Nice weekend of a few things around the house and just plain 'ole relaxing. Grilled all weekend which I love to do so all good here. Looks like we have several out on the road or in the air traveling for vacation so everyone be safe and enjoy your trips.

It's Monday and I'm back in the office. Who thought of this tortuous 5 day work week. Youngest dd and I playing mixed doubles in local tennis tournament this weekend. Should be fun or injurious.

I have another 3 years until the youngest graduates from High School. I couldn't afford to retire then but it would give me more options.

Because she couldn't go to another High School any where else in the United States. Her education would be permanently, dramatically inpaired.

Vacation brain has taken over. Just under three hours left. I hope no one asks me anything, because I will have no answers!

Afternoon fellas. I survived my race. The heat spiked this morning and the temperature went up about 17° during the race. And then the worst happened—beer vendor decided not to be there this year! So no post run frosty beverage!!

About 48 hours left until we check into the Grand Californian. And it will only be in the high 80’s while we’re there. Better than the 104° outside the house right now.

If we had to we would, but the kids have been through too many schools because of work moves. It is more about the emotional well-being than the education. The majority of what they learn in today's school systems is meaningless. They are taught what to think rather than how to think.

I know school is a waste of time. And, that's what DW says about the emotional connections. She moved schools a couple of times. I moved after school was out. I guess life would have been easier with those friends/ connections. It also may have been easier with a beach and no winters. I'll never know.

I hope you get to find out what life is like with a beach and no winters soon. If I can ever afford to retire that is the way I want to head. SWMBO has mentioned staying here in Appalachia because she doesn't want to start over at that point. I'll have to remember to send her a card for our anniversary.

Morning gents.
Bit of a rough one this morning as I couldn't fall asleep much before 1am. So when DW's alarm went off at 4:30, it was particularly annoying.
Oh well, at least she hit snooze and let me get up and let the dogs out and feed them. I was only going to sleep for another hour anyway.

There are local lobsters and crab. But I'm actually not a big fan of shellfish. I've eaten it before and didn't hate it, but didn't particularly like it either. The girls (including DW) can't stand it. Hence the fish and chips.

It's been a sucky couple weeks.
Unfortunately, today wasn't good...although compared to the loss of my daughter...much better
Waiting to hear from the plumber for replacement water heater (started leaking right before I left). Had same company have to come by and fix main valve into house...it broke, so had just a trickle of water. Unloaded the truck, so now we essentially have no garage. So yeah, not exactly a HAPPY birthday. It could have been worse....haven't figured out how yet,but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
