Happy Birthday Philip- my Star Wars 1/2 marathon weekend buddy (though I'm just doing the 10k with you)

Afternoon guys. Sounds like the weekend was uneventful except for the KY rain - golf tournament was great this weekend. Remember, Mondays mean we are all one week closer to the next Disney trip planned, or unplanned.

First stop on Barry's Eastern Seaboard family road trip.

A nice afternoon / evening with Barry, Brent, and all the wives and kids
Nicely done guys :thumbsup2
Success! I got all of the ADRs that we had wanted and got Penny in for an 8am BBB at the Castle on our first full MK day. Unfortunately CRT is closed during our trip, but we are doing Akershus on our EP day. I think I'll take the rest of the day to relax.
Congrats and well played. DD gripes once in awhile about them not having BBB for her.
Great day yesterday, seeing Brian and his family again, and meeting Barry and his family. Couldn't have asked for a better day. Such awesome people too.
Sounds like a great time had by all
Whats up guys.....my name is Matt ive been 4 times this year last december than september for food and beer...and in may for starwars weekends and that scheduled for december 1-10 this year..my son is 4 and loves it to the max...and so does my wife.......glad to be here.......pirate:

‘Morning all…
We got the young’en shipped back off to school so we’re officially back in Temporary Empty Nest Mode.
Glad all went well moving the boy back. If you are like us you go back and forth between, "get out of the house" -- "miss 'em can't wait til they come back", "get out of the house"
How much are those new curved screen tvs? Don't know if they are any good, but I like the commercials. Or, are you going for one of those screens that make are big enough to be lifesize images?
When I went to get our new TV we did look at the curved ones - about $8,000 for a 52-60" version. Obviously not what me and the boy selected knowing DW would likely try to remove appendages :lmao:

What is DDC3? He asked, knowing full well what it is.

What a great question!

What is DDC3?? Anybody know? I just know it stands for DisDad Convention 3 or otherwise known as "Marathon weekend where all the DisDads and some of their families get together to hang out and enjoy all that WDW has to offer including a glutenous 'Ohana dinner where grown men compete to build shrimp walls and fight over whether or not it's legal to build a foundation for said shrimp walls out of chicken bones or not."

But I think DDC3 is a little shorter. :thumbsup2

Thank you Scott. That sounds great and a lot of fun, I think I will go. Knowing full well that he as already book the trip!

Marathon weekend you say? It just so happens I am going to be there then. Would you mind if I meet up with you sometime? Sounds like it could be fun. You guys wouldn't be drinking adult beverages during this event, would you?

I posted a poll over on Facebook about DDC3...just to gauge interest and also to find out if we'll have enough interest for a group booking or not...

check it out!

Disney is going to have to move Marathon week away from the beginning of January before I’ll be able to attend such.
Y’all drink a couple of extra brews for me.

Happy Birthday Philip- my Star Wars 1/2 marathon weekend buddy (though I'm just doing the 10k with you)

I missed where that was today.
Happy Birthday Philip!

That’s about as accurate as possible.
It’s harder on his momma, but just the fact that he didn’t remain perpetually a toddler has been hard on her.

The trip and load in went fairly smooth and he seems to be settled in now.
Audition/Evaluations were yesterday and aced that so he’s guaranteed a spot in the show.
Since they’re taking the band up to New York for a week to take part in the Macy’s parade this year there are a lot more folks then usual vying for a spot on the roster. There are 505 total in the band this season and the maximum they will put into the show is 450.

$8,000!? Randall can get one of those Internet wives from his targeted marketing ads for that amount. Those TVs better have some amazing features. :lmao:

Thank you Scott. That sounds great and a lot of fun, I think I will go. Knowing full well that he as already book the trip!

You are having lots of fun with font colors today. :lmao:

Evening, Gents. First time today I've been able to get to the boards. Work kept me preoccupied.
I was supposed to take vacation tomorrow to got o a local amusement park (Kennywood...it's where they filmed the movie Adventureland) but the forecast looks to be thunderstorms all day. So I go from a day at an amusement park to meeting with our CIO instead.
I've got a bad feeling about this.

Evening guys. Spent a nice weekend at the lake with the family. Home now, getting ready for the week.

And by getting ready for the week I mean drinking scotch and looking up new TV's online...

:thumbsup2
Last year I replaced my last standard def TV with HD. I wish I would have gone bigger with the HDTV in my LR. I got a 40" and it's "fine" but now I'd rather get a GIGANTIC one.

Pretty sure I said DS lol son.
Pfff....details.

Chaos as usual now that the family is all back under one roof and the work chaos is getting worse. This growing season started out well but when the rains hit it has all been down hill. Over 3 inches of rain in less than 36 hours this past weekend and more in the forecast for today. My little pumpkin patch needs spraying and too wet to get at it but if I don't, I'll have about 1500 disappointed pre-K-1st graders. Long range forecast is calling for an early Autumn, cold winter and lots of precipitation.

Still on the green side of the sod though so things could be worse.
This sounds like it should be a TV series on the History Channel or Discovery!

Remember, Mondays mean we are all one week closer to the next Disney trip planned, or unplanned.
Stop with your infernal optimism!

yeah - I hope you don't think I was referring to Carl! ;)

Is he still around?

Marathon weekend you say? It just so happens I am going to be there then. Would you mind if I meet up with you sometime? Sounds like it could be fun. You guys wouldn't be drinking adult beverages during this event, would you?

Adult beverages? There will be adult beverages? Now I have to go!

Hey! I have an idea, let's all meet at Poly by the pool bar for some adult beverages!

:hourglass:hourglass:hourglass HAPPY BIRTHDAY Phillip :hourglass:hourglass:hourglass
Happy Birthday! Hope it is a good one.
I missed where that was today. Happy Birthday Philip!
