Every once and a while contracts that are loaded with points (Ie they have this years points and last years banked points.) Contracts like that can pay for themselves pretty quickly.

Have seen a few of those while researching. It was hard not pulling the trigger, but sleeping in the shed for the other 49 weeks or so would be pretty uncomfortable.:rolleyes1

Ummm....did someone forget to text the Canadian about a new thread opening???

It must have been the long distance charges.:lmao::lmao:

Who Cares!

:rotfl2: I would if I was in single digits.

We called right at the 7 month mark and only could get an ADR for BoG for 7:00 PM. I was disappointed because I wanted to eat before the MNSSHP started. it was still fun. Good luck on both.

That gives me alittle more hope, thanks Norm, even 7 or 7:30 would be cool, DD is older so she should be able to handle the party better this time.

We did MNSSHP for the first time this year. We had an absolute blast. We really enjoyed being dressed up and roaming around the park. (Halloween isn't a big holiday for our family but we still really enjoyed it.) In fact we enjoyed it so much we decided if we liked MNSSHP we would really like MVMCP. We went back for that a couple months later and it was okay. It felt less special, I think because the guests weren't dressed up. The fireworks didn't seem to be as good as MNSSHP either. I'd definitely do both of them at least once, but MNSSHP is the one our family would choose to do again.

Agreed. In our opinion MNSSHP combined with F&W at Epcot makes October the month pot choice. MVMCP was OK, but not nearly as good as the Halloween party. Hoping to hit the party again this year on our October trip.:thumbsup2

I'm 1h15m away from the casinos. I live midway between Hartford & Danbury on 84. If you hit the casino in the summer I'd love to meet up. June is a no go for me though. I'll be working like a dog. pluto

That sounds like a plan. It won't be June here either. We have so much going on and the kids are in school until the 25th. Probably mid to late July. Our year end is June 30, I have to by in Long Island, NY 7/2-7/6 for a baseball tournament and then will be locked in my office for at least a week to get everything caught up before the auditors show up. I'll let you know as it gets closer.

Jim- Any update on Niagara in July?

Hey Brent.:wave2: Not yet. Trying to work out the baseball/work schedule right now. I know we have playoffs at some point in July, but they are not posted yet. Hopefully I'll have some more information soon. Per above, the first week and second week are unlikely at this point due to tourney and work getting in the way.

Morning guys. Happy Friday!!

Good morning David.

Good Morning fellow dads! Tomm. Is the day to start making ADRs for the Oct. Trip so yay I'll be up at 5cnt trying to get a spot that is prob already gone but gotta try, only trying for 2 ADRs for this trip, we are planning to make it as open of a trip as possible, didn't know that was possible lol.

The only ADR we had a problem with is BOG. At 180 days there were plenty of good times available. Are you shooting for BOG? It seems that by the time your window opens, those that opened the day or so before have grabbed all the slots. We planned a bunch of ADR's where we have never eaten to change things up a little. Good luck getting what you want booked.

Hey CJ! If you want to watch baseball today, the Red Sox have the WS celebration for the home opener this afternoon. :cool1: Just in case you are looking for something to do today. Didn't want you to miss it.

Oh, and how are the Marlins doing?:confused3:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I am trying for BoG, I know it's slim odds since people have had 9 days head start but if I can't get one I'll try again next trip, most running websites say no alcohol 48 hrs before a race but if I get an ADR I have to have a beer in MK lol

Happy Friday!

With all the dining reservation talk, I'm wondering how far in advance you can make reservations in WDW. We're headed to Ariel's Grotto at CA in August, but I can't make any reservations until 60 days out. Wondered if it was the same in WDW.

Good morning guys, it's blow up the kidney stones day!

Good Luck Brother! Hope you feel better soon.

Add us to this group. We usually do MNSSHP, but switched up to try the MVCMCP last year.

We liked Halloween better.

This is the first Friday in a month I've been at work, and it sucks...:rotfl2:

Last week I was headed down to Okeechobee with the little guy and we had a blast...some pics from last week:

Thank you, BoG dinner , it's a MNSSHP expected so holding on to hope on that one and Kona Cafe for breakfast, that one should work out. If BoG doesn't pan out then we will prob do dinner at hotel before MNSSHP.
Kona breakfast? Great pick!

I'm thinking it still applies. Before DVC, I wanted to do everything each trip at WDW, and that is not possible. Now, we are way more relaxed and have more fun.
It might feel better since we own SSR. LOL

I was counting on you to say that.
:lmao: :lmao:

Sounds good

Yep. That's the one! :worship:

According to my running coach, Paul, you should consume as much alcohol before mad after the race as you can.

Happy Friday!

180 days for WDW dining reservations.

Looking good there!

Have seen a few of those while researching. It was hard not pulling the trigger, but sleeping in the shed for the other 49 weeks or so would be pretty uncomfortable.:rolleyes1
.

After buying/selling contracts, I have learned a few things. (1) Buy where you want to stay. (2) Buy for your normal travel pattern. (3) Buy sooner than later.

That gives me alittle more hope, thanks Norm, even 7 or 7:30 would be cool, DD is older so she should be able to handle the party better this time.

I wasn't going on her age, I just didn't want to miss any party time eating. And, that is not something I say often.

Agreed. In our opinion MNSSHP combined with F&W at Epcot makes October the month pot choice. MVMCP was OK, but not nearly as good as the Halloween party. Hoping to hit the party again this year on our October trip.:thumbsup2.

I'm hoping for that special week in November where you can still get the MNSSHP and the MVMCP. I don't know if F&W would be going then.

I am trying for BoG, I know it's slim odds since people have had 9 days head start but if I can't get one I'll try again next trip, most running websites say no alcohol 48 hrs before a race but if I get an ADR I have to have a beer in MK lol

I got a bottle of Kronenburg there, the same one they had at Chefs de France. I certainly can't give you running tips, other than to avoid running.

WDW is 180 day out for food ADRs. I think FP+ is at 60 days out.

It might feel better since we own SSR. LOL
:

We originally bought a resale SSR contract. It is a nice resort and it was a low cost. But, it is just not the one we really wanted. You also have more people in your family to consider.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Good Luck Brother! Hope you feel better soon.

We got a late reservation last year, but it took calling continually for about a month. It seems you have to get lucky by calling as someone else cancels. If you don't get it right away, don't give up. Keep trying back and maybe you'll get lucky. I actually think we got TikkiDaddy's cancellation when he rebooked earlier last year.:thumbsup2

Happy Friday!

180 days, but there seems to be a way to do it sooner for some since certain ones are always gone when we get to 180 days.

Thank you! Hate admitting this but I have never had Tonga Toast and it sounds amazing so wanted to make it a must have this trip.

Wow before and after? Lol I'm gonna have to take advantage of that training, I was planning one before and many after but now I can do many before and after.

I know you wernt going off DDs age, last time she was 3 so early party time was key, this time we can get there at 5 and hopefully BoG at some point and she should last longer at the party this time.
