That didn't work with my wife either... I thought my logic was sound. :-)

I still think it's sound logic and fact ,but mothers have a diff scientific logic that destroys all facts we know on the subject.

She got me back for Fathers Day, at wal mart she threw a t-shirt at me and said Happy Fathers Day and told me to buy it.
Times that I think about that, I'm happy to be single lol

Sounds like the league is going to tell him.

Seems like they thought it was about as big a deal as everyone other than Subban did; $2,800 fine. Nothing more than a slap on the wrist for him.

Pretty dumb thing to do, but its one of those things you think they'd referee themselves (i.e. drop gloves at some point in game 6) rather than whine about. I mean, it was a squirt of water at the end of a game... Sometimes I miss old school hockey.

Regardless, it's taking away what's been a great series so far. Time to just let it die.

Well fellow dads, because of past failures I refrained from posting any "quitting smoking" post. But I feel like I can safely post that I have been on chantix for 10 days and nicotine free for 3. Overall I feel really good about it and my family and my interest in running/health helps motivate me to keep it up.

Well done, congrats!!! :cool1:

Have a great trip and good luck on the computer. You are welcome to buy me an ipad air anytime. :lmao:

Can't wait leave tomorrow morning. It will take about an hour to drive there.

He looks like he is having a miserable time. Hope he perks up a bit when you are in the World. Have fun.

Yeah he can be a pretty unhappy baby. Lol

Have a great trip!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1

Thank you we are excited.

My son is finally learning that. My job is almost done. :lmao:

Howdy fellow dads, hope all is well.... Who am I kidding I hope all is well with this Dis Moms out there today! Happy Mothers Day! It was sweet DD told me Happy Mothers Day this morning, not sure if she actually recognizes that I'm doing both roles or if she was being a smart ***

Depends on her age. Anywhere between 8 and 25 go with the latter.

Hope you all have a great Mother's Day, well at least the mother out there. If they don't, I'm sure you will here about it. ;)

:rolleyes1

6 years ago I learned that the hard way! Helped both girls make a present for their mom, she seemed happy till around noon and I asked what was wrong she said " you didn't get me anything" I brilliantly replied " ummm your not my mother" I have never seen fire burn in someone's eyes till that day.

Never made that mistake :scared1:.

Can't wait leave tomorrow morning. It will take about an hour to drive there...

Safe travels and enjoy every minute.

I still think it's sound logic and fact ,but mothers have a diff scientific logic that destroys all facts we know on the subject.

And, it is not a logical code that either Spock could ever determine.

Never made that mistake :scared1:.
.

Me neither. Even when they say they don't want a present for 'insert calendar event', it means you better buy them a good present. :lmao:

Good morning. The rain pretty much dodged us over the weekend as it moved through. We could watch the radar all weekend and see the storms split 2 counties west of us and go just north and just south of us. It worked really well for letting us get some work done this weekend, but I really hope this isn't a sign of our coming summer weather pattern! Things are getting dry and we could use some moisture.

Anyway, since we didn't get the rain we were expecting, we stayed busy in the fields Friday and Saturday and finished planting corn at around 8pm Saturday. We've got about 350 acres of soybeans left, but my uncle is in charge of taking care of that while dad and I work on getting ready to spray and start applying nitrogen to the corn. Still work to do, but those aren't nearly as time consuming or as urgent as getting seed in the ground. :thumbsup2

Hopefully you will be able to get a bit of rest now. Here hoping for a good growing season.

If he gets the tickets, and I get the beer, what do we need you for exactly? :confused3

And please don't say "the company"...
Because he's the only thing between your kidney and a sharpened toothbrush handle.

Company? Do you expect me to actually talk to you? I will be there to add class and panache to the gathering. Told the Pirate Princess I will probably be going to Boston and may run into you. She said, "Great. Can you deliver a present for me?"

See what I mean, Paul?

Take it easy on the running part even after they clear you. Be careful of the PT. She is lulling you into a sense of comfort and self confidence. There will soon come a day when she turns into Nurse Ratchet. If she doesn't, she isn't doing her job. Either that or my PT people got tired of seeing me.
I go back on Tuesday. If you don't hear from me by Thursday, send a search team. Make sure they bring a pie.

Hello Everyone,
Brand new dad here to a 10 week old boy- Already have BLT booked 12/6-12/12 (anyone who ownes DVC knows I had to do it a couple of months before the little guy was born!)

Just saw this thread when I was looking for tips about flying and thought I would pop in and say hi :wave2:
Welcome to the club!
So he'll be about 7 months or so when you fly? Try to give him a bottle or pacifier on takeoff and landing to help with the pressure changes. If he cries or screams the entire flight (and it happens. My son did it for both legs of the flight when he was 1), so be it. Every single person on that plane was once a child and screamed and cried in public as well. They booked a flight to Orlando knowing full well that there would be families with small kids on that plane. If they have a problem with it, there are 6 doors on those planes - tell them to find the nearest one and use it. But we're not stopping the plane for you to do it!

I'm almost embarressed to admit I just discoved Dole whips and O'Hana in 2013!
But the key point is that now you have. :thumbsup2

I would think Chip and Dale would be more appropriate.

Awww, nuts.

Good to hear planting is taken care of. Maybe you should take a drive 2 counties west and see what heck they're doing over there to split the weather. Maybe someone erected a rain-splitter-inator. There's probably a self destruct button on it somewhere.

So did it hurt? How long did it take? Just curious…. popcorn::

The procedure itself was about 15 minutes or so, and all in all it's not too bad. More uncomfortable than painful. If you've ever been hit in that area playing sports, you know there are two stages to the pain:

Stage 1: Horrible, writhing agony. Feels like your man parts have entered your digestive system.

Stage 2: They're sore, you're walking gingerly and kinda grumpy.

This procedure was like skipping to stage 2. Ice and Tylenol worked just fine. And I watched TV while the wife brought me snacks. You could do worse.

Morning guys! Happy Mothers Day to all the Disney Moms.

Mark, hope you and the boys are feeling better.

Prayers for all those in need. Welcome to all who are new !

Thanks David, but I think you have bigger things to worry about! Hope everything is going well.

So, younger dd's soccer game was cancelled yesterday, so we made a last minute trip to Louisville for some fun and to visit my mom for mother's day. We did lunch at the Cheesecake factory and saw Captain America: Winter Soldier. I really enjoyed the movie. I also like the plot similarities between the movie and TV show.

Agreed. One of the best Marvel movies so far.

Hope you all have a great Mother's Day, well at least the mother out there. If they don't, I'm sure you will here about it. ;)

I don't care what she says, the treadmill was a great present.

I just want to say good luck. We're all counting on you.

Nope.

I can have you taken care of in about 7 seconds. 3 if you don't squirm.

See you in August! :wave2::teeth:

I saw some cool Mickey scissors you could use...

That's what we (and the Disboards) are all about. How to have even more fun at wdw. After trying all the combos, I like the dole whip float - swirl soft serve with pineapple juice.

I finally made it to all of them @ WDW, and then they go and build VGF. :furious: :lmao:
BLT is the fave, followed by BWV. I liked AKV Kidani (savanna view). The only thing I missed was that extra transportation from a DVC resort. I'm thinking a ski lift from AKV to AKL would be cool.

That's the combo I like best also! I'm really excited to try BWV/BCV- I just think it would be really cool to be on the boardwalk area at night- The problem I have is I like going in Oct/Dec- so it's next to impossible to get 7month reservations, and the other times I go usually are "last minutes" (3-4 months in advance)

If PK could take the whinning/Diving out of his game, he would be considered top 5 player today, that one-timer last game after he was jumping was amazing!

Happy send the Canadian's golfing day! :happytv:

Thank you!

I'm not too worried about other people- I'm flying southwest and it's one of 2 airlines that flies direct to MCO, every flight is packed with families so they should know what they're getting into :rotfl:

I'm just not sure if I want to buy him his own seat or not

Of course I just had a co-worker go last week, and she said the lady in front of them put her seat back all the way everytime she got up (making the 18 mth old son scream since he was sitting on the dad's lap) and she would just turn around and give them looks :confused3

Good morning guys. Trust all the Moms had a good day yesterday and if not - you asked for it.

Congrats and keep it up. Gave up dipping / chew almost 3 years ago now so you can do this.

Here's to you getting done what you need to get done and then for the rain you need.

I think this is consecutive Monday morning ownage!

What day are we drinking?

You mean there is a day you are not drinking?:confused3 Not sure I understand.

:thumbsup2 I enjoy sitting next to CJ and drinking beer while watching Boston sporting events. ::yes:: The last time was a blast! :rotfl2:

If he gets the tickets, and I get the beer, what do we need you for exactly? :confused3

And please don't say "the company"...

;)

I am. All joking aside, that would be awesome. :thumbsup2

Are you and a guest around on July 2nd? Darcy is coming in and I have the tix and can't go as I need to be in Long Island. He has 6 going and we have 2 extra tickets. Let me know. If not, we may need to import some more Canadians, and no one wants that.

And it looks like the B's are up 3-2 now! Of course I was at a birthday party for my 3 year old niece so got to see exactly zero of that game. Saw the water squirting incident at the end on ESPN and have only one thing to say.........:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:.

I see another business opportunity.

Barry's "Drive by Vasectomy" service. Cash only. No paperwork. No consent. Even takes referrals from jilted ex-girlfriends. :lmao:

Hmmm...I'll need to get the van back so I can have a mobile surgical suite.

I saw you did a run over the weekend, Congrats! :thumbsup2

Pie is always a good gift idea! Beer is better! ;)
It wasn't exactly a run - I wasn't even aware that RunKeeper posted it. We took the kids and the dogs for a walk down to the lake to enjoy the nice evening. But 2+ miles with little pain is a good thing!

I'm not too worried about other people- I'm flying southwest and it's one of 2 airlines that flies direct to MCO, every flight is packed with families so they should know what they're getting into :rotfl:

We've done it both ways with our kids. We bought my older son his own seat and he screamed because he was buckled it. We flew several times with my younger son as a lap child and never had an issue. If he got crappy with mom, I took him. If he got crabby with me, his mom took him. Eventually he found someone to get comfortable on and fell asleep.

That's why we ended up buying there. October is Fall Break here, which makes a great time to go to WDW - smaller crowds, cooler weather, and MNSSHP. I bought a SSR resale contract initially, and while I liked the resort, DW and I wanted to be within walking distance of a park. Ultimately, we sold that contract and now have the BWV contract. I would have liked BLT, but it takes more points to stay there than BWV.

Congrats and keep it up. Gave up dipping / chew almost 3 years ago now so you can do this..

Almost 14 years for me and i still miss it. I never chewed, but enjoyed Kodiak Wintergreen. I bought them by the roll.

Good Morning fellow dads! Thank you everyone for the well wishes on stopping smoking. Have more withdraws today but I am focused, most people say make it a week and the withdraws should be gone so I'm over halfway there.

Hmmm...I'll need to get the van back so I can have a mobile surgical suite.
.

You got it. Now that I thought of the idea, you put up all the money for the van & equipment, take all the risks, work really hard, and send me 25% of your earnings. I'm changing my name to congress. :lmao:

I think this is consecutive Monday morning ownage!

I'll review the thread and see if I can verify that. :lmao:

You mean there is a day you are not drinking?:confused3 Not sure I understand..

There are plenty of those days. I didn't drink the day before my last Dr visit - you know - to skew the lab test results. I did make up for it when I got home. That prostate test is traumatizing. :crazy2:
