Happy Friday Eve guys. Couple more meetings today and then off to the airport to return home tonight. T-minus two days and counting :cool1:

Morning guys. The in laws are coming this weekend so the kids are a buzz with extra energy. If only I could harness that energy into power (insert evil laugh).

I took them to the farmers market yesterday and they thought it was pretty cool. We bought some veggies and had them with dinner. It was fun to watch them interact with some of the vendors.
Dave - This is such a great story and great to hear that everything is working out great for your family and the kids. Keep these updates coming as these are the things that life is really about :thumbsup2

Before I left work yesterday, I found out a shipment of training manuals hadn't been delivered to a training site. So, I get to waste a bunch of time today going through multiple departments to find out who didn't do their job. Fortunately, there is no accountability so everyone aspires to mediocrity.

Today is my Friday again. I have enjoyed these four day work weeks during the summer. Maybe I should make that my goal for next year. :teacher:

And we are still open

We are always open. Open for what?

Tonight we went to the PC Richards Night of Trills at Raceway Park:cool1:, before the show they had the regular street car racing, after I told my son that I used to do that many years ago with the one Mustang in the garage he got real excited:good vibes, so now I'm thinking:scratchin maybe In a couple years go back to racing, it would probably take about $1500 to get the car back into racing shape (mostly due to newer safety regulations), but after watching the races I think I could beat at least 75%+ in my bracket (based on past runs):confused3

My neighbor in Louisville used to race amateurs at Louisville Motor Speedway. I wish I had learned something from him when he was working on the car. Good luck if you decide to get back in it.

Good luck with the inlaws. It sounds like the family is doing well together. Have you adjusted yet?

You happen to have a link to your TR on the site?
!

That's a good idea. I'll see if I can find that and add it to my signature. I took some pictures, but don't think I did a written trip report for that one. I may have just put the pictures here and in the KY DVC thread instead.

Here is the link to the page with pictures and link to the podcast. http://disdads.com/archives/date/2013/08

Ah, one of those vacations where you need a vacation after the vacation. I haven't done one of those in awhile. Have fun?

Seems like ours always turn out that way. And we keep going back!

Have a great trip Mark!

Thanks David!

Not sure why this came to mind.

This "last day of the week" thing must be contagious. After DS's baseball game tonight, we're heading up to my sister's cabin for our annual family fun weekend. We usually have about 15-20 people up there, but this year, my Aunt, several other cousins and their families will be joining us, bringing the total to around 30. Should be a lot of fun.

Have fun. I hope the cabin has a two-holer. ;)

Good morning gentlemen,

We're taking some time off from painting the house so we can come up for air. Nothing much new here. I put in my monthly bid for full time. This time its looking really promising. I'm already getting 40 hours but with full time comes guaranteed hours and a pretty good health package.

The on again off again Disneyland at Christmas trip has officially been pushed back a couple of years. We're going to combine it with a cruise of the Mexican Riviera once the kids are old enough to do the excursions. And hopefully the rumors of Tomorrowland being turning into Star Wars Land come true by then.

I hope everyone is doing well. Just 6 more weeks and I should be able to keep up.

Edit: Dang it Barry.

Good morning Dads. (It is still before noon here)

It is also my Friday. We have every second Friday off (9 hour days M-Th and every other Friday is an 8 hour, for a total of 80 hours every 2 weeks).

House hunting planned tomorrow with DW. Other than that, we have no major plans for the weekend. No doubt there will be a "Honey-do" list in there somewhere along with some yard work.

Got some really sad news yesterday. A distant friend (whom I keep up with on FB) lost his oldest DD (14) to a sudden Brain Aneurism, just two days after her first day of High School (year round school). So, hug your kids tight and if you feel led to, please lift up my friend's family in prayer.

Sorry to start the weekend off on a bummer-foot....

That sounds Great Ron!

By the way, does it look like this?

I don't think he could handle the ladder after his second case of Old Milwaukee.

I handle my ladder best after drinking. Oh, wait. That's a reference to it leaning to the right. Oh, wait ..... :lmao:

I wonder if I could get tshirts printed for the office. Nah, too much work.

Perhaps they were shipped here. I'm not looking in either door. :lmao:

Thanks, Norm! I just got through Randall and Jodi's TR. Good stuff. I'm starting to listen to the podcasts while doing some tedious admin stuff at work.

Welcome. Hope your not too disappointed.

Prayers for your friend. Good advice - plan for the future but live in the moment.
