Homemade pizza and breadsticks with the dds tonight. 3 pizzas - cheese, pepperoni, and pineapple & ham; and cinnamon breadsticks. I post pictures but they are all gone. They tasted good with Landshark.

Tell me you have a training manual on how to deliver training manuals.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I did. I mailed them one.

We will be doing the same next weekend in Maine. Of course the cabin we go to has no running water. It's basically camping without needing a tent. It is however always fun to get together. Enjoy your weekend.
.

That sounds like fun. I would like to do that with my dds, especially if I can get some lobsters and cook them outside in boiling water or grill.

Need to have my knee redone, putting it off until after summer softball and the planned August and October trips. Don't want to take any chances. Hope everything goes well..

I've avoided the sports doctor. My family dr has been treating my knee with prednisone. I don't know if it is anything worse than tendinitis, but I'm too chicken to find out. Since Obamacare, my insurance is great for co-pays for family doctor, but for any type of outpatient procedures, I'd have to sell my DVC. I'll wait for the kidney stones and see if they'll scope my knee at the same time. :lmao:

Have a great couple of weeks, fellas. And please pray that we'll be able to manage this trip with the baby. :faint:

Have a great trip. The car made my dds sleep, so hopefully, you'll have good luck.

. For most of them it is a 2-3 day event but for me it is almost 5 months of work with very little return..

It's the equivalent % of making, eating, and cleaning after pizzas with my dds.

It sounds like they are assimilating well and good for Sara. County fair, a good way to introduce the kids to the many ways Americans invented to fry food. Have a great weekend.
.

We are the Borg. Prepare for assimilation. Resistance is futile. :lmao:

Not what you meant, but I don't have many opportunities to reference Star Trek. :happytv:

Evening guys. Just about packed, just waiting for DW to get ready in the a.m. so we can finish packing up her "toolbox". This trip is gonna be a bit challenging with DW in a wheelchair but we will manage - after all that's what we have DS for :rotfl2:

Will do my best to post a few pics while at DaWorld. All have a great weekend and upcoming week.

Got some really sad news yesterday. A distant friend (whom I keep up with on FB) lost his oldest DD (14) to a sudden Brain Aneurism, just two days after her first day of High School (year round school). So, hug your kids tight and if you feel led to, please lift up my friend's family in prayer.
Prayers and will give the kids a couple extra hugs during our trip.
Happy Friday eve, men.

Tomorrow will be one week out from my knee surgery. I'm not scared but anxious. I just want to get it done and move forward with the rehab. I don;t want a bum knee to slow me down in November.
Good luck with the surgery and agree about summer going way too fast this year.

Next time 2 shots of VO and a beer. It's a fact that it cures insomnia. I read it on the Internet somewhere so it has to be true.

That's the best way to always exceed expectations.:thumbsup2
It's served me well for the better part of my 39 years.

Need to have my knee redone, putting it off until after summer softball and the planned August and October trips. Don't want to take any chances. Hope everything goes well.
I was kind of bummed with the timing b\c I was planning on doing 2 more 5Ks, one of them an obstacle course race..with zombies. Did 2 of those last year. But ultimately I'll rehab as aggressively as permitted and be ready for about 7 miles a day at WDW in November. :thumbsup2

What a week. My entire family is whooped and it showed in everyone's disposition. DW has to work tomorrow still, so she's exceptionally crabby. It was Girl Scout Day Camp and my wife is a co-leader for my oldest DDs troop, so she's tired and moody. the kids are just plain tired and quite frankly held up pretty well. But you could tell they were beat.

I survived a hostile work week. My toughest review was today but I stayed the course and made sure that my statements were factually accurate.

Bright moment for me this week was when I started listening to the DISDad podcasts. And I'm now becoming addicted.

@Norm -I felt like I was at Hilton Head with the details that you provided for your TR.
@Randall - very nice perspective on various things about your birthday trip. And Jodi is a keeper. :thumbsup2

No more work!

Have a great couple of weeks, fellas. And please pray that we'll be able to manage this trip with the baby. :faint:
Safe travels!!!

It has been awhile and just had time for a brief read through. Seems like Situation Normal.

We were having a great year here. Dry, low humidity and plenty of sun, but lately the sky has opened up. Not a good situation as the disease pressure is really going to build and weeds will come on like mad. I checked my hops and I am hoping the cones mature before the diseases take over. I'm also in charge of growing 1500 pumpkins for pre-K-1st graders that come in for Pumpkin Days and really don't need cool rainy weather. I'll be very happy when the people who think this is a good idea retire. For most of them it is a 2-3 day event but for me it is almost 5 months of work with very little return.

Have a great weekend and bacon for all.
May your days be filled with little rain and lots of sun.

Got up to 1,086,964. Fell asleep about 3:00 and was up a little before 7:00. Welcome to my life.

i would do a side trip but I need to be in DC to catch a ride with a friend to attend a wedding in Western PA. It is a second marriage though, maybe I could blow it off.
LOL… better not blow it off. No reason to get someone pissed at you.

Wimp. A real man would put his foot down and go. I met Mel and I am sure she wouldn't mind.
Ummmmm… yea. How 'bout you come and tell her. :duck:

Anyone notice how close we are getting to the end:eek:

Evening from Sarnia. Reunited with the girls now everyone's happy. Crazy day today, way too busy. Certainly earned this time off.

Tomorrow's agenda is the usual Sarnia fare.... Going over the river to Port Huron for a bit, then relaxing and visiting with the inlaws.

Evening Gents. Successful house hunting trip. We've narrowed it down to 2 houses. Same lost price for both. Now the hard part. Deciding on the one.

A good day at work yesterday. The General counsel came in to my office and handed me an envelope with a letter and said "thanks for all your work so far this year." I was a little confused, since I have only been there for 5 months. Apparently, this is the time of year where we hear about pay increases, so I got a modest raise. The company is doing well, could be better, but still doing well enough to give modest raises.

All in all not a bad way to start the weekend.

Have a good one fellas!

Morning all. Another low temp day here. DW is off with her dad on a family reunion 4 hours away to the hollers of Eastern KY. Maybe I'll get some moonshine on her return.

In the meantime, a neighbor up the street is having a yard sale, so there is a lot of traffic. Maybe I should throw out some nails in the road and do a 300% mark up on fix-a-flat around the corner. :drive: :lmao:

I'm telecommuting available for a highly paid, unqualified assistant position. :lmao:

Speaking of race…. I have a 5K tomorrow morning that I haven't trained for. I'm running it with Melody so I think we will walk/jog. I can't afford to mess up my leg again.

I don't know anything about running, other than I avoid it at all times, but aren't you supposed to train or something?

Guess I need to re-read the guidelines. I was around when the race started at page 200 or earlier. :rotfl2:

Stick to the code, er um guidelines, er um man laws, er um page 1, or just do whatyalike.

Good luck. Hope you don't get any flack at WDW about dd in her wheelchair. If you do, Paul has your bail money covered.

Thanks. Sounds like your bunch had a busy week. Hopefully you can relax this weekend.

...

I've been waiting since page 2...

The race can't begin until page 250, per the official Disdad guidelines... Come on man!:scared:

Today is my last day to customize the Magic Bands!

Anybody know how long after that they will be shipped?

I am so looking forward to going - the whole family is. The tough part is for the kids because once we come back, school starts up the next week.

I don't recall the time frame but i was FAST. I remember going in to look a them again to see if I wanted to change anything and they were already en route!

Tough break for the kids. At least it's the beginning of school. It would be worse going back to school with homework and tests looming!
