I would get her new fishing rod, shotgun, hotrod, boat...well, maybe not the shotgun.
That was the year she got nothing for her birthday. Needless to say after three very terse days we came to an agreement. "Don't mess with my golf fund and I'll spoil your @$$ on your birthday."

I noticed your from Forest Lake. I'm down south of Prior Lake. We'll have to plan a meet up.

You get a golf fund? That's great.
Yeah it's $200 I get from my grandmother for birthday and Christmas.

Good Morning.

DS had his first playoff game last night is hoops against my nephews team. We came out and built a 15 point lead right away and then we lost our rhythm. Let the come back and we were down by 8 with 3 minutes left. DS hit a 3, a 2 and 2 foul shots to bring us within one. With 5 seconds left, we were down 2 and other team on the foul line. We got the rebound, and the ball got to DS with 2 seconds left. He hit a 3 point shot from about 6 feet behind the 3 point line for the win with no time left. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

On to round 2.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Brent congrats on 5,000! That plus $3,000 will get you another trip back to WDW.

I wish $3000 is all I'd need.

Congrats on 5000, but you really are in some serious trouble if you're coming here to be kept sane. :rotfl2:

Yeah but here I look less crazy

OK....I've been a part of the site for a little while now and have been a non-participating member of the DDC #702, but I think it is high time I introduced myself and maybe participate with the coolest kids on the forum.

Real Name: George
Location: Bradenton, FL
Family Situation: Married w/ 3 kids (10 - the girl. 8 - boy 1, 7 - boy 2)
Occupation: Real estate (acquiring, selling, renting....)
Pets: 2 dogs and the loudest guinea pig on earth
Favorite Food: Pulled pork, BBQ ribs (slow cooked/rub)
Favorite Drink: Sam Adams Double Agent IPL

Typical dad; loves to grill, little league coach, soccer coach, football nut (FSU and Miami Dolphins), Baseball fanatic (FSU and Tampa Bay Rays). Besides my family and Disney I have a small obsession with FSU (wife and I are alums). Enjoy fishing and camping and even though I live on the coast....I hate the beach (sand:mad:), love the gulf.

I guess that enough for now.

Re-welcome! 702 is a good number, my old ID number for years at work.

No problem....

One advantage to living in Florida....grilling (or Smoking) year round...

Florida? Norm might be along soon to look at prospective hook-ups for his RV

So I recently had one of those milestone birthdays. The snow combined with being married to a crazy person made it a little interesting. Observe.

Me: Honey, if I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn't be more surprised than I am right now.

Happy Birthday??:confused3

Good to hear from you. Another advantage of you living in Florida is that the rest of us have another front yard to park our campers in and mooch off you. How quick can you get hookups installed? And, I promise to wear my robe when I empty the chemical toilet in your sewer. :lmao:

See???

Lucky you, that is better than the snow shovel I got for Christmas.

.. But 2 weeks of mom cramping our style (if you know what I mean:cool2:) is a bit of a drag.

No clue, what you mean, though I wish I did. :rolleyes2

Yep. A colonoscopy..

Yeah, thanks for reminding me I need to schedule that this year. Aren't you just a bundle of giggles today!

:rotfl2:

Yeah it's $200 I get from my grandmother for birthday and Christmas.

It's a fund. I had to use Christmas cash this year to meet the budget. DW and budget do not have an accord during Christmas.

:
I wish $3000 is all I'd need.??

I can do the trip for less than $3K, but I'm DVC. Mark just added kid #4. I want to know his secret.

Florida? Norm might be along soon to look at prospective hook-ups for his RV

See???

I'm always watching. Ready to mooch at moment's notice.

Lucky you, that is better than the snow shovel I got for Christmas..

But, you can give that gift to your children and they can get to work.

I've said it before, your wife and mine must have been separated at birth.

But, you can give that gift to your children and they can get to work.
I actually like shoveling. It is like working my bees or pulling weeds. People leave me alone when there is work to be done.

Just wanted to say hello, I haven't been by in real loooooong time, but I'm planning a family trip to WDW in May and we're bringing my granddaughter (5) and my mother as well. First time for both of them. The thought of introducing WDW to new people has me stoked and I'm all over the sites I used to frequent. I've always been more of a lurker than poster, but I've been back checking out DIS Dads and there is no bunch of folks quite like DIS Dads!!! This group is awesome:thumbsup2

Welcome back to the fold Bill! :)

I have a couple of undeveloped lots....there is no hook-up but there is no reason we couldn't "borrow" the electricity and water from the neighbors...Robe optional....

Morning...March Break has begun, but not going anywhere...the weather is supposed to go to the up side of zero today, I'll believe it when I see it.

I actually like shoveling. It is like working my bees or pulling weeds. People leave me alone when there is work to be done.

I feel the same way when I get into a project at work, or when it's a busier. I like it when the only ones who bother me are my customers, other staff leave me alone. Still like going in early when no one else is there, it's quiet and I can do things in peace.

Welcome back, excellent on going with first timers, you can sort of re-live the whole "first time" experience.

Whoo hooo.
Got my first pin code. I went on MDE yesterday just messing around to see how far out they had rates for. When I checked my email this morning there it was for the last 2 weeks of August, its about 25% off rack rate for a room and ticket package, 6 night/7days. Now I just need the $3000 to pay for it. Lol. And yes we can make the trip for 3k if we drive. I can do it flying to but them we can't eat.

Morning all. Not yet 8:00 AM at the office and all my work is done. I'll try to stay thru noon.

A squirrel told me that we are finally done with winter. It's about as reliable as anything else.

Hey Cliff. Great news on pin. There is always blood, plasma, or other donation. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Said just like an old curmudgeon. I hear ya. I do enjoy those moments as well.

Planning Disney vacations is a lot of fun. I've been planning my October trip. Maybe I'll revisit that today.

I have a couple of undeveloped lots....there is no hook-up but there is no reason we couldn't "borrow" the electricity and water from the neighbors...Robe optional....

Even better. And, I'm certainly ok with borrowing electricity. Heck, after a few no robe trips outside, your neighbors may pay to have those hookups installed. :lmao:

Are you sure? I am really pretty. :lmao: :rotfl:

:

I already donate plasma. That's my beer and gas money. I could give up the beer to save money, but I may off one of my girls with out it. Its better for the safety of my family if I have alcohol.

Oh yeah.

If she spent money on this, I'm not sure things would be going so well. My mom paid for the trip since it was her idea- so that's good. But 2 weeks of mom cramping our style (if you know what I mean:cool2:) is a bit of a drag.
Yep. A colonoscopy, some college tuitions and a rocking chair. But hey- I'll get to make those catch-up payments on the 401k!

That a way to stay positive.:lmao::lmao: Congrats on the trip being a go.

Sounds like the year DW took my golf fund (cash my Grandma gives me every year) and used it to buy tires on her car. Oh, and happy birthday.

You still get money from your grandma?:rotfl2: Lucky duck. So when are we going golfing?

Hey Chris!

Happy Birthday!

3 days late, but Happy Belated Birthday Chris!:bday:party:

I second that. Can we make that a man law? Any picture of Norm must be fully clothed? Please......anyone.:lmao::lmao::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Congrats on the pin. If you find a way to get the $$ let me know. Booked our plane tickets (using SW points. 4 flights to WDW for free........priceless.) this morning for the trip and got a great deal on the rental car through Alamo ($216 total for the 8 days). This is 3 years in a row I have had enough points to get the free flights.:cool1::cool1:

Take a break, your working way too hard.

A squirrel told me that we are finally done with winter. It's about as reliable as anything else.

Yeah, I tried that already. The squirrels around here are pi$$ed they can't get through the 2 feet of ice to dig up the corns they buried in the fall.:lmao::lmao:

Planning Disney vacations is a lot of fun. I've been planning my October trip. Maybe I'll revisit that today.

While I'm sure it's on page one, I'm too lazy to go look. When are you going. Still a potential October dad/daughter trip on the table.

Have an extra kidney laying around? That will net you a few $. :bitelip:

Morning Dads. Hope everyone is doing well.

We will be there in mid May. Making a trip just the 3 of us can't wait!

'Morning all...
Lots of rain here but no ice.
I'll call that a win.

Yeah but here I look less crazy
That may be the great sacred truth governing this group.

Welcome back both of ya’.
Enjoy the planning and upcoming trips (and feel free to keep hanging around even afterward).

Morning...March Break has begun, but not going anywhere...the weather is supposed to go to the up side of zero today, I'll believe it when I see it.

The mid-term break starts up over at WCU this coming week as well.
We’ll not be traveling anywhere special either, apart from heading up into the mountains to collect our boy (well, and the trip to haul him back up there next weekend). His momma is very much looking forward to having her baby back in the house for a bit. I suspect that may wear off about mid-week, but still…

I feel the same way when I get into a project at work, or when it's a busier. I like it when the only ones who bother me are my customers, other staff leave me alone. Still like going in early when no one else is there, it's quiet and I can do things in peace.

Another old curmudgeon reporting for duty…
I’m always happiest when everyone else leaves me the heck alone.

I’m do believe I’ll be sidein’ with Brent on this one.

I was going to keep it as a special treat for those neighbors who are mad I won't sell the lot to their nephew at a "discounted rate"....

The nerve of you for refusing to cut your own hand off just because they feel you own them special treatment for no justifiable reason.

Whoo hooo.

Cool! Hope you can put it to good use.
I’ve had to throw out the last four PINs I acquired.
(And it ain’t looking so good for any others that may arrive in the near either)

It’s the fuel that allowed our “Founding Fathers” to compromise on just enough issues to actually do a little bit of “Founding”.
I say more alcohol for every one!

Now where’s the rum?
