Had a nice day at Islands of Adventure yesterday. Our only mistake was buying the ultimate express pass. There was no line longer than 30 minutes anywhere. In fact, the coasters were pretty much a walk on.
We bought it when we went to Universal in Cali and didn't need it. You know if you didn't buy it you would have needed it, right? :3dglasses

Quiet day today, maybe a Braves game this evening if it doesn't rain.
Have fun. WWoS is a really nice stadium to catch a game.

OK....I've been a part of the site for a little while now and have been a non-participating member of the DDC #702, but I think it is high time I introduced myself and maybe participate with the coolest kids on the forum.

Real Name: George
Location: Bradenton, FL
Family Situation: Married w/ 3 kids (10 - the girl. 8 - boy 1, 7 - boy 2)
Occupation: Real estate (acquiring, selling, renting....)
Pets: 2 dogs and the loudest guinea pig on earth
Favorite Food: Pulled pork, BBQ ribs (slow cooked/rub)
Favorite Drink: Sam Adams Double Agent IPL

Typical dad; loves to grill, little league coach, soccer coach, football nut (FSU and Miami Dolphins), Baseball fanatic (FSU and Tampa Bay Rays). Besides my family and Disney I have a small obsession with FSU (wife and I are alums). Enjoy fishing and camping and even though I live on the coast....I hate the beach (sand:mad:), love the gulf.

I guess that enough for now.
Welcome back George! Can't understand how the Sam Adams is your favorite beer though. YUCK! ;)

... with a step ladder.
Or a trampoline!

Welcome! I bolded a few items in your description. The last two might help with the first one.....

Then it's on like Phi Slamma Jamma!
I've also been known to block my son's shot all the way into the street, wag my finger at him and yell "NOT IN MY HOUSE!"

Morning guys. I'm hoping this situation in Ukraine gets resolved soon. Poland is a neighbor and we are worried that if this escalates we may be delayed in traveling. Of course, I also don't want to see anyone lose their life. It almost feels like the Russia of old, trying to bully the little countries of Eastern and Central Europe :(
And there is a bit of tension in the Donetsk region specifically. That's where our Ukranian visitor was from. Not sure if she's still there or not but I hope her adoption gets finalized soon. I think Poland will be ok. Of course if Russia decides to go all "Hulk-Smash", nobody is really gonna be ok.
Apparently Superman wanted his ship back......

What exactly would Superman be doing with a ship?

So I recently had one of those milestone birthdays. The snow combined with being married to a crazy person made it a little interesting. Observe.

DW: So, I have a lot of fun things planned for your birthday but the snow is making me stress out.

Me: Ok...

DW: Do you wanna know what the surprise is?

Me: Do you want me to know?

DW: Well why don't you try 20 questions?

[After 22 questions I was able to determine that it was not something outside, expensive, edible, an activity, a place to go, something to watch, or a party]

Me with guess 23: Is my mom coming?

DW: Yes! She was going to come to help with Abigail [DD with broken leg] but we decided to make that your present also.

Me: .....

DW: Do you wanna know how long she'll be here?

Me: I don't know, do I?

DW: 2 weeks!

Me: .......

DW: .......

DW: Are you surprised?

Me: Honey, if I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn't be more surprised than I am right now.

They sent him here in one....

Wow! She spent a lot of money on you for your birthday present this year. Try not to have too much fun. You need to ensure that you reciprocate that on her birthday! :rotfl:

Whoa, now that the precedent has been set…
just imagine the caliber of giftage awaiting you once you turn 50.
:lmao:

Of course you still have a ticker claiming that you’re headed off to The World in a few days, so you still got that going for ya’.

Which is nice.

They sent him here in one....
Oh yeah.

If she spent money on this, I'm not sure things would be going so well. My mom paid for the trip since it was her idea- so that's good. But 2 weeks of mom cramping our style (if you know what I mean:cool2:) is a bit of a drag.

Yep. A colonoscopy, some college tuitions and a rocking chair. But hey- I'll get to make those catch-up payments on the 401k!

Yes! The trip is back to a full go. DD the younger is doing great so the local grandparents aren't at all worried about watching her.

Too true, just wish we hadn't dropped $200 bucks on the three passes.

Looks like the rain stopped in time and the ball game should be a go.

Oh boy. Time to get her a treadmill for her birthday. Wait a sec, she might actually like that. :badpc:

Sounds like the year DW took my golf fund (cash my Grandma gives me every year) and used it to buy tires on her car. Oh, and happy birthday.

No, man up and give her a toilet brush and a mop :duck::lmao:
:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:
I suggest a vacuum or a new washer dryer.

I would get her new fishing rod, shotgun, hotrod, boat...well, maybe not the shotgun.

On the road but had a couple of minutes to scan through. Cheers, prayers and congrats to anything I may have missed.

CJ - thinking of ya and Pirate Princess - continued prayers and positive thoughts

Good Morning. DS had his first playoff game last night is hoops against my nephews team. We came out and built a 15 point lead right away and then we lost our rhythm. Let the come back and we were down by 8 with 3 minutes left. DS hit a 3, a 2 and 2 foul shots to bring us within one. With 5 seconds left, we were down 2 and other team on the foul line. We got the rebound, and the ball got to DS with 2 seconds left. He hit a 3 point shot from about 6 feet behind the 3 point line for the win with no time left. :cool1::cool1::cool1: On to round 2.
Congrats and very cool!

You get a golf fund? That's great.

! ;)

Seems to be the way it always works.

New nickname - Motumbo.

You want me to drive you out to the middle of the dessert, leave you for dead? It may be less painful than having your mother visit for 2 weeks.

No, man up and give her a toilet brush and a mop :duck::lmao:

Wow, what a great idea for our 14th wedding anniversary this year! :lmao:

I'm sure it is a time of year thing, just like WDW.

He is doing better or he is at least acting like he feels better.

Good to hear.

‘
- Norm, would ya’ mind saying a few prayers for my bad habits as well…
I gave up Lent for Lent a while back. I may give up the notion of not drinking this time around..

Absolutely.

Trying the exercise in futility known as "catching up"....

That is funny. How much sleep are you getting?

And when I set the adjustable hoop to 6', I can dunk!
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Motumbo jams.

Good to hear from you. Another advantage of you living in Florida is that the rest of us have another front yard to park our campers in and mooch off you. How quick can you get hookups installed? And, I promise to wear my robe when I empty the chemical toilet in your sewer. :lmao:

:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2: Can still beat DS in the driveway since the area is limited. He has become a pretty good player all around. That is the sign of getting too old. Once the kids can beat you it's time to join the old man leagues.
:

I can still take mine, two on one. I give them the outside shot. I can still spin off a pick and block their shot. Eventually, I won't be able to.

Wow, I didn't realize Kentucky allowed taking a day off even for religious reasons. .

Oh yeah. We are big proponents of separation of church and state, except if it is Christian, then the government has to approve it. State law. :rotfl:
