Morning all. Everything is still status quo. Worked half a day yesterday and spent sone time at the hospital. Today I am off and will make my way up there...

Continued prayers Brent. :grouphug:

...Almond milk crap was not touched but put in the fridge...

It isn't bad. It isn't necessarily good, but it won't give you dysentery either.

Saw the Doctor today. All is going well, but I need to be off for another month. That means I have no problem with going to Disney for the DDCC 2! ...

Congrats on the continued convalescence? :confused3

...Then, in the mail, I received a state audit tax notice from 2011 that I owe $183. Now, I have to dig out those files and see if I can dispute it....

Beverly, peanut butter, tofu. Flat tire. I'm thinking of calling it quits after tomorrow's office Christmas party...

:headache: :headache: Maybe some Maker's Mark will ease your pain.

Well... Left our living room that has a fireplace where I was warm and cozy last night to go to bed and found the rest of the house was 65 degrees. Furnace quit!!! ...

Ouch! :scared1: Glad you could find someone to look at it and hope they can get it fixed asap for you.

4 hours of meetings today that could have been covered in 20 minutes. Sucked any motivation I had left in me out but like my dad says though...you got paid for drinking coffee and sitting which beats digging ditches in the rain.

Plugged in a space heater and cranked the fireplace. Messed around with the furnace for a hour and gave up, had a guy in today who gave me the great news that the heat exchanger is cracked in two places. Unit is about 25 years old so I was expecting it at some point, just not a week before Christmas and on the coldest nights of the year so far. Arrrgggghhh!!

Ouch. Looks like you needed the coal in your stocking this year.

Puts my flat tire in perspective. I hope you can get it fixed soon enough.

Maybe after basketball practice. Probably shouldn't be drunk in front of other people's children at the Baptist Church gym. :scared1:

Moving at the speed of government. Least you had coffee.

Thanks guys, talked to the furnace guy and it looks like we will be changing out the furnace. He is coming in the morning when I'm here and we will go over things then. I think I decided on a two stage furnace, the efficiency is really high and I should save a few bucks on my electric bill overall. The government is offering some rebates when you install a new high efficiency furnace so hopefully I can cash in on that.
Trying to find a silver lining somewhere here....

Compared to what some other of us are going through, a furnace is just a furnace.

Prayers to those that need them.

Hope it all works out for you. I've been watching mine closely for a while now. Trying to limp it along as much as possible.

Just found out that Erie PA is currently winning the snowfall totals for U.S. cities this year  at 45 inches currently (only cities above 100k listed). Lucky for me, I live in a smaller town just far enough from the lake that we've managed quite a bit more.

On a more positive note, DS8 had a cookie competition at scouts tonight. He manged a 3rd place finish with these

Don't look like much, but he mixed, portioned, and decorated almost entirely on his own. All I had to handle was the actual baking to keep wife from getting :scared1:.

Based on the meeting I was at yesterday that would have been a good solid 3 and a half hour nap for me:rotfl2:

Dude... that sucks.

Hope you get that fixed in a jiffy!!!

The best time to put in a new furnace is during this weather... makes you not hesitate one bit to fork over the $$$$....

Just gotta sell a few more chicken combo's... ;)

Congrats to your DS! If these are for the dues, I suggest you bypass Norm's mailbox and send them out direct to the Dads.

SWMBO and I were saying last week how much we liked the Erie area but as soon as you get off the lake plain you get dumped on. A trip to Polakos should ease your suffering a bit.

Excellent work. Congrats to DS. I'm sure you had to do some taste quality control.

Ignore Shawn. Food items should be mailed to me.

Peanut Butter, Beverly, Tofu! And may I add, Almond Milk!

I am done for the year. May have to visit with a donor from one organization but that is it unless an emergency pops up. Starting last night, I am in full holiday mode.

Will there be an almond milk marinade?

Nowhere near it. The only things that will be on the hunk of meat of goodness are lots of garlic, salt and pepper.

I want cookies! Made Blueberry pie yesterday and it didn't look as good as those cookies.

The only time I miss living up north is during the holidays but 45 inches of snow is a bit much.

Morning Duck and have a good day. Goes for everyone else, even Jim. See, I have that Christmas spirit.

Only in Florida. Man captures a three foot gator in a pond then walks into a convenience store to trade it for a six pack. Bet that never happened to you Brent.

Florida Wildlife took a picture of the gator

If I thought they had the slightest chance at holding up to the shipping, I'd love to mail them out. I think we have about 5 dozen various cookies here and no plans for them to go anywhere. If I don't end up OD on sugar this month, I'll count myself lucky.

A tax break/rebate in Canada is a silver lining. :lmao:

Morning David.

Nowhere near it. The only things that will be on the hunk of meat of goodness are lots of garlic, salt and pepper.
.

That's my secret marinade recipe. :lmao: I'll add butter with the turkey.

But, how many fingers did he have left?

If I thought they had the slightest chance at holding up to the shipping, I'd love to mail them out. .

I'll take that chance. :lmao: Enjoy the spoils. DW is making Christmas Candy tomorrow. I'll post pictures but won't mail any.

Three more sleeps till the disney cruise. Oh yeah those lousy clients will make it long. Hope all you dads have a great day today!
