I will start putting out the Christmas decorations next week while taking down the Halloween decorations. We do not light them up until after Thanksgiving, but I prefer to do most of the work before it gets too cold. It's like the Griswald's. Thanksgiving night, we all stand in the yard and turn on the remote.

Of course this is always followed by the Mrs. telling where to move everything the next few days.
We have won the neighborhood light contest two years in a row. We have new neighbors that may be competition judging by the size of their Halloween displays. We already have plans to hit the stores Thanksgiving weekend to get some new stuff. I'll send pics when we get it done.
June is definitely a little early for us. We love Christmas, but I may be ready to hang myself with a tinsel noose if we were starting 6 months early.
