Exactly. That's a retirement plan right there.

Thank you and yes its a great retirement plan :thumbsup2

Are we talking about an 8' goal and a youth basketball? :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Hmmm... intriguing match up. Might just have to have an Indiana vs. Kentucky disdads game.

Congrats!

Good luck! :thumbsup2

Don't be a hater Andy, yes it was an 8' goal. Who spilled the beans that I'm only an inch taller than Spud Webb :lmao:

Thanks for the well wishes

Congrats to y’all. Having made it this far says much about the both of you.

But… just which of the two soles involved is “the poor one”? :rolleyes1:
)

That is all.....

Lots of firsts this trip, including F&W, so far it has been amazing and we have only tried 3 countries. We have decided to use our snack credits at the booths. Canadian Filet, $7.00 also a SC.

Not a bad deal.

Well done!

My first post since returning to the real world on 10\19 :(
And I went back and read all of the posts here. Congrats on the anniversaries, bon voyage to those heading on vacation, prayers to those in need, welcome new dads.

I am suffering from serious depression following our trip. We can't book our next trip for 6 weeks. Friends of ours are leaving today and I am green with envy.

Just finished checking in, pretty seamless, it took us about 10 min total.
We weren't as fortunate with our check-in. It seemed like 10 minutes until our room wasn't ready for 3.5 hours and our MagicBands and KTTW wouldn't open our door.

Morning guys. We met with another family who adopted from Poland on Saturday. It was great watching the kids play and see that even when there is a language barrier, laughter is universally understood :thumbsup2
Very cool. Thanks for sharing.

Consider yourself lucky. We lost over 4 hours fixing issues our first couple of days.

Letting the kids sleep in a bit today. They were both wiped out last night. We had to wait almost an hour for a bus because a bus broke down right at the entrance of the bus area at Magic Kingdom
Unacceptable. Did you talk to a supervisor?

My Lord. . .don't know about the rest of the country, but I swear it feels like it's about to snow here. . .the temp almost got down into the 50's.
When we landed in Pittsburgh last Saturday it was 52* F and rainy. What a welcome back to reality!

Got y’all beat in the category of screwed up handedness.
I’m a lefty and use that hand for all things that require precision, but I use the right hand for all things that require brute force.

So for things like pen, knives, razors… for those I use the left hand
But implements like hammers, wrenches, most sporting gear… those are done right handed.
Then there are the oddball things where I’ll switch back and forth like say… paint brushes, screwdrivers or pool cues.

Married a lefty as well. She can’t do anything with her right hand to save her life.
Our boy, however, is completely right handed and is actually the oddball in the house.
I'm RH dominant, but I drink with my left hand. Always. When I sit down tot he table, first thing I do it move my glass\mug immediately to the left. I can also putt left handed and can shoot and control a hockey puck using my stick
in my left hand.

A bit of bummer news today, though not definite. Long story short I hope, DD had 3 knee surgeries tied to torn meniscus which ended her soccer playing days after Jr year of high school. First two were by one Dr and then third by the Titans (NFL) which seemed to clean up several things and she was better, but that was about 18 months ago. We had her checked out by him while she was home on fall break as the pain has been back for a bit now. Well after exam and MRI he wants us to have a consult with his partner that does meniscus transplants which has been a known possibility at some point for her. We don't know if she is a candidate for this surgery or if that is even what he ends up recommending but the MRI showed a significant reduced or re-tear of the meniscus so wanting to get another opinion is not a good sign. We are gonna wait until mid December when she is back home for the consultation so any positive thoughts between now and then appreciated and thanks for listening.

Know it sounds petty but we were gonna hit Aulani the end of next June so may have to wait past our 7 month DVC window to book based on whatever we find out in December.
Good luck. Hope everything works out for the best.

All my work is done for the day. Time to go home.

Cheques in the mail, let me know when you get it. :lmao:

I'm going there now to wait. Can you send it express mail?

A great picture to start the day.

Welcome back. It helped already having Spring Break booked, but still a couple more weeks to book fall break next year. 6 weeks? Where you looking to get?

Good morning Dads! almost at the half way point to Friday night / the weekend. Gonna get down into the 20's here the next couple of mornings which is ok by me as I love the fall weather.

It is cold out there. I'm ready to move to FL.

Hmmm... intriguing match up. Might just have to have an Indiana vs. Kentucky disdads game.
. !

Sounds like a good plan. I'll need a portable oxygen tank to wear if we are playing full court. I'll start training as soon as that tattoo check arrives in the mail.

‘Morning all…
Still packing and moving and packing and moving… Exhausting.
Just how did we get so much “tofu” stuffed into our house over the years?
:sad2:
. ;)

I hear ya. I'm hoping for a smooth transition of all the stuff to the garbage can. I tell the family that WDW is so fun because they don't have any of their stuff there. I don't think they are buying it.

Ryder is giving every indication that he is going to be left handed. Throws 80% of his food with this left hand and I've never seen him kick a ball with his right foot.
Which means I'm buying him all new sporting equipment because he won't be able to use Evan's old right handed golf clubs, right handed baseball gloves, right handed baseball bats, right handed soccer balls.... :headache:
!

Those right handed soccer balls are the worst. Get rid of em, quick.

With his signing bonus, I'm buying a house in Golden Oak. :thumbsup2

Great idea. Once you get there, the locals will smell your "cheese" , and property values will plummet. Then, I can move in upwind of you. :lmao:

Prayers for those in need; Praise for those deserving; Disney & Bacon for All!

Hey, David! You Know! :rotfl2:

It messed up that things always happen on a weekend when no one is around:confused3

Anyway Sat night I start to get sharp gum to jaw & ear pain, it's Sat night almost 11pm going to have to wait till Mon, after trying everykind of med we had nothing worked along with no sleep for 2 days:scared1:, so Mon comes along I call out from work and call the dentist who is not in that office on Mon, so the receptionist calls a oral surgeon for me, appt was for 5:30, so after the X-ray he comes in and tells me he can't figure out how I'm still standing 95% would have been in the ER already from the pain, turns out it was my only wisdom tooth left that was impacted against my jaw was abscessed big time, so bad my choices were to have it done right there and now with locals or go across the street to the Hospital and be knocked out. But I wasn't going no where until it was done:eek:
I said how much more could it hurt and took the locals (gas & novocain), now funny thing is I almost fell asleep while they were working on me I was feeling great once the ear pain stopped.

Everything turned out OK no jaw fracture, it will be sore a few more days, I go back to work tomorrow, Having high tolerance to pain has its pros and cons,
pro - made the procedure go quickly without complication:thumbsup2
con - within another day or two the infection would have been life threatening:sick

Was told this was a prime example of why you should get them out around the age of 16, so if you have dental coverage get it done, believe me it will hurt a lot more if they get a abscess ::yes::

Wow Ron, glad you got that thing checked out. My wisdom teeth are long gone. That doesn't sound like fun... :crazy2:

Full court it is! :thumbsup2

Hear that David? Work on the fast break offense and be ready to run. :rotfl2::lmao:

Yuck... Not fun at all. Glad they got it taken care of for you.

And you don't need to scare those of us who have never had issues with wisdom teeth and still have them... :rolleyes1

Jersey boyz is tuff, I guess. I had an impacted wisdom tough removed when i was 18. Just novacaine. turned out the roots had grown under the bone of the socket. Took an hour and eight shots before he was done. It was interesting to feel him scraping along the bone to make sure he got all the bits and pieces out.

Sorry your DD is struggling. Prayers that you guys will be wise in your decision-making.

Sorry to hear. Hopefully it isn't so bad, but if she's getting care from surgeons who take care of NFL players, I'd say she's in good hands.

I hope it all works out for the best. I would think that seeing a NFL team doctor would probably be a good thing when it comes to that type of injury.

Sorry to hear and may this get worked through soon.
Prayers for your DD and the family.
More prayers for the doctors that they get this right.

Good luck to her. Hopefully they will get something worked out for her and it will be the last surgery.

Good luck. Hope everything works out for the best.

Thank you guys, really appreciate yas. It has been so hard to watch her originally tear it, work her backside off to recover and get back to playing soccer only for it to tear again and repeat the whole thing. It was hard for her to give up the game and there were some "serious" debates in our house over her having to stop playing after the third surgery as she wanted no part of it. She almost would have been better off with an ACL tear and repair as the issue with the meniscus tear is that the area is just "cut away" as it is a cushion - basically cartridge.

There are a lot of challenges to any kind of transplant and we just have to wait until we have the consult and then go from there. It just sucks that at 19 she has to deal with this but as always she is tough as nails and handling it all in stride.

Thanks again

Good stuff and great to hear you are enjoying F&W and some firsts! Always great to build up some new favorites too.

Glad to hear you are still with us. I had my wisdom teeth out in 1995, the last time we actually had insurance that paid for dental care.
