A bit of bummer news today, though not definite. Long story short I hope, DD had 3 knee surgeries tied to torn meniscus which ended her soccer playing days after Jr year of high school. First two were by one Dr and then third by the Titans (NFL) which seemed to clean up several things and she was better, but that was about 18 months ago. We had her checked out by him while she was home on fall break as the pain has been back for a bit now. Well after exam and MRI he wants us to have a consult with his partner that does meniscus transplants which has been a known possibility at some point for her. We don't know if she is a candidate for this surgery or if that is even what he ends up recommending but the MRI showed a significant reduced or re-tear of the meniscus so wanting to get another opinion is not a good sign. We are gonna wait until mid December when she is back home for the consultation so any positive thoughts between now and then appreciated and thanks for listening.

Prayers going out for DD!

Morning guys. Today DW and I celebrate being married for 20 years. Say a prayer for that poor soul :rotfl2:

Congratulations! Hope you and the Mrs. have a great day.:cool1:

Morning, time to see how deep a hole I've dug with the new boss already.

Let's see.....You dropped all the beer in the warehouse. Then you called in because DD was sick. Then you had a day off. Sounds like a normal week to me.:lmao::lmao:

Good luck we're all counting on you!

Good morning Dads! almost at the half way point to Friday night / the weekend. Gonna get down into the 20's here the next couple of mornings which is ok by me as I love the fall weather.

Morning guys. Today DW and I celebrate being married for 20 years. Say a prayer for that poor soul :rotfl2:
Congratulations on a great accomplishment these days and all the best for 20 more!

Let us know if you need any of us to speak on your behalf, though that might get you all the way to China with that hole :) Good luck
With his signing bonus, I'm buying a house in Golden Oak. :thumbsup2
+1 :thumbsup2

Happy Anniversary David!:thumbsup2

Ryder is giving every indication that he is going to be left handed. Throws 80% of his food with this left hand and I've never seen him kick a ball with his right foot.
Which means I'm buying him all new sporting equipment because he won't be able to use Evan's old right handed golf clubs, right handed baseball gloves, right handed baseball bats, right handed soccer balls.... :headache:

Have you seen what left handed pitchers are making these days????? Call it an investment :thumbsup2

With his signing bonus you could convert the turbo van to a hover van :thumbsup2 Imagine getting to WDW in under 2 hours :cool1: in your own vehicle.

Exactly. That's a retirement plan right there.

Good Mornings Guys!!!!!

Is it just me or is that wheel kinda high out of the water to be of any use????

I could dunk, but I don't want to hurt my back :lmao:
Are we talking about an 8' goal and a youth basketball? :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

As a basketball player. . .I'm a hockey player.

Know it sounds petty but we were gonna hit Aulani the end of next June so may have to wait past our 7 month DVC window to book based on whatever we find out in December.
Sorry to hear. Hopefully it isn't so bad, but if she's getting care from surgeons who take care of NFL players, I'd say she's in good hands.

I have a great post game and totally dominate in the paint. Did I mention i'm coaching dd & her 9-10 year old basketball team. :lmao:

I was thin enough to dunk a basketball in college, without dribbling and no one playing defense.
Hmmm... intriguing match up. Might just have to have an Indiana vs. Kentucky disdads game.

I can hold my own defensively in the paint. I regularly play against a guy who is 5 years younger than me, 4 inches taller than me, was an Indiana All Star and played D2 ball. And I've been known to block his shots.

On the other end of the floor... I don't do much against him either, but I can neutralize him so I'll take it. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Congrats!

I hope it all works out for the best. I would think that seeing a NFL team doctor would probably be a good thing when it comes to that type of injury.

Alas, I was going to PM you, the MIL is coming down that day to visit, so it's a no-go. Besides, it looks like Boo at the Zoo isn't happening this year, they replaced it with some fall thing a couple of weeks ago. :sad2: Will have to try in the new year, unless I can scrape up the membership fees early, they expire this month. Should be a discount with the elephants gone if you ask me.

No worries...

If you do decide to renew let me know... :thumbsup2

‘Morning all…
Still packing and moving and packing and moving… Exhausting.
Just how did we get so much “tofu” stuffed into our house over the years?
:sad2:

Sorry to hear and may this get worked through soon.
Prayers for your DD and the family.
More prayers for the doctors that they get this right.

Musta missed this... Sounds like you are moving. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

It’s a necessary thing (but also good in the long run). We are “downsizing” which was our general intention as we started reaching retirement age anyway. Retirement has become a virtual impossibility but now the focus has shifted toward keeping up with college tuition and dealing with the fact that we’ve been losing ground income wise for nearly eight years now (and with no signs of that changing any time soon :headache:).

Morning guys. Today DW and I celebrate being married for 20 years. Say a prayer for that poor soul :rotfl2:

Congrats to y’all. Having made it this far says much about the both of you.

But… just which of the two soles involved is “the poor one”? :rolleyes1:

A few random numbers may have crossed my desk. :scratchin:
With his signing bonus, I'm buying a house in Golden Oak. :thumbsup2

Orrrrr…
He might end up being more artistic and choose to join the ranks of starving artists.
You may need a backup plan here. ;)

Good luck to her. Hopefully they will get something worked out for her and it will be the last surgery.

Last time I was there, I believe you ran into my wife and kids in the lobby... while I was grabbing things from the room.
GEEZ. I hope he said sorry. :headache::headache:

Hopefully it was a deep hole. Then you can push the boss into it. :thumbsup2

Darcy's buying. Me and my two dds will play you and your team of 6. Bring on the backyard battle.

But i already told David you were buying. Too late now.

Cheques in the mail, let me know when you get it. :lmao:

Happy Anniversary!

Keep the clubs and the soccer ball. Declan is a lefty but uses both of those.
