You've set the bar so high in the past. It's good to see you aiming to maintain those standards.

Captain_Oblivious. Lowering expectations since 1974.:thumbsup2

That's impressive. You have a future tour guide on your hands. I'm pretty sure I would be stumped on the areas of DHS. Get her up to date with the MagicBand+.

That's hard work. I'm not sure any of us understands the MagicBand+ thingy yet.

Funny how you added that one. We have the park music CDs from a few years ago and the kids are getting to the point of saying, still there, not there, now its <blank>. Love me some Disney trivia geeks. :lmao:

<ETA> Oh and the fact that 2/3 of my DDs can sing the Carousel of Progress songs and drive DW batty in the process is icing on the cake.

:rotfl2: Driving DW batty nevery gets old, does it?

Hard to say. Occasional pain. The real test will be if I ever start running regularly again. Right around the half-marathon was when I was at my worst and it really blunted my appetite for running.

Further proof that running is bad for you.

I just had a brilliant idea. I'm leaving work early on Friday to go see Man Of Steel followed by Star Trek. That's how to get Father's Day Weekend started off right! Summer blockbuster double-feature!

I told my wife if I'm getting a Blackhawks jersey for Father's Day, I'll need it by Wednesday. So far, no jersey and no indication that I'll get one. I had one in my college years and somehow lost it.

I can't wait to see Man of Steel. The trailers make it look amazing. I think I'm a sucker for the father/son material.

My wife starting researching iPads for Father's Day. After seeing the prices and hearing they were working on the next version of them, I think I'm back to getting golf balls. :rotfl:

As we are all zealots here in the DIS DAD circle, let me know if there are other things that I can challenge her with. I'm at the point where I am now delving into Commando strategies and philosophy ("To purchase the DDP or not, that is the question!") which is very difficult to explain to a 5 YO who doesn't start Kindergarten until this Fall.

I've spent so much time on these topics with her, that she knows a bit more than her 8 YO sister! I need to spread the wealth!

We do the Disney ABCs. If it just me and my two dds, then one of us names a WDW ride or attraction that starts with A, the next one names one with B, etc. Once we get to the end of the alphabet, we start again, rotating letters.

We got an Expandable travel trailer. It has hard sides with pop out beds. DW and DD'rs wanted a bathroom. More work for me but much less complaining about walking to use the facilities. :thumbsup2
Happy women and all.......

And you can be Randy outside in your bathrobe, emptying the bathroom.

I started a 5K training program. Started off using a couch 25k one, then found one called Zombies, run! Pretty cool story line and has cool stats to show your progress. It's def motivated me. I have about 7 runs in so far.
The programs are both supposed to be 8 week programs (running 3x a week) but I am trying to run about 5x a week. I am trying to regulate myself else I might disqualify my member ship in Team Sparrow. So I need to make sure that I am incorporating rum into the training program.

Oh, feel free to run. You can maintain your membership on Team Sparrow. We'll drink enough for you.

Hate to hear that you are still having problems.

.

That sounds like a great way to start the weekend. I want to see both of those movies, but I doubt I will get them in a double feature.

I know that feeling. This is supposed to be a "short" course for a US Open, but it included 2 par 3's I couldn't reach with my driver.
?

Sure you could. If I could figure out my when my hook or slice will occur, I could make it on the pro tour.

He gets confused easily.
.

That's most everyone on here.

I have that same sense of humor. On a meeting with a gentleman names, Yadang Dong. It became a challenge to see who could say his name the most on a call.:rotfl:

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: just can't resist.

Just need to vent...

Kind of pisses me off when multiple people have to review an invoice before it is paid and the first 3 agree that is correct and sign off on it, only to have the 4th person to look at it before it was paid change the frickin' thing without asking anyone else to review it... even though she was the one using the wrong rate!!! :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:
:

Smells like management - need multiple layers, making two or three times as much money, and have meetings and do stupid stuff to justify their jobs and pay.

Well, if it's any consolation, I haven't run much since January either. When I get back from my trip I need to kick it in to gear.

I ran to the liquor store. Well, I actually drove to the liquor store and then the grocery store for some Krispy Kremes. They aren't off the assembly line, but still good. I just need to get in good enough shape to survive a day at WDW.

Hi guys! Presentations are over. Tonight is our sales dinner so I'm looking forward to that. Question of the day: what will make your territory grow?? Me: um, more sales.

We are not in high school. I've been doing this a long time. So, who needs gaskets, adhesives, etc???? LOL

I forgot to mention we have gripping material that can be used on bats, golf clubs and tools. The wetter it gets the more improved your grip is. If anyone wants some samples to play with let me know. Seriously, I have sample rolls if this stuff.

The key is to not tell the people that might object (DW, boss, kids).

I thought that I would mention a little perk that I have in this new job. I have been doing videos for the company, we are posting them so that our customers can see our product. They are water related so I pitched getting a water proof video camera to assist in my videos. They totally agreed and now I get to test it on my trip, so that I can "become familiar with how it works". :woohoo:It is a popular, small, well rounded camera that I would never be able to afford myself. I am hoping to have a lot of fun with it on our trip.
Side note, the videos are doing fairly well as far as views, so they are happy about that.

I didn't see the advertisement for the camera that I mentioned until after I tried not to mention the brand.:lmao: It is a GoPro Hero 3 Black. Very cool so far.:cool2:

I'd like to have some, David. Can you tell me how to wrap it around life?

How do I get a sample? The grips on my golf clubs are brutal in the rain or when I am sweating.

Sorry. Some call me Mick. :)

I thought I told you all my name, but I guess I did not.

My real name is Robert Michael Colosimo, so that's where I get my RMColosimo nickname from. And Mick is my in life nickname, since my father was also a Robert and he did not want to call me Jr, or some such variation on that.

So just call me Mick. :)

:wave2: Mick...

Good Morning Guys!

Got an email from SW this morning that they are running a new sale. Need to book by Thursday. It was based on the distance of your flights. Rebooked our flights for the August trip again, same flights, and saved another $108.:cool1::cool1::cool1: That gets the cost of our flights to under $200 each round trip. This is about what we paid to go about 4 years ago. Back to the future! Of course I used points to book so I get my points back and not actually $$, but every little bit helps, especially since I am hoping for a good bounce back deal when we are there. I may be able to convince the supreme ruler that we have the extra points towards flights and the discount to make it a no brainer. Take a look and see if you can save some $$.

More money for Dole Whips, and souvenirs... :teacher:

:thumbsup2

About 4 months until our next trip. Along with the planning comes anothe proud DIS Dad moment. My 5 YO DD perpetually asks me, "Can we do Disney trivia?" which means I ask her various questions about the Parks, attractions, restaurants, etc. Things that she can tell me...
  • The difference between quick service, table service and snack
  • The names of the 4 Parks and their key land marks.
  • MOST of the names of the lands. She can routinely name at least 6 areas of DHS...3 or 4 areas of AK....both areas of EPCOT and all the lands in MK
  • She knows, minimally, every ride that I name, the Park it resides, and in some cases, WHERE in the Park.
  • She knows where a variety of restaurants and their resorts. And if they are table or quick service.
  • She knows the year WDW opened and the order in which the Parks were built.
  • She knows all the stops of the monorail.

You are doing a great job sir... :thumbsup2

We like to play a guessing game, where we think of a ride, restaurant or character, and we have to guess it.

Evening, Gents. How goes it? In the final stages of our move, so I've been going nuts packing and such. Just a quick stop by to say Hi.

What up Homies?:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I just booked SSR for 15-22 November. First time we've been that late, so we'll see how it goes.

Otherwise, life is good:goodvibes
