any who, she worked in the hub again today. more class computer work. has a quiz tomorrow on what she has learned to date. it was her first park opening.
got to work an hour early for some reason so she had breakfast in the caf. in the ultilador. she said they have good food.
she said she was told the first month is the ruffest. also told me they got fresh meat today!!!! movin up another rung on the corp. ladder.
I asked her if any dads stopped to see her yet?
she still hasn't bought anything yet from company D. she waiting for me so I can pay for it. she knows I have no will power to say no when it comes to Disney stuff.

Those are things I don't think about, but I know everywhere has a training program, so shouldn't be surprised. The first month is the roughest? Is that because it takes time to get used to the work schedule? I never had a roommate, other than DW, but i guess if you never see them, it makes it easy to get along. When I went to college, I lived in a 1 BR apartment off campus, 1 window AC unit only, for $235 a month. It was the first time i lived away from my parents and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. It may be more difficult for us to find her vs Stewart. Can we text you when we are entering MK for a status update on her location, or just search for her? While we don't know his schedule, he is always in the same place. So, if the two of you are together, can she pick out something, get her cm discount, and then have you pay for it? If so, when you are going, can I text you my "purchase order" for use with her discount?

its funny, do you know when your on vacation at Disney, you have to really think what day it is. you loose track of what day it is. same for briana. she said she don't have weeks she has days. 3 days on, 1 day off. theres no 9 to 5 jobs. she met 6 of her 10 managers , yes 10 managers, on memorial day during a training class. 24-7, 365 days a year.

True. I have everything in my phone about ADRs, otherwise, I would have no idea what time or day it is. That is the way it should be on vacation. 10 managers? That sounds like government work. I hope they all work instead of just having meetings all day. Sorry for all the questions Dave. I just think it is co cool that she is working in the MK.

$304. it covers your rent till you start getting a pay check. you don't get a check till you are there all most 3 weeks.
pending on where you live, how many people you live with is how your room and board is figured.
vista waaaaya is the cheapest. you live in a three bedroom apartment with five other people is the cheapest.
briana, lives in a one bedroom with one other girl and not in vista waaaaaya.
DADS PAYIN!!!! you think my little princess would live with five other people? come on david, heaven for bid we save the old man a buck or two.
people are always taking jabs at Disney for taking rent out of the kids pay but, for example , for $100.00 per week it covers your room, all utilities including cable and internet plus your transportation.apartment is fully furnished including kitchen stuff, bowl, silverwear etc... that's for a one bedroom in chatham or Patterson. live with five other people in vista waaaaaya and I think its about $85. per week.
I think its a good deal. the places are real nice. pools, gyms etc.... we all know about the security. im willing to bet your safer there then at most colleges.
you also sign allllll kinds of papers. when your done signing papers, you sign some more papers. lol she lives in a non alcohol building. she is only 20 so she has to but even if she was 21, she would still live in a dry building. if you are caught with drugs, firearms, under age drinking or supplying to a minor, you are turned over to the county sheriff department, charged and no longer allowed on property.
if I want to visit her in the apartment complex, I have to fill out a paper, leave my drivers lic. I have to be out by 1am. quiet hour is between 1 and 7am. if I don't come out by 1am, they will come get you. lol no over night guest!!!

Sounds like a pretty good deal but the convent for DD still looks a little more secure.

Thanks for the updates and for sharing. Been reading all of them with DS and enjoying the insights and the program is like. Really appreciate it and again we will be there Friday 6/7 are you sure she will be ok with us saying hi from a DISdad if we see her and do you want a pic of her at work if we do find her? DS said we don't want her thinking we are "creepers".

Heads up - WDW ticket prices go up tomorrow. Most interesting changes come to the 1-day ticket. They've introduced variable pricing, based on theme park. A 1-day ticket to the Magic Kingdom costs $5 more than a 1-day admission to any other theme park.

DW and oldest dd are doing dance dress rehearsals currently. Youngest dd has four performances and has to help with the younger kid show tomorrow. earlier in the year, DW was voted in as president-elect of city dance board of directors. No pay and not much perks, other than free tickets to some performances. So, this year, some of the board members, including her, agreed to do a kick-off dance for the private ticketed fundraising party tonight. I think it's a silent auction, but no way I can match what these people can bid on anything. But, we get free tickets, so I get to have a date with the president tonight. I spent this morning cleaning the house as best I could. I could get used to this stay at home dad stuff, but I know I worked harder this morning than I usually do all week.

well, here release date is jan. 3rd 2014. at that point she can walk away on good terms and apply for another role anytime in her life with a work history.or just a cool story to tell her grand kids.

she can extend. she would apply in September, she could try to get another role if she wanted. they have 4 programs:
fall program = aug. to jan.
fall advantage = may to jan.
spring = jan to may
spring advantage jan to aug.

(Im not sure of the spring programs start dates but I think im close.)

if she extends, she could get either spring or spring advantage.
one of the cast member guides we had when she checked in said she worked with a girl who did the program 7 times.

theres a lot of training the first month. safe D and role. its just not shoveling pop corn which I thought. she also is being cross trained.
I know her hours she works on what day. she finds out when she gets to work where she works and the phone don't work to good in the utilidors. she also turns her phone off when she hits the utilidor entrance.
yes, I can buy stuff in company D. are you kidding, Disney turn down money? from what I gather its mostly cast member stuff.
10 managers that rotate. didn't get much info on them other then the managers she has met have been very nice.
we got her blue card in the mail today!!! the blue card is the perks for her family and friends. I ask her if I should mail it to her but she said wont need it till we come down in two weeks.

before you ask, the blue card don't do you any good unless presented with a valid company id with the same name on the blue card.lol

The variable pricing only applies to 1-day tickets. For multi-day tickets, pricing is standardized.

Listening to the worst auctioneer ever, but it is fun watching these rich people move to the line at the bar, line for snack table, line for silent auction, line for buffet, etc. I use my Disney powers and go to the smaller line and have no problems. These other fools just stand around.

Was watching Youtube clips of the Muppet Show tonight, and came to the Star Wars/Muppets ep. What caught my eye was the 4 minute mark. How eerily prophetic it turned out to be.
