Just got my park tickets from UT today. (originally planned to use old non-expiring, but got permission from the better half to buy new ones and hold the others for a potential October long weekend.:cool1::cool1:) Room reservation made and everything done for the August trip except rental car. Has anyone seen the price of rental cars?:faint: I'll try to post a schedule soon once we finalize the couple of park days left.:thumbsup2

DS got his mid-trimester grades and all A's. I'm on a roll today. I'm thinking of playing the lottery.:thumbsup2

Nothing to worry about at all. If you stay on I-95, you won’t even see the race traffic.

Charlotte is at the junction of I-85 & I-77.
You’d have to go better then a 100 miles out of your way to even get close.

:drive:
I come down i81, i77 , i26 , i95.
Them's fightin' words Nemus...Nemas...Nimis.....:mad::rotfl2:

DOGGONE IT YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE

So that's out of the way....

The big Race in Charlotte is Memorial Day weekend.
:lmao:
first, I live in Nazareth, the busch series held a "race" here every year at the local track. we also had cart races ( indy cars). once a year, thousands of rusted, Plymouth volare station wagons would come to town. (this is in 1990s)
the joke was, what was 5 miles long, thousands of legs and three teeth? the traffic jam for the busch race!!!!!! :lmao: I also live 20 min. from the Pocono race track....... twice a year this goes on!!! :lmao::lmao:
not a container of chew to be found for miles!!!!! :lmao:

It was on the radio that there was some kind of race in char. on sat. night so I looked it up on there web site. sure enough, yeeeeee haaaaaaaaaw racin is in town!!!! :rolleyes2

82 ford pick ups as far as the eye can see. :lmao:

oh, I forgot to tell you. think of me Monday morning around 7am, I will be driving through the gate at VISTA WAAAAYYYYYYA!!! :lmao:

that's where they all meet to get started.

That’s the way we traveled up to NYC back in 2011, it will certainly keep you from having to deal with the madness of the DC area.

Again, the show won’t be until next week. There is a minor race going on tomorrow, but all that traffic will be on up I-85 and you shouldn’t see any real delays. You will however be in my neck of the woods around lunchtime. Make sure to hit the horn about a mile or two after you cross into SC… I’m pretty sure I’ll hear it

Andy glad your DS was able to bounce back from the finger injury. You have a farmer in training there.

STRIKE AVERTED !!!!!

wonder if I should call in sick tomorrow? :lmao:

Glad the strike was avoided. Sucks that you and others had to go through all that stress.

When are you going? Congrats to DS. He obviously takes after his mother.

So...any of you DVC members have about 50 points I can rent? :confused3

Sorry Nate. No points left this year and in June I only get about 50 released.

here is what the kids are looking at the first week of the program.

http://micechat.com/11988-disney-college-program-2/

Interesting orientation. Wish her luck. Have a safe trip down and maybe we can meet up at the World.

Headed to the Keys yesterday with the DD. Had a nice lunch. The kid that dared to asked my daughter to the prom is in the Air Force Reserves stationed in Homestead (yea Norm, he is still hanging around). He decided to come down when he got off duty. He didn't go home first so he was still in his BDU's.

Since he was picking her up and I got a great rate at the hotel I decided to stay the night. Nice break. The Princess wanted to go to dinner so they went to Sundowners. If you are in Key Largo, it is a nice place on the Gulf side. Reasonably priced but not cheap.

They enjoyed dinner and when they asked for the check, the waitress let them know that another patron anonymously picked up their tab. Very nice gesture and the kids were flabbergasted.

So here is a shout out to someone that will never hear it but it meant a lot to them. I told her she needs to remember that and when she can do that for someone in the future, to pay it forward.

All in all a good day yesterday.

That would most certainly be close to where I’m sitting at the moment. If you figure you’ll be there around noon-ish I could most likely get up there long enough the say howdy. I’ll send you a cell number in a bit.

:lmao:
I’ll pass that suggestion along…

Rob, has he picked out a school yet?

He starts this fall at Western Carolina University up in the Smokys near Ashville NC, studying Music Performance and Music Education. It’s one of the best arts and performance schools in the region (and close enough to home that his momma would allow it).

Very cool and mightily kind of someone.
We should all take time to do such things from time to time.
