Headed to the Keys yesterday with the DD. Had a nice lunch. The kid that dared to asked my daughter to the prom is in the Air Force Reserves stationed in Homestead (yea Norm, he is still hanging around). He decided to come down when he got off duty. He didn't go home first so he was still in his BDU's..

Just got my park tickets from UT today. (originally planned to use old non-expiring, but got permission from the better half to buy new ones and hold the others for a potential October long weekend.) Room reservation made and everything done for the August trip except rental car. Has anyone seen the price of rental cars? I'll try to post a schedule soon once we finalize the couple of park days left.

DS got his mid-trimester grades and all A's. I'm on a roll today. I'm thinking of playing the lottery.

Everything looks like its coming along nicely. I put in for some Sunday shifts (overtime) to finish paying things off. Not much more planning to do now for us, just getting the $$ together and get any incidentals we need. I want to get and break in another pair of shoes, but otherwise a lot of it is the waiting game.

Headed to the Keys yesterday with the DD. Had a nice lunch. The kid that dared to asked my daughter to the prom is in the Air Force Reserves stationed in Homestead (yea Norm, he is still hanging around). He decided to come down when he got off duty. He didn't go home first so he was still in his BDU's.

Since he was picking her up and I got a great rate at the hotel I decided to stay the night. Nice break. The Princess wanted to go to dinner so they went to Sundowners. If you are in Key Largo, it is a nice place on the Gulf side. Reasonably priced but not cheap.

They enjoyed dinner and when they asked for the check, the waitress let them know that another patron anonymously picked up their tab. Very nice gesture and the kids were flabbergasted.

So here is a shout out to someone that will never hear it but it meant a lot to them. I told her she needs to remember that and when she can do that for someone in the future, to pay it forward.

All in all a good day yesterday.

Very very nice.

Oh he looked alright. His DW was obviously paying too close attention to the FIL so he got off free.

I took DW out to lunch today. Just to keep the weirdness going, she tells me that FIL called her this AM and said that he wants to have a retirement party in 2015. She said he plans to retire earlier that year, and to celebrate, he wants to have his two children, their spouses, and his grandchildren all go on vacation together. The conditions - it has to be within 1 day driving's distance, everyone has to agree, and no fighting among anyone.

The good news is that he is paying.
The bad news is that it is with the mooching BIL.
The better news is that BIL and I just do not speak at any family functions, so we get along great.

So, we are probably looking at July of 2015. The other good thing going is FIL does not like the ocean. Obviously, I suggested WDW. I think BIL would be ok with Disney, but his even more evil wife will probably say no to Disney, just because she knows that is where I want to go. So, hopefully I can get them to go to Universal, and then I can add a few more days to WDW at the end of that trip.

Can't wait to hear about My youngest's field trip to the Rattray Marsh today. She was telling us all about how if she's really quiet, she'll see animals like frogs, deer, bears, alligators, etc rofl: Quite the biodiversity for a Canadian urban nature spot!

that would be the place I would have picked for myself at 20 years old. shes a good kid. she has been wanting to do this for a long time and I don't think she will do anything to blow it.she takes her work seriously. this is also a credit for college. its a course and I had to pay $350. to the college for her to take it. it goes on her college record. theres a packet of papers that her direct supervisor at Disney has to fill out and be sent back to the school after she is done. (if she comes back ) not to mention, she is going to be there the most busiest time of year, summer, Halloween and Christmas. im sure she will be working a lot. the kid had three jobs here at home. (not because she had to) she worked at Panera bread, teach tap and also coach the ironettes dance team plus went to school. she is a worker.

Evening....have seen no details yet on the tenative contract..be nice to know the details. I heard we lost nothing, BUT also heard that the Full Time staff get NOTHING out of it, everything for the part timers But cannot believe what I hear till I see it in front of me.

Work was very slow, but we were busy cleaning up, got the store as good as we could, so it was pretty satisfying

Here is a dumb question...has Disney basicly given up on the Limited Time Magic? Nothing new this week or next, just coasting to the 24h day? Lame...

Hey guys. Made it to Chattanooga tonight. Gave a honk and a wave to David, Stopher & Andy around Indy. Also did the same for Norm around Louisville.

Gonna hit the sack. Early rise tomorrow to get to The World at a reasonable hour.
