Only if you're not on strike.

I might have a stash already.... Heh

Ready to kill a couple of people here at work. Everyday all "so, are you ready to walk?" These people work like they've been in strike for the past year or so. Bet you they will sit at home and wait for it to be resolved, rather the picket or anything.

If you get rid of enough, the Corp. may have enough money to meet your pay demands. ;)

So do I. The rum is never gone at my house. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

I'd have a hard time with that concept if I were in that position. I'm not getting paid, so why would I want to drag my @$$ out of bed to go stand outside work?

I'm not a fan of it, to be sure, but I'll get a small amount of strike pay to do it, gotta bring money in somehow, got to pay bills still. There are those who want better pay/benefits/job security, but as long someone else fights for it, not them themselves.

For the record, I just want to work and go home to family.

A stash you say?

There's always a group that think the other option is always a better option. Still hoping it doesn't get to that point. Prayers. Stay strong and know Team Sparrow will procure plenty of rum for you should it be needed.

And get more work done, I'm sure.:thumbsup2

I wish....

I just want job security. I am fine with my pay to be honest. An extra week of vacation would be nice to avoid physical burnout. And I don't want my benefits slashed not with all the meds we require etc. I'd be very happy with that.

I didn't even think about that side of it. I guess a little bit of pay from the union is better than nothing. :confused3

I definitely agree with that last statement.

Are they talking about slashing health benefits? That is the biggest issue around here, but that's mostly because our health care system is beyond crazy expensive.

I would think pay and vacation issues would be pretty easy to resolve. Pensions and benefits are really the tricky part.

Again, continued good luck it gets resolved.

:thumbsup2+1

And I love what I'm seeing in the Pittsburgh/ NYI series.

How about Ottowa up on the Canadiens? Now no one guessed that one. Can't say I would be sorry to see Ottowa win. Hate that bunch of floppers. All they do is instigate until they can fake a penalty. Oh! and it makes it easier for the Bruins. Ya, I could deal with no Pittsburgh too. Not sure NYI has the horses to finish them off.

I just saw an article on Yahoo saying that Carrie Underwood will be replacing Faith Hill on the opening song for Sunday Night Football this year.

I've gotta say, I'm a little bit disappointed.

Ummm.......Yup......Unfortunate.:sad2:

When I think about my Beverly of a day I could get really :furious:, but then I remember this too shall pass.

For those of you on Team Sparrow that have a stash of rum, feel free to have one on my behalf though.

To be fair, I hear a lot of things, IMO the union are as big at the BS propaganda as the government is. I wish I really knew how things are. Wage freeze was brought up, and that has people's arms in the air, since cost of living and taxes keep getting higher.

You mentioned workplace drama earlier..that really sucks... Hope things improve or at least karma kicks in

Business Insider has an article on the web today that Iger is hinting about a Star Wars theme park. I assume that means a world inside an existing park.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/disney-ceo-bob-iger-hints-142800629.html

Not sure if the link will work, but it was an interesting read. Not really any substance, but we can all wish right?

If the new movies make a killing (which they almost surely will) I'm sure that would follow... I'd guess the same as you, a new world in an existing park...

I think disney has enough big properties on their hands to do a couple of big lands like this. Pixarland or Star Wars land.

I could only get to the first page of the earnings transcript but from on that page Iger said that the were looking for Star Wars Opportunities in the Parks. I'm not sure if he went into more detail later in the call.

I think that's what most of us want. It's kind of sad really. Many in our generation don't expect raises and bonuses. We'd really just like for things to not go backwards.
