I heard that with all of the rain we have received that it has brought our water table back to its normal level after the drought last year. I think Andy could verify this, but I'm pretty sure we started last year with A LOT of rain

Lots of good things today, I hope it's a trend

I had the 6:50 BoG. Not my ideal time, but I'll take it. Hope the strike holds off and it is good to see so Team Sparrow well represented in the Top 30 posts.

Hopefully too....got just over a week to stress though...

Not minding the BOG being at 7:15, it was originally a non-park day, but took where I could get it. We'll head to MK that day, but not till the late afternoon, just chill at the pool till then. We're used to eating at that time due to DW's and my work scheduals.

Just thought I'd pop in quick. I'm starting to pick up more shifts at work. I'll be going from 16 to 32 hours a week. So, I'll be on very sporadically. But it'll help pay for Disney among other stuff.

Well our river didn’t get too far out of its banks so flooding was relatively light.
Of the news coming out of SC today… that’s the bit that’s actually good.

It's doing well, I asked my PT if he thought there would be a problem with me doing the half in January and he didn't think so.

That will be a nice thing with the my magic +. Walk to one ride and pull up the other ride and get the FPs. I'm sure it will lock you out of getting other FPs, like the current system does, but at least it isn't walking completely across the parks for rides like TT & Soarin or the Splash and Space Mountains at MK.

yeah I really like the idea of being able to use the app to get your next FP. My days as a fastpass runner may be limited, which is awesome, means I'll get to spend more time with my family.

Have they even made any kind of official announcement yet that you will actually be able to get more than your 3 or 4 pre-arranged FP's per park with the magic + yet?

I'm still worried about losing that little bit of flexibility.

Well, you're farther north and west, so that is probably accurate. We're still watching a lot of the rain go to our north, kind of like last year. Not quite so bad though. When there's 2 - 4" north of Indy, we've seen maybe .5 - 1". We're probably close to a normal water table now. I know the drainage tiles are running again, so that is a good sign.

As far as last year... well, we actually started with plenty of moisture from the winter months, but not much spring rain. By mid-March, the top soil was dry enough to get in the fields and we were done planting by April 27. We got a few rain showers, but then mid to late May, it pretty much turned off for the summer. We didn't even get to start planting this year until May 1, so the one good thing I can say is at least this year is different.

I am not a fan of this new app or the RFID, IMO it takes away all the fun of getting the FP's, I feel that Once again yet more jobs will be cut , and the lazy are being catered too, Remember how the people in the movie Wall-E were, we are on our way to being the same way

The RFID I'm not terribly concerned about, as the possibilities that come with using it are quite impressive. The App... I'm with ya. I'm worried they will plan it out poorly, and severely underestimate the demands on their system and future frustration of guests.
