Spent the morning and early afternoon doing yard work and finishing up the electrical on my new shed.

Sounds like a productive day. I never did make it to cut the grass.

Thanks.

Glad to hear your DW and DD had a great trip.

Good luck at soccer.

Thanks. It as a good game. DD only had one shot on goal (missed), but displayed some excellent ball skills as usual. I think I need to get back into shape so that I can work with her on her speed.

“It’s a fine goal to be sure…”
No really! That’s a fine goal. I suspect you’ll get ther long before I even get back on a DCL ship. I’d like to be a DVC member myself. Just could never pull it off. The current plan it to hit WDW one last time this summer, and then the next four to ten years will be spent paying for college. After that… If I ain’t dead… maybe we can consider working on the DVC thing together with our sun so that just maybe one day I can treat my grandkids to proper amounts of Disney magic. At least that the current “general” plan..

That sounds like a better plan. I spent their college fund on DVC. It can be addicting, they call it add-on-itis. I have been tempted to downsize some of my contracts. With the transmission problem, it may be time to sell off one of the contracts.

Wife, kids, and MiL are heading to Science City soon. I'm still trying to decide whether I get to go or whether I'm stuck trying to get the tech issues at the other other site resolved.

I hope you went with them. Family time is way more important.

The following conversation happen at lunch today.

Me: What could be better than Bacon?

DGD1: More Bacon!!!

Excellent.

we call this guy the "honeyman" :lmao:

He's already been there. The guy I'm talking about now is a guy who goes to our church and owns a mini excavator. Gonna have to do some digging and put in a finger system. Dad and I could do that with the backhoe, but I'd rather have someone who knows what they're doing put it in. He's put them in before, we haven't.

That, and dad and I are really good at tearing things up (tree stumps, old barns, etc.) with the backhoe. The idea of using it for construction rather than destruction is a bit of a foreign concept to me...

DGD1: Grandpa? Is there anything better than Bacon?

Me: No dear, there is not!

DGD1: Your wrong Grandpa!

I don't recall you mentioning that your DGD was a GENIUS... :cool2:

Had family here tonight. Unfortunately, that means that I missed the live show entirely. Can't wait to pick it up in a few days. I hope that you guys had fun!

Amazing day at the World yesterday. Ds6 did ToT for the first time, Dd9 did Everest and Rockin Roller Coaster for the first time, and the entire family did Star Tours 3 times in a row. Ended the night at Fantasmic. Now on the shuttle to the Dream.

Sounds like a perfect day!!!!

Late Sunday morning ownage. Religious Ed, cut grass, and youngest dd soccer game on schedule for today. Let's see if I can get motivated enough to do all 3. We have 30 MPH wind gusts, so that might be an excuse I can use later if needed.

Happy Birthday, John.

Excellent day. I hope you got the Darth Vader scene at Star Tours. That has been my favorite of them thus far. My dds liked the RNRC, but not EE. I guess it is the difference between the smooth vs rough wooden coaster. I liked both coasters, but we don't get to AK park that often. Enjoy the cruise.

Morning....long day yesterday, got all the running around done, and ended up at my parents for a bit longer then planned, ended up staying for the Leafs-Habs game and a lot of laughs :thumbsup2(Lots of laughs at Corey Price's expense too :rotfl2:)

Got home late and got the new cable box installed, quite a hassle though, took a while to set things right. Stilll having some issues that need a tech in to check things out, signal issues mainly, still no on-demand and some guide issues, but a newer and upgraded box, better DVR storage, we had been meaning to upgrade for a while now.

Today will be very low key, lots of chores around the apartment today..

We only got about an inch here and it is still mild so I don't expect it to last very long.

Instead of soccer DS and I will do some shopping today. He needs new sneakers again, the pair we bought at the end of November are now too small. I think there is another growth spurt going on. For me, stopping at a golf liquidation sale.

Funny, Dad thinks my golf game should be liquidated. :confused3

Just wanted to point out my new signature.

:goodvibes

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Well, despite the high profile lawnmower, I made it thru the wind gusts. :lmao: Both dds are home from religious ed. Now, just need to take youngest to soccer.

Those first time big rides are awesome! Glad you have had a good time. Enjoy the Dream! I hope the rain clears up soon.
