DIS Dads DDC XXVII: Penguins in Paradise!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.

Andy was talking about Fantasy Baseball. Currently, I am piling up the tofu in that league.

So not only do I have to endure a horrible team but now you are planning to arrange a momento for me. Gee, thanks.

I'm pretty sure tofu & Beverly was described by Dante as the 5th Circle of Hell.

I'm pretty sure even Satan doesn't like tofu :lmao:

Even he can't cook it thoroughly enough to make it palatable.

I do believe we’ve a consensus on what exactly is the opposite of bacon.
:lmao:

And a potential new bit of DDC approved profanity.
:rotfl2:

Awwwwww... TOFU!!!
:rotfl:

Hey guys, my son is turning 11 while we are at WDW so we are letting him pick a place for lunch. TS or CS. Right now he is thinking about Le Cellier, Teppan Edo, or Corral Reef. What other restaurants should we be looking at?

So, he likes steak, Japanese ( steak or show), and seafood? Or, just watching the fish? Those are three good places. There is ESPN Club - if he's into sports - which you can access the Epcot International Gateway and get back inside. If it is for the show, then there are the luau dancers over at the Poly Spirit of Aloha dinner - if he's into that yet?

They really don't amount to anything. Just something fun from week to week.

High Score = Dole Whip
Low Score = Beverly

Largest Margin of Victory = Bacon
Largest Margin of Defeat = Tofu

But I've got to admit, I did feel sorry for Justin as I was assigning awards for the first 3 weeks. :rolleyes1

What? Someone did worse than me? I haven't been over to check out the trophies yet.

How footing that SD drafts Mant'i. I hope he does well following in the footsteps of possibly the greatest MLB ever! RIP Junior

Biergarten is fun if you go during a show time. Randall, Carl, Scott and I had a blast there, and we all basically act like we're 11... ;)

Looks like some good choices already. :thumbsup2

My kids loved T-Rex too...

And so it shall be.

Mr. Chairman I move that a new DAD LAW be created today. Let it be known that when life has delivered to you the ultimate in defeat on that given day you shall proclaim that you have had .....TOFU.....

I might get a chance to see how the characters at WDW feel:confused3, we are doing a customer appreciation day and have some food related mascots lined up such as Chester Cheetah, Pillsbury Dough Boy, Oreo Cookie & The Trix Rabbit, Question is what one do you think I would do best as:confused3, If I say I want to be one I don't think I would have much trouble getting the one I choose since the boss knows I'm a Disney nut :lmao: This could be my shot to see if I'm cut out out to do something like this:cool1:

So who should I volunteer to do:confused3

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll have him look at these in our passporter so he can think about it some more. Wispering Canyon was suggested on the other board too.

Oreo and Pillsbury Dough boy both sound like costumes that'd be harder to maneuver in so I'd go with one of the other ones.

3 of you I am sure had to act... Scott on the other hand, that's just how he is.... :rotfl2:

Scott wasn't the one with dancing penguins! ;)

Seconded and Page One has been updated! :thumbsup2

That is a tough one. I don't like wearing sleeves or hats. The time I wore that wig for the MNSSHP was terrible. I can't imagine wearing a rabbit or cheetah head. Do the other costumes cover your head/face as well? I know that is a job I cannot do at WDW.

Avoid the Pillsbury doughboy, you'll get wiseacres trying to poke your stomach. Trix Rabbit or Chester Cheetah sounds like potential for good chacter antics

‘Morning all…

Saturday!
Time to get busy doing all the work you can’t do while you’re working.

Interesting…
If you're going to take on one of these personas, I’d go with the Cheetah.
Personality wise, the character is somewhere between a wise-a$$ and an outright jerk.

Give those expectations; you could get away with murder in that costume.

And given that clarified definition,
I’ve been feasting on Tofu for several years now.
No wonder I feel nauseous every time I even drive into the parking lot at work.
:crazy2:

Afternoon guys. Had fun with DD at soccer this am, then yard work the rest of the day.

Heading out with the mrs. tonight for dinner. Not sure what we'll talk about with out the kids around... :lmao:

Evening Guys.

Pretty quiet in here today, the weather must be getting better everywhere. Excellent short and T-shirt day here today.

Got some yard work done this morning and we spent the afternoon watching the end of a provincial basketball camp for kids born in 2001. It was there first taste of what an elite program would be like. Declan enjoyed it and came home tired as well. Should be an early night for him.
