So... I take it that Mark's latest news prompted an appointment being made? :rolleyes1

I guess I'm serving in my usual role...

Crap, I have to go get a draft guide. I wasn't going to do any sports geek D&D this year. Now I'm in a fantasy football and fantasy futbol league.

DS and I were playing Lego Star Wars II this morning. Specifically the Death Star Trench Run chapter. After we get the last Lego canister he says, "Let's blow this thing and go home!"

Hey guys! Just in case you haven't seen the notices posted in either of the other places, I'm looking for podcast volunteers for the shows through the end of October. PLEASE post your interest in this thread, over on the other boards. It just too hard track down and collate responses in lots of different locations. There are some folks we haven't heard from in a while and a bunch of newbies around here - we'd love to have you back (or debut) on the show!

Staph infection. If they did figure out exactly what strain, they didn't tell me. But the antibiotics he's on seem to be working well, so we're on the right path.

Glad they got it early. I jerked around and ended up with a six week hospital stay and left 40 pounds lighter.

It's going to be a beautiful weekend here in southeast Wisconsin. Mid to upper 70s and sunny all three days. Too bad I'll be spending it on the couch with a bag of frozen peas, recovering from my visit with Dr. Snippy. Hope everyone else has a better weekend.

That made me involuntarily wince. And cross my legs. Thanks. Do you know if Tim had the boys disconnected yet? He was talking about getting it done when we were at dinner Marathon weekend. Five to one he chickened out.

Thanks for the kind words over the past couple of days. As of right now, DW seems to be 100% better. She isn't in any discomfort or pain. We're still not really sure what that was all about though. Hopefully it stays away.

We took both kids back to the Dr. this morning. Today is day 5 of DS' fever so we figured we'd better get him checked out again before the weekend. Still saying it just looks like a viral illness (specifically Croup) but since he isn't showing any of the typical coughing/wheezing symptoms of croup, we're still just treating the fever and trying to keep him drinking

DD, on the other hand, woke up at about midnight coughing and wheezing. It was a long night. Since it is clear now that her brother shared his croup virus with her, we now have a steroid prescription for her to hopefully open her airways up so we can all sleep tonight.

Happy Friday guys!!!!:thumbsup2

Sounds like you need a stiff drink or two. Glad the wife is feeling better and hope the kids are soon bouncing around the house.

Andy: Hope the family is quick on the mend. At least DW is back in action to help with the man-to-man coverage.

Barry: Good luck with that. Like Randall, I was out golfing 2 days after and wasn't too bad off. Hope for you it passes quickly.

I guess I'm serving in my usual role...

:rotfl2: And here I thought this was my purpose in the group. :confused3

Well, one out of three ain't bad. And it helps that the one can help with the other two. (Sorry about all the math in that last sentance)

No, he didn't cut off my hand....although that might have been better. :confused3

Ouch! :headache:

Does this mean you won't be out running this weekend? :rolleyes1
"jogging" was specifically mentioned in the activities to avoid section of the discharge papers. But I've never let medical advice stop me in the past.

I cant believe you are robbing the world of more mini-Barry's
Some might actually think that's a service to mankind.

Well...enjoy preseason football and the Wyndham Championship, I guess. Don't worry, I'm sure my appointment is not too far off now.:headache:
Shhhhh....the NFL Network is about to replay Browns vs. Lions.

Shoot me now.

FYI, I played golf the next day.
Yeah, but that was back in the day when anesthesia was a stick to bite on and they used a pair of hedge trimmers to do the job.

So... I take it that Mark's latest news prompted an appointment being made? :rolleyes1
Actually, no. I had the initial visit back in June, but wanted to wait until after our Disney trip to get it done.

Glad they got it early. I jerked around and ended up with a six week hospital stay and left 40 pounds lighter.
That's why I let Bambi make the medical decisions.

That made me involuntarily wince. And cross my legs. Thanks. Do you know if Tim had the boys disconnected yet? He was talking about getting it done when we were at dinner Marathon weekend. Five to one he chickened out.
I don't know. Mel seems pretty strong. She could hold him down and get it done.

Glad they caught it early and he is on the mend.

Ouch! That hurts just reading it. Even worse......It's on the Honey do list.:scared::scared:

Those of you playing Fantasy Football, remember that the draft starts tomorrow morning at 9 am Eastern. I'd like to be able to pick before Monday, but I just logged into the site and I see that the first pick in Goofy doesn't have a pre-draft pick set, and he hasn't logged into the site in over a month.

Yes, I'm looking at you, Jim (mm1971). :rolleyes1

I'm ready. Why auto draft when you can go in and do it yourself? OK, I'll do it today.:sad1:

:scratchin I'll be back the 28th.

Are you happy Andy?!? I logged in, locked in my #1 and am ready to draft from my Disney hotel room after EMH since I assume my next pick may not be until Wednesday. I'll try to follow along, but you know how Pluto can be.

Although you can only get Disney Infinity today at the parks because it technically comes out on the 18th I just checked my tracking code for my pre-sale order and it says that the game has been delivered already!!!

I know what I'm doing this weekend! (After my boys go to bed and I can actually play) :)

I don't have mine set yet. I'm just picking on you because you have the first pick, so you can set it to get whoever you want. Most guys usually just set a list of a few players that they want for the next round. That way if it gets back to them and they aren't around the computer they'll just automatically draft one of the 5 - 10 players they want with that next pick based on what you want/need and who is left on the board. You've got time between rounds to kind of get in and look around and set a few players for the next pick. It isn't like you're just walking away and letting the computer draft your team.

Glad to see... You know, just making sure you have your priorities right. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

You're new to the league though, aren't you? Even though the draft can take up to 10 hours between picks, it usually doesn't take quite that long, so just be careful. You may be on autopick by Wednesday and we're halfway though the draft if everybody is checking in and being active.

Have fun! :thumbsup2

Way too much math for a Friday afternoon. Need more beer to solve it.

I cant believe you are robbing the world of more mini-Barry's

Some would say robbing. Others would say rejoicing.

. Don't worry, I'm sure my appointment is not too far off now.:headache:
.

Just say no.

I'm looking forward to drafting some even worse players this year.

Nah. Figured instead of going through the hassle of mailing you dirty windows to clean, I would do it myself.
.

Mail Barry the dirty windows. He's got plenty of free time to wash them. I wanted the scones.

Scary stuff. Glad he is ok.

My condolences.

I get to use my last half day of vacation! My anniversary at work is next week, so I will get two more on Tuesday. I will use those up when we make a trip to the land of Pierogi's, kielbasa, and polka!

Early happy anniversary to you and the Mrs. That sounds like a really fun land to visit.

<---- And, I just hit 200 posts! A small accomplishment, I know.

Congrats on the milestone.

All in good fun. Yes, I am new this season and plan to represent the northeast with a stunning victory.:thumbsup2 Or at least beat Norm.:lmao::lmao: Thanks for letting me in. It should be a fun time. I'll make sure to check often and I'll set some picks before I go on Wednesday just in case.

Well, we are not in the same division. And, if it is like last year, even if we have a inter-division match up, there will be a third team. So, you can sport 3 losses a week. I drafted my worst team ever in fantasy thus far last year, and since it is now a keeper league, I'll have a crappy team going forward.

The only good news is that I have finished ahead of my nemesis both seasons.

You're only keeping 3 players though. There are a lot of quality players and a lot of mistakes left for the draft.

All top QBs gone.
All top TEs gone.
Top 5 RBs gone.
Top 5 WRs gone.

Those may represent 40% of team production. Yes, there are a few other players, but that is a big hole to climb out of. Maybe I can draft the top defense and top kicker to make up for that match up advantage. :lmao:

And we are off like a herd of turtles. Only 16 hours of interstate between us and Disney world now.

Evening guys

In Richburg SC everyone felt drained so we stopped for the night and will have to push hard tomorrow. Did a lot of stopping too. Plus traffic approaching Charlotte NC was a *****. Had dinner and made back to motel in time to watch Phineas and Ferb Mission Marvel
Just catching up before sleep. Going to aim to be back on road before 7 am
‘

Driving can be frustrating for sure. Hope y’all make good time today.
Remember to wave as you drive by

We cheered, waved and all yelled"HELLO ROB" when we passed it.

I'm almost there!
