Quick request for a little prayer for my dad.

Prayers for your dad.

Today was check-up day with the Doctor. Things are good (relatively speaking). Prescription changed to two pills a week. Have to have blood work done in 6 weeks and see him again in 6 months. Major waste of time though.

Glad to hear all is well.

Today was the 1st day back to work after a 9 day vacation, as I expected the place fell apart, it seems no one really appreciates you till your not there for a few days, was only at work for 1/2 hour before the Boss offered overtime, hey it's getting hard to come by, so I'll grab it whenever it's offered:thumbsup2

At least you got the extra pay. I just get the extra work.

Good morning from balmy Livonia, Michigan :)

World traveler. Safe travels.

Morning guys,

the big reveal went great. I was going to video tape it but didn't want to since he was still in bed. I will say he's never came out of bed faster. :lmao:

Leaving in a couple of hours, talk to you all when we get back.

Safe travels as well.

Good morning all.
:

Wish I could start my day with that breakfast. Leaving to go set up for a big 300 person conference at local university. This is regarding new MCOs for Medicaid. Sounds super boring. Y'll have a good day.

You can do it Barry! We're all counting on you! :lmao:
Now that you mention it, we'll be on Tower of Terror a lot on our anniversary. And it is pretty dark in there.....:scratchin:

Quick request for a little prayer for my dad. Been having trouble with his eye now cannot see out of it. They are not sure whether or not it'srelated to the chemo or his diabetes. It'll be basicly 6 weeks before they can address this, which is going to keep him from driving.
He's in a pretty low state right now, between the cancer and this. He just got a new trailer up north after almost 30 years, and a membership for golf and now is basicly grounded at home unable to use them. He's wondering what's next, and could use a little goodluck to comne his way. I know he'll get over this, but it;'s hard to see him like this. Thanks
Prayers for a speedy resolution and recovery.

Sorry, but no one is coming near my boys with any type of cutting instrument. Good luck with that Nemi!
It doesn't have to be done up close or with a cutting instrument. A well timed and perfectly thrown firecracker will yield the same results.

Prayers being sent! That really sucks to be losing sight like that on top of fighting cancer and diabetes. Hope he gets well soon!

Yes it does. Hope they at least have donuts.

We are huge DCL fans - it is basically a WDW resort at sea with cool pools and water park all combined and cruises that stop at Castaway Cay - place is amazing! If you are not that into cruising consider a 3 or 4 day cruise to test it out with a 3 day at WDW or something like that. Check into the DVC member cruises as using DVC points for a cruise requires booking far in advance as there are "limited" number of rooms that DVC members can use for each cruise. And feel free to pm me or whatever with questions - same goes for any other Dads.
I plan on testing my sea legs on a DCL cruise. My wife just decided that for her 40th she wants to cruise Europe- just me and her. But I've never cruised before so a 3 or 4-nighter will be a good way to test the waters (pun intended).
Thanks for the voting. After checking with DW and the kids, we will be doing #3.

So the disdads give input, but mom and kids get final vote. Smart move..

I was thinking of a 3 or 4 day cruise. I know it is Disney, so it will be done well. I am not afraid of boats or have any type of motion sickness. And, I had thought about a stay at WDW before the cruise, driving down to Port Canaveral the last morning. It is a lot of $.

You're lucky. I've been seasick a couple of times, and it's the worst. There are 2 stages to seasickness. In the first, you're afraid you're going to die. In the second, you're afraid you won't.

Stole my line...

Good morning Gentlemen.

I've got a serious question for you guys this morning. Last night we read the thread announcing free dinning will be released for part of our trip in October. It has thrown us into a bit of a scramble. When the rumors came out we made a second set of reservations that would fit free dinning in case we decided to change. We have all the ADRs in that second set we want except CRT. We arrive on October 14th and free dinning is supposed to start on the 18th. We were planning on doing a week using my parent's timeshare points. That would have us checking into AoA on the 21st. We've thrown out doing a short stay at the time share and doing an extra three days at AoA, checking in on Friday the 18th when free dining is supposed to start. If I read the Disney site right, we can pick up our tickets three days before our check in. That happens to be the day we're planning on going to MK and have BBB and CRT reservations in our original plan before free dinning came out. My questions:
1) Does it make sense to tack on and extra couple of days for extra free dinning?
2) Is my math right and we can pick up our tickets on Tuesday for a Friday check in?
3) If we were to pick up the tickets early, where would we pick them up at?

Thanks :thumbsup2

keeping your dad in our prayers, Brent.

So since little Donovan has been eating some solids for 2 weeks now, decided to let him try some of daddy's eggs and bacon. Eggs he didn't care for, the bacon he completely sucked the flavor out of. And by suck, I mean you could hear him slurping on it from the next room. My boy has good taste.:thumbsup2

Wow. Those are the same stages for kidney stones.
