Nice and hot time. I remember my first truck only had the windows. Now, can't survive without AC.

And an update on that. Upon further investigation, the pulley/clutch for the AC fan is frozen. Car's going in the shop tomorrow since it's on the serpentine belt. Hate to drive 3+ hours home only to have the belt shred and leave me stranded. Yay..........

Good catch. Stranded in the sun is even worse than driving without AC in it.

...Just don't bring back any "souvenirs".:cool2:

DD is a souvenir.

...... I got 9 more years to get the youngest out the door, and I'll be lucky to do that. ....

We are on the same schedule but you are younger, closer to retirement, and have your spot already in CJ's front yard. I must have done something wrong along the way. :rotfl2:

I may take you up on the cruise question. DW went on a Carnival one with some friends and really enjoyed it. Me - I think I bought DVC to enjoy 30+ years of vacations there, and don't understand why anyone would want to go anywhere else. Now, if I got to captain the boat, then you're onto something.

We are huge DCL fans - it is basically a WDW resort at sea with cool pools and water park all combined and cruises that stop at Castaway Cay - place is amazing! If you are not that into cruising consider a 3 or 4 day cruise to test it out with a 3 day at WDW or something like that. Check into the DVC member cruises as using DVC points for a cruise requires booking far in advance as there are "limited" number of rooms that DVC members can use for each cruise. And feel free to pm me or whatever with questions - same goes for any other Dads.
Checked in for the flight, packing almost done, surprise reveal in about 12 hours.

Good deal and enjoy the surprise reveal, safe travels and enjoy - I know how can't you enjoy :thumbsup2

Disney style turkey legs found at Sams. Soaked in BBQ sauce, smoked and then slowcooked on grill with hickory chips soaked in BBQ sauce / seasoning mixture. Alos put a dry BBQ rub on em after soaking - about 95% like those at the parks per the family.

You either found your princess later than I, or your swimmers took a lot of wrong turns.

I was thinking of a 3 or 4 day cruise. I know it is Disney, so it will be done well. I am not afraid of boats or have any type of motion sickness. And, I had thought about a stay at WDW before the cruise, driving down to Port Canaveral the last morning. It is a lot of $.

Thoughts and prayers.
Just curious was she a student at A&M? If so PM me her name and I will make sure she is counted here at the local muster here.
On April 21st every year Aggies al over the world gather where ever they are and perform a roll call for aggies that passed in the last year. Someone calls "here" for each name on the list.

No, she was in high school. But she was planning on attending A&M.

Thanks for the voting. After checking with DW and the kids, we will be doing #3.

Quick request for a little prayer for my dad. Been having trouble with his eye now cannot see out of it. They are not sure whether or not it'srelated to the chemo or his diabetes. It'll be basicly 6 weeks before they can address this, which is going to keep him from driving.
He's in a pretty low state right now, between the cancer and this. He just got a new trailer up north after almost 30 years, and a membership for golf and now is basicly grounded at home unable to use them. He's wondering what's next, and could use a little goodluck to comne his way. I know he'll get over this, but it;'s hard to see him like this. Thanks

Thoughts and prayers for you Dad Brent. I hope things get worked out.

Today was check-up day with the Doctor. Things are good (relatively speaking). Prescription changed to two pills a week. Have to have blood work done in 6 weeks and see him again in 6 months. Major waste of time though.

Have been "scheduling" the appointment for 2 years now. I guess I should just go ahead soon since we don't plan on any more.

Sorry, but no one is coming near my boys with any type of cutting instrument. Good luck with that Nemi!

I am planning to include DL on way out to Aulani to break up the travel a bit for next years trip. - great minds think alike. We did DL this past spring break / March and had 4 full park days which was more than enough - can easily see all of DL in 2-3 days. Since we did DL already thinking about flying out of Nashville on a Thursday, spend 2 nights at DL with Friday as a park day and then head to Aulani from LAX on Saturday and stay for 7 nights.

We did something similar last summer. Flew to Hawaii, spent a week diving and a week at Aulani. Then 5 days at DL on the way back. Great trip.

Quick request for a little prayer for my dad...

Sent. Hope he quickly improves.

Today was the 1st day back to work after a 9 day vacation, as I expected the place fell apart, it seems no one really appreciates you till your not there for a few days, was only at work for 1/2 hour before the Boss offered overtime, hey it's getting hard to come by, so I'll grab it whenever it's offered:thumbsup2

Morning guys,

the big reveal went great. I was going to video tape it but didn't want to since he was still in bed. I will say he's never came out of bed faster. :lmao:

Leaving in a couple of hours, talk to you all when we get back.
