DIS Dads DDC XXIX: We’re Over 750 Dads, With A Disney Problem!

Good weekend so far. Yesterday was spent with my lazy butt on the couch and today some errands and not much else. Biggest decision today is deciding what to make for dinner tomorrow. Maybe London Broil. Some good games yesterday but the Georgia loss was a tough one. I am sure Fed enjoyed it. Gators played well at times and beat a decent team. They face a much tougher game next week in Miami. Would go to the game but instead am probably seeing friends in the Keys.



Stay safe and I hope no other damage occurred. With the exception of a year here and there, UK has long been the Little Sisters of the Poor in the SEC (as you know). I imagine UK fans are already looking forward to November and the start of Basketball. With the BB team they will have, can't really blame them.





Nice on both accounts. DD took her 26.2 Mickey Marathon decal to school so nothing is on the car. Would like to get one of those CM decals but I don't think she is doing the College Program or at least waiting until the time between graduation and grad school.

understandable. I don't see how she would have been able to go to school and be on the program at the same time. she is not one that can do courses on line and there is no way with the hours to do both. heck, we are still waiting for her to decide what she wants to do for a living.

she said she would like to do something in the hospitality field. she grumbles here and there but she does like working with people and for Disney. she is thinking as long as she keeps a clean record and keeps getting written up which goes on her work record, she should have a good chance at getting back in.

I have to give her credit, she is not afraid to start at the bottom and work her way up. there are not to many companies that allow you to do that. not because she is my kid, you can ask her, I don't blow sunshine up her butt to often and she is guilty till proven innocent but the kid is a hard worker and is not lazy which is 80 percent of the battle I think.

i told her the same thing my dad told me...... you got to be happy. if you hate your job, forget it....... if you want something and willing to work for it, if you can spell it or not.... you'll get.

Just a quick pop to say we made it home in two days. Our stay overnight in Fayetteville NC didn't go too smooth, so it prompted us to boogie on home. Got in around 12:30 am. Got everything up, now going to get some much needed sleep.

A very early good morning guys and Happy Labor Day. Stay safe out there. After much internal debate, I decided on London Broil and garlic mashed potatoes for dinner. Other than that, not much planned today.

Thanks. I really think the rabid UK fans have just come to expect a losing season in football every year and championships in basketball every year. As for me, since DW and I combine for degrees at 3 of the different universities, I'm eligible to cheer for all of them.

That would work. Go with the team with the hot hand. I think they have a good coach but what do I know, I thought Joker was a good coach. Florida thought so and hired him as their receivers coach. By all accounts he is doing a good job.
