Happy International Bacon Day. Yep, it's so big that this holiday is worldwide. Hey Canada- don't say we never did anything for you!

And it's Star Wars night at the Kane County Cougars game ( farm team for the Cubs). Costumes and characters. Plus DD decided to be Princess Leia for Halloween. Weekend starts right. Hope all you dads have a great start and that good news follows for test results, family illnesses, and disney trips.

Heading out in a couple of hours for Declan's provincial semi-final game. Hopefully that will lead into tomorrow's final and another over night stay. At least this time it will be at my parents and not another hotel.

Good day, all. Not a great day for the campground but its better than being at home working on some overdue project. I loved that speech by the vice chancellor although I couldn't relate to it at all. I had no girlfriend when I started college, I commuted to a local school so I wasn't leaving anyone behind as it was and I was at an engineering school that had only started admitting women five years earlier and the ratio was like 12 or 15 to 1 so it was more of a starvation diet than a smorgasbord, but it was still funny.

Bills paid. Grass cut. 13th wedding anniversary Monday - celebrating on Labor Day - how appropriate. You all have a good weekend.

I love seafood, but that is a bit much for one sitting. Some of it was cooked last night. The rest will be used for stocking up a few freezers.

Okay, I just saw the Oscar mayer commercial where the dad walks in to the room where his son and two other boys are playing video Games. He starts talking 'street' in a most embarrassing fashion hoping to get the last piece of bacon from the boy's breakfast. Does anyone else find this an insult to bacon loving dads everywhere?

I love seafood, but that is a bit much for one sitting. Some of it was cooked last night. The rest will be used for stocking up a few freezers.

That was my bait. If you need some freezer space, you can send them to me.

I've seen that one. My usual conversation with my dds usually goes something like I paid for it, so I get the last piece of bacon. The back up strategy is to ask them if they want to be fat like me, and when they are distracted, I grab the last piece.

Evening Guys.

Declan's team had the soccer gods against them today. Probably had about 70% of the possession but couldn't convert. They ended up losing in sudden death penalty kicks. They can keep their heads high as they represented the club and themselves very well.

So club soccer is done and now school starts on Tuesday. That means the school soccer team as well as travel basketball will be starting soon.
