Dad question: anyone contemplating going to Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim in 2015? Thoughts?

Hey Dads..I hope to have pics up by the end of the week, just getting re-settled again and sorting through the pics, there are almost 4000 between my camera, Photopass+, DW;s camera and her iPhone (my phone has like three on them). Trying to get the talking Mickey uploaded but having issues. Photobucket and FB are sketchy tonight, and not wanting to use Youtube but might have to.

It was a great trip. We were blessed with a LOT of Magic and pixie dust, by luck and amazing CMs. I also learned a few things along the way. Might or might not atempt a trip report, not very good at them.

Some Highlights:

Trip down was fun, girls were better at the drive then we thought they'd be. We made decent time, lots of traffic though. Cocoa beach was a great idea, Boat tour paid off, saw Manatees, Dolphins, turtles, lots of birds etc.

Weather was great, didn't feel as stupid hot as last time, although we were roasting at times. It rained, but didnt feel as bad as it did other times. Good storms a few times but we just rolled with it. We had 2 1/2 days of no rain near the end, not bad for august.

In two separate days at MK with Fastpass and FP+ with no set plan, we accomplished a LOT both days.

Gaston took a shine to the girls
Got my Jasmine Pic
Lots of Dole Whips.
Ended up as Grand Marshals of the Parade on the 23rd.
Met talking Mickey Mouse
Canal Side seats at San Angel right in front of the Volcano.
Little wait time on rides, just good planing, smart FPing and low crowds
Three rides on TSM in one day, Five in total.
Great interactions with some Characters, Woody, Gaston, Rapunzel and Mr Incredible come to mind
Pools were actually cool, not feeling like walking into soup. In the evenings it was cold enough to chill you when you came out.
Only DW had issues with her Magic Band, ours worked the way they are supposed to.
Meeting up with Jim, by chance at Epcot after failing to meet anyone else, mainly due to my crappy wifi issues and restrictions, and DW's wanting to keep moving on. I got frustrated about it. Talking with Jim and his Family at Epcot well past closing was a blast, even if we almost got stranded there thanks to oversights by CMs. Thank goodness a Bus Driver was paying attention.
I got to see this fabled Buena Vista Way I hear so much about....by accident and poor directions. (We know how to get lost in style!)

Might have been more, but got to get myself organized.

Can't wait to see the pics :thumbsup2

Good morning guys. Love these short work weeks :thumbsup2

Happy Birthday to the almighty and powerful Rafiki, aka, Barry party:

Tuesday morning ownage.

Congrats again and glad the dinner went well. I am sure you realize how lucky you are and if not, you need a frying pan upside the head.

Yes, she tells me that everyday. :lmao:

Happy Anniversary Norm & many more:goodvibes, I know exactly the glasses you are talking about, we got a pair on our Honeymoon & a pair on our 5th Anniversary, I don't know if they still give them out & I've never seen them in any store at WDW, they are a Great spacial occasion glass and being from CRT it makes them that much better:cool1:

Yes, crystal would have made them extra nice, but we think they are really cool. I've never seen them for purchase either.

Yes- kudos Norm and his lovely wife

Thanks.

Sounds like a great trip Brent. I hear you about the stop in NC. Nothing makes you more uncomfortable than being in a strange place and seeing people milling about your car.

Good morning gentlemen. First chance to check in since Thursday. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Happy anniversary Norm
Happy birthday Barry.

Oh man what a weekend....I'm glad I had a day to recover after Saturday Night:lmao::lmao:

Cj....ACC ACC ACC ACC....:rotfl2:

Morning Dads! Every week needs to be a 4-day work week. Sounds like all had a good Labor Day weekend, football helped make it a good one for sure. DD made it back to school safe after a couple of day visit - was nice to see her. Have a good one guys.

how bout them golden domers!!!!!!!! :cool1:
GO IRISH! Looked liked they let off the pedal after getting out to such a great start. Big one is Sat night with Michigan.
kid got another one today!!!! :cool1:

she still needs safety.
Congrats - they may never let her out of there :thumbsup2
Howdy guys...

Just a quick pop to say we made it home in two days. Our stay overnight in Fayetteville NC didn't go too smooth, so it prompted us to boogie on home. Got in around 12:30 am. Got everything up, now going to get some much needed sleep.
Sorry to hear about NC but glad to hear all home safe. Sounds like a great trip.
anyone have any thoughts on this one???

I still don't know what to think. I guess ill have to wait to see it.

Me & DS are looking forward to it based on trailer we saw at theaters.
Doing our fasspass+ reservations for our trip in November.
Good luck. Our trip for March is all booked but can;t do any this yet - being in the middle of the test and full rollout may be a bit of a challenge.
Dad question: anyone contemplating going to Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim in 2015? Thoughts?
Had some brief discussions about it but understanding that registration is already open - over a year out, really? Me and DS have done 2 Celebrations and this one peaked interest due to location and ability to add a couple of days to DL. Kicker is DS would have to be pulled out of school and its just a bit too far out to lock & load considering school and work schedules.
