I am treating the family to a new appetizer we invented. It is a corn bread, cream cheese and lobster app (And of course there is bacon involved). I'll try to send the recipe later. The lobster was crawling around on the bottom of the ocean earlier this morning. Can't get much fresher than that.

That sounds good. Not a lot of fresh lobster available here.

We brine ours as well. Soak for 14 hours. Started the brining traditional about three years ago using the recipe from Alton Brown on Food Network. Fill up on turkey, take a nap and then watch the Pats move one more game closer to the AFC East title.

Yeah...I was out a few weeks ago for a buddy's bachelor party...looked at the 20 something girls and how they were dressed and thought. Man, am I going to lose my mind having 2 girls.

Mine aren't allowed to dress that way, ever. I'm sure they'll listen to me since they won't now.

No, we are driving to two Thanksgivings today, so we only have some casseroles to chip in to th gluttony fest. I want to stay here enjoy Thanksviging. Her parents have been divorced so long that they easily guilt her into making multiple trips. I will take th dds to visit my parents when I can work it in. I took there yesterday and probably will sometime during th school break for Christmas.

I am starting to think the same, I have ventured and gotten in some trouble.

Have not gotten in trouble yet, but I have been frustrated at some of the threads I have seen. The mods must have just missed some of the posts. Happy Thanksgiving to all the dads today and those that do not celebrate, be thankful for the good things in life and eat lots of food anyway.

When does the bird come out of it's bath? Have a great day with the princess. DD and watched Chipwrecked this morning and are planning to watch the parade on TV at 9. Heading to mom's in about an hour. Will post some pics of the turkey cake DD made yesterday for the festivities later.

So I'm currently making broccoli salad and deviled eggs while my DD's are waiting on the parades on TV.

BTW, It's okay if you don't like broccoli salad...my concoction has mayo, shredded cheese and of course copious amounts of bacon

The deviled eggs...everyone raves about them. The secret is to use ground mustard. Ironically, the recipe came right off of a page called..."How to make deviled eggs."

Now I'm making myself hungry!
