hey guys just wanted to let you all know I am back on the grid! may do a little write up about storm in a bit. But right now I am going in for a hot shower.!!!
Welcome back to the 21st century Carl! Glad that you got power back so soon.

Man, when I first saw this, I thought you said "stripper fishing" :rotfl2:

I'd go for that.

Really, Florida lobster?:confused3 They don't have lobster in Florida. Only those funny looking crab things. Maine lobster, beer battered fish and chips fresh from the sea. Ice cold Sam Adams. Sounds like I know where I'm heading for dinner this weekend.

A house in Miami would be nice.:scratchin I'm watching you.:magnify:

I always feel like, somebody's watching me.

For those following my drainage DW was officially terminated this afternoon, hello unemployment. We move on now.

Sorry to hear it. Prayers for your family.

You go fishing for dolphin? What would Flipper say!

The fish not the mammal. Don't eat fish but friends say they are good eating.

Sharks eat people!

No they don't.

Come on, we can cruise the Caribbean from Boston or NY if we want.

Yea but we are right here and they leave all the time. Not once in a while.

In the year of a presidential election, you feel south beach and clothing optional is more important than seeing where our forefathers liberated our country.:sad2:

Umm, yea.

We do have better lobster.

That is true. But Maine's is even better.

:thumbsup2

Another night another dolor. Working the overnight, lets hope for s good night.

Hopefully those interviews bear fruit soon. Enjoy WDW.

Hey Paul and Barry. With the Disney Star Wars news today, I see a new parks half marathon called the Kessel Run. I hope you can do it in 12 parsecs

Nice one nemie. :lmao:

The Facebook page is tossing around ideas for Star Wars items to add around Star Tours.

Hey guys. We made it through the storm without any problems. We really lucked out here. Pretty much all around our town had major power loss. I don't really know why it happened that way. Maybe because our town was trimming trees all summer after the October snowstorm last year.

Read an article where gigatons of methane are being released under the ocean around North America. Sounds like the Mayans may have been right after all.
Barry swimming in the Atlantic again?

Tim will be there too, so no half thread ether.
You are right.... I'll be there!

I'll lend my 1/2 thread to you while I'm gone.

Also trying to redo my schedule. Will be coming in later Thursday so will miss the park meets. Dinner is on though. Friday, Tim is springing for a pre-half marathon dinner for Barry and myself at Via Napoli so can't miss that. Sunday will probably have to take the Pirate Princess to the airport to fly back to school. Won't know until her next semester's schedule is done.
HUH? :sad2: :sad2:

Ok well I have some not so good news...

On Thursday of last week I got rear ended on I4 near US 17-92. It was bad to where I have been in the hospital since that day. After several x-rays and tests, I find that my L1-L6 on pinched and may have to under go quite long rehab and perhaps surgery. I am home now and bound to bed and light movement. Here is some off topic images, sorry no not looking for sympathy but to just, I guess, explain where I have been.
Geez, I hope you are OK. That looks like a nasty crash.

Made it though the night, still have power and water in the basement.

Ron is still out of power, it came on, then went off. He tried to go to work and only got half way down the street when a cop told him "No work today!"

Dave is still without power, and he lost half of his roof about 11 last night. He started his claim at 3:30 this morning. He need supplies to cover the open area, but can't get out because of the down trees and power lines.

I haven't heard from Carl, he was out of power last I heard.

Storm Update Ownage!
Thanks for the updates!

Carl F is still without power. Has a generator, but his fridge blew (from the surge?). Tim never lost power, neither did I, although 2/3 of my town is out. Mark, despite being in the direct line of fire, had power out for only 13 hours.

Anyone heard from Ron or Don?
Thanks Doc! :thumbsup2

Really sorry to hear, hopefully one of the interviews will pan out. Was really hoping for some kharma to get those others.

Thanks, we move forward and live on, worst part is she is cutting money already and we leave for Disney in a week. Could've a depressing trip.

Thanks for all the well wishes

Glad those out East are getting back to the thread.

Everyone have s good night.

Mourning gentlemen, have a great Holloween.

Miami verses Boston? Really?

Fall foliage against sunshine and warm temps even in February? Whale WATCHING against scuba diving WITH turtles, sharks and tropical fishes? Striper fishing against tarpon, dolphin and marlin fishing? Halloween in Salem against the year round nightlife in South Beach? Plymouth Rock. Really a rock? I won’t bother with a comeback to a rock. Martha's Vineyard or the Cape against the Florida Keys? Boston Marathon against ING Marathon plus the Orange Bowl, NASCAR, The Doral Championship, SONY Open...? Bunker Hill and Boston Common against a clothing optional beach? Basketball Hall of Fame against one of a number of cruise ships sailing the Caribbean? Touring the Sam Adams brewery against only 245 miles from drinking Sam Adams at Disney World?

You go fishing for dolphin? What would Flipper say!

Sharks eat people!

He asked me what I could offer, I didn't say he should take it.

We do have better lobster.

CJ, you left out Fantasy Fest. :lmao:

So, have you both decided to declare? Should I add you to page one?

Morning Gents, I hope everyone is still safe and is able to start to get back to normal.

We were lucky and missed the storm here, just lots of rain and some of the loudest thunder I have ever heard last night. It woke me up when it shook the house.

Glad you're back up and running, Carl. Sounds like New Jersey got the worst of the storm. Our beaches had some flooding, too--we're waiting to get called into a meeting to see where the emergency repairs need to happen. Having a hurricane at high tide is the worst-case scenario, for sure.

Disney bought Lucas Films... including the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchise - Cool. :thumbsup2

I'm just glad that we can finally see a proper, respectful film treatment of Howard the Duck.

For those following my drainage DW was officially terminated this afternoon, hello unemployment. We move on now.

Sorry to hear that. I hope you guys bounce back quickly.

Good Mornin' Guys....

Halloween Trick or Treating for our town has been pushed back to Friday because of the weather.

DD's are bummed.
