How do they get the gators to not hiss and get mad at the guests?

They're all pretty used to it. There are a few aggressive ones that they need to keep farther away, but the ones they use for the Gator Wrasslin' shows (and the ones you get to sit on) have been hand picked for mild temperament, are used to all of the activity and are kept well fed so they don't get a sudden hankerin' for a touristy snack.

It's coming... still stretching it daily. Doc also says I should stay hydrated with as much alcohol as I can. (ok, he didn't say that but it would of been awesome if he did!)

I have jogged a few short distances but I haven't resumed training yet. I wanted to start 3 weeks ago but it seems like I have no time to get to the gym, track, whatever. I did walk a lot of stairs on the Magic a few weeks ago, so maybe that counts.

Makes sense. Like I said the only gator I've ever been close to was hyper aggressive. The ones I've seen on Swamp people and Crocodile Hunter don't do much to dispel that impression.

I guess footage of gators just sitting on the river bank not moving doesn't get very good ratings.

You can also feed them, then turn your back to them and get a nice picture:

I don't care how semi-domesticated they are, there ain't no way in Perdition I'm gonna put my backside that close to that many big gators.
I've been that close to more, but there was either a nice, sturdy chain link fence or a boat hull between us, keeping things really friendly.

OH MY! You guys have been chatty over the last few days. At this rate the new thread is only going to last about a week.

Hope everyone is doing well. Going to see Dark Knight Rises tonight. DW and I are still having discussions on DVC. Not really sure where we are going to fall on that topic. It is tied to numerous other life decisions at this point.

If you get a chance check out Great Lakes Warriors on the History channel. In my job I do the coordination of barge planning for a couple of our steel mills up here on Lake Michigan and they are featuring one of the tugboat companies that I deal with. I have been on one of there boats and in several meetings with the captain they are calling The Legend, John Selvick. That's kind of funny. Of course since it is TV they are over sensationalizing it.

I hear you. We discussed it for awhile and once we made the decision, waited and watched the resale market until I found the right contract. Good luck. We did it buying small contracts and ended up buying at different resorts. It was cheaper that way, and we like the variety of having two resorts at 11 month booking windows.

Ah, the under 21 version of Cold Pizza and Warm Beer. I know at the time you posted this it would be "Good Luck", but I'll just go ahead and say "Congratulations" here as well.

I think it is a great ideo to stay hydrated with as much alcohol as you can drink. Does that help?

I've been a bit busy. DW hasn't been working since the beginning of May, I've been putting in overtime when I can, and I picked up four private tutoring lessons to teach after work. All in preparation for the arrival of our twins in late December/early January. Haven't really had time to check in here (especially when there's 10+ pages to check most days), but I do appear at the other place from time to time...

Had an interesting incident at work. I'm dealing blackjack to a bunch of 18 year olds. They have no clue what they are doing. One is a blonde who is very chatty and never played before. She has a 20 and I hiit one of my five card 21s. She shouts, "Are you ****ing me?"

An uneventful day. Have to work this week so I won't be at the computer much during the day.

But, it was an eventful day for Penn State University. I'm not so much on punishing current players, but glad to see them remove the wins from Paterno's record during the coverup time period. A terrible ordeal.
