OK, amend my complaint to the cruise, 400 more DVC points for me and a month in the Castle Suite for Make a Wish or Give Kids the World families. There are recurring trauma episodes when I go out on my deck and walk on the wood planking. I think totally justified demands.

That I can get behind... Good luck with that.

And I wouldn't call it a complaint. It's clearly more of a traumatic ordeal you've been faced with, and are looking for a small amount of reciprocation for the many sleepless nights, not to mention the amount of bandages (and the Band-Aid® brand not the cheap generic store brand crap) to sooth the blistering inferno on the big toe.

I second Norm's complaint. Can we talk to your supervisor? Oh, and I stubbed my toe walking along the Boardwalk a few years ago. I want a free 14 day cruise, 400 more DVC points and a month in the Cinderella Castle Suite.

I'll just settle for living at a Grand Villa at BLT for life.

Evening guys! Meatloaf Monday here at the duck house. One of my meetings today was with a Penn St. alum, he was not a happy camper.

Meatloaf? You use beef or a beef/ pork mix.

Nice guilt trip Brian.......can I borrow it for Norm :rotfl2:

Won't work. Too many years of Catholic schools have innoculated me.

There may be a bonus involved..she is already at the top of the pay scale for FNP .

Maybe I need to see is Steve needs a highly paid assistant with no qualifications. I am available.

10 Points to Norm for the big word of the day!

I tryed too use me edumacation offten.

It does stink being in a dead end, low paying job. But, 4 days work weeks make up for it. I have had a variety of PRN jobs to make up the income but decided to take the summer off and enjoy it with my children. Sometimes, I think about the alternative. Other days, I enjoy what I have. While uneventful, this is one of those days.

:thumbsup2 You're a good dad, Norm! :thumbsup2

My DD who is 4 wants to ride ToT in Oct (besides not fully being sure of the age/height requirements) is it bad parenting to let her ride knowing and fully warning her she will prob pee her pants if she does?

4 is a little young for ToT in my opinion.

I'd be surprised if she'd still want to ride it after waiting in the line. The themeing is pretty intense there.

My plan for post padding has been done in by an iPhone and bad connection. The good news is a 64 cent Arby's sandwich (special deal today) and a bottle of KY Bourbon Ale for dinner.

I feel like my options are be the strict dad and out right say no you cant or I can take her in and hope the decor scares her alittle (she is above the height requirement) and of course she will prob love the decor and still want to ride. she sees the video and loves it. Kindof scares me for when she becomes a teenager haha

I think it dpends on the 4 year old...Lauren and Ethan both rode it at 4 and maybe 3 I cant recall for sure...but the both loved it and asked to do it again and again ...ok..Im a bad parent :rotfl2:

Nothing really just guest complaints... Had a whole load check in today. I think a cheer group or something.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Them girls is crazy! I see them heading for me in the parks, I head the other way. Like OMG.

Just got home from work and Shari met me at the door with a big smile on her face...she passed her Heart Failure exam and is not a specialized Heart Failure Nurse Practitioner!!!:banana::banana::banana:
Congrats! I wasn't sure passing a heart failure exam sounded like a good thing, but I guess it is.

I'll bet he had word of the day toilet paper.

Mine were about that age when they first went on ToT. They loved it and wanted to ride again. Then they told people that they loved it, and those people said stuff like "Aren't you scared?" and "That's such a scary ride!". Now all of a sudden, they're scared to ride it.:mad::mad:

I think 44" is the height req but stitchkingdom.com I think has a list of height reqs. As for her age, she might be a brave talker now and bail at the moment of entry. I don't think you're a bad parent. You let her decide. DD is 4 and she demanded to ride expedition Everest. She did and post ride response was, "daddy, let's not ride that again.". Space mountain I can't get her off that ride.

Don't be afraid. You may have one of those kids who can handle fear better than others. Or she's just not afraid of ToT but may fear IASW (you could only be that lucky).

on wdw website it said 42" ,she loves to just scream so when she saw the video she might just be thinking it a place for people who love to scream haha. and Im pretty sure she wont want to ride ToT more then once, but its not the first time i might be wrong

Many may disagree but to me - IASW = passage to insanity

You have to know your child. As soon as mine was tall enough for a ride, she wanted to do it. The videos were a good idea. Did the same thing with mine. She knew what she was in for before trying it.

If you are in line and she wants to bail, be prepared to do it. Mine was (and still is) a daredevil but has some common sense to it. She measured growing up by the rides she could do. Was so excited to ride R&R that the CM thought she was scared and told her she didn't need to ride. She looked at him like he was an idiot.

And no, you are not a bad parent.

I havent been to MK in many years so Im up for one voyage in IASW, well I guess im up for atleast one ride per ride, also I know im brand new to the DisDads but when do you get a number?

CJ and Sean are considering offering me money to wrestle an alligator wearing an Alice dress.

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I don’t know what they’re offering to get you to do it,
But I suspect that are certainly folks that would pay to see it.

You can also feed them, then turn your back to them and get a nice picture:

We did that last summer. Links to the Trip Report entries can be found here:
Gatorland, Vol 1
Gatorland, Vol 2
Gatorland, Vol 3 "The dumbest thing I've ever done"
Gatorland, Vol 4 "But I get to hold the snake"

You’ll also notice in that picture that Bambi has one arm around
Madison, a hand on Evan, and is set in a sprinters stance.
I believe the plan was to trip Barry while pulling the kids to safety.
Should the need arise.

By the way…
If you haven’t had a chance to read that particular TR, you ought to.

Just got home from work and Shari met me at the door with a big smile on her face...she passed her Heart Failure exam and is NOW a specialized Heart Failure Nurse Practitioner!!!:banana::banana::banana:

Fixed…
But more importantly, congratulations.

I missed where you joined up sir, so…

:welcome:

Now then, I’m with most of the others. If she knows what the ride does,
has seen a POV or two on YouTube, and still wants to do it… let her try.

I have also seen scaled down versions of “elevator drop” type rides for
younger kids that will lift them up and randomly drop a few feet, then raise
‘em up again and drop a few more. If you run across one of those contraptions
in an arcade or **gasp** a Chuck-E-Cheese, you could let her try it out for size.
Just seeing such might change her mind

…or set the goal in concrete.
