Two days of long steady rain here this weekend. I wish I could have sent it to the farmers.

Been a busy weekend getting ready for vacation bible school this week. This is the first time we are doing VBS in the evening and there is a lot going on. Should be a good time for involved, though.

We always have VBS at night. We get a lot of dads involved that way since they just come right after work. My wife was the director this year. It was weeks ago and somehow she's still doing work for it.

Good Morning everybody. With that new DIS iPhone app, it's a lot easier to keep up. Every night as I'm giving DS his bedtime bottle I can just scroll through and see what every one is up to. But it's hard enough to type with 2 thumbs, so trying to do it with just one is about impossible. So let's see if I can remember what I wanted to say....

Yeah, I like the app so that I can keep track of things, but it is always hard to remember what I saw when I come back to reply. I can't get the multiquote to work on mine... I've got a Droid though, maybe it is different?

Ron - Nice work on the power windows. I've had to replace a few of them on my van. Yesterday was worse though - we were just getting packed up and ready to head out and go to lunch and run some errands. A small coolant drip had turned into more of a coolant flow. Luckily, Autozone is only a block away, so I got some hose and just over an hour later we're on the road. And yes, if anyone remembers last summer's trip report, this is the same repair I had to do while sitting at my in-law's carport.

I hope you fixed it right this time.

It was actually on one of the connections that I was never able to get right when we were down there. Now that I had my own tools I could do a better job. Bambi asked if it was time to get ride of it as well. When I can fix it for $20 vs paying $20,000 for different vehicle? Still a no-brainier in my book.

$20 fixes are always the way to go.

We kind of had rain Saturday morning.

I say kind of, because I was outside working in the yard when it started. It misted for maybe about 2 hours, and I stayed outside the whole time. My shirt was drying just as fast as it was getting wet and there was nothing in the rain gauge.

HOpe it gets better. Two requests that are popular - Turtle Creek or Hospitality House. HH gets you near feature pool, water slide, Olivia's restaurant, and outside QS, and boat launch. Turtle Creek has a private pool, shuffleboard, & QS. There is one part (South Point?) near Typhoon Lagoon that you can hear at OKW when there are late night events there. We did Turtle Creek and liked that area.

Had a great weekend at my reunion, but unfortunately it had to end and I had to drive back yesterday afternoon to rejoin the rat race. Someone decided to schedule a 3 hr meeting on what I had planned as a day off (today) and it covers 3 of my 5 projects. I was not a happy dad.

Still have not got the A/C fixed in the wife's car. Waited a week on parts and the dealer couldn't give me a status other than waiting on the truck. So I cancelled them. A/C is still working at this point, not sure what we are going to do.

get a call from my wife today about 11am, says her drivers side window on her 02 Dodge Grand Caravan went down by itself and she can't get it up, get home around 4 and look at it, motor is working but you can hear the wire is broke, time to rip the door apart, the wire was broke and all over, went to Auto Zone and they had the part, needed a Motor & Regulator assembly, So around 5 I'm ripping everything apart, let me tell you its a real pita Took about a hour and a half (not bad for a Ford guy) Happy to say everything is working and job is finished, Never did that type of assembly and hope I never have to again

We just finished up our birthday/anniversary bbq about an hour ago. Some nice planked salmon, lemon chicken and maple-garlic sausage topped of with some great salads and a few cold beer. Man I'm full!!

Hey guys.. hope you had a good weekend. Our 2 day trip on the Magic is over... our first taste of Disney cruising. I ended up booking another cruise while onboard. I don't think we will be going on the date that I booked but I did get 10% off, a $100 shipboard credit, and only had to pay a 10% deposit instead of 20%. I think we won't be cruising till DS is at least 3-4.

Looks great. DW thinks I will love our cruise that I'll book another while there. We will see.

Ford guys are usually pretty good at getting things fixed quick. Comes from lots of practice.

I don’t think there’s one in Indiana, Cincinnati would be the next closest.

Now, one of their parks happens to be just five minutes from my front door, but I don’t suspect that y’all will be much interested in driving all the way down to the North/South Carolina boarder just for that.

Yep, about 90 mi away from Kings Island. Love that park. Rarely ever get there anymore.
