Hey guys.. hope you had a good weekend. Our 2 day trip on the Magic is over... our first taste of Disney cruising. I ended up booking another cruise while onboard. I don't think we will be going on the date that I booked but I did get 10% off, a $100 shipboard credit, and only had to pay a 10% deposit instead of 20%. I think we won't be cruising till DS is at least 3-4.

Here are a few teaser pics (taken with my cell).. I have to DL the pics from my camera.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKES WIFE!!!

Evening guys! Happy birthdays to Mrs Dave and Mrs mike as well!

Hey guys,

Happy Birthday to Mrs. Zerf and Mrs. Mike.

Happy Birthday to the DWs!

Thanks for the Birthday wishes for DW. I showed her the Birthday post from Randall as she headed to bed. She appreciated the sentiments as well (I think her exact words were "That's Crazy", but she was smiling as she said it). While she totally supports and shares in my Disney obsession, she still struggles a bit with my DisDad habit. :confused3

get a call from my wife today about 11am, says her drivers side window on her 02 Dodge Grand Caravan went down by itself and she can't get it up:crazy2:, get home around 4 and look at it, motor is working but you can hear the wire is broke, time to rip the door apart, the wire was broke and all over, went to Auto Zone and they had the part, needed a Motor & Regulator assembly, So around 5 I'm ripping everything apart, let me tell you its a real pita:scared: Took about a hour and a half (not bad for a Ford guy:thumbsup2) Happy to say everything is working and job is finished:thumbsup2, Never did that type of assembly and hope I never have to again

Ford guys are usually pretty good at getting things fixed quick. Comes from lots of practice. :rotfl:

Bazinga!

Smart move booking the next one while on board. You will be back. Once you've cruised Disney, it's in your blood and on your mind. (Wish that I had been smart on our last cruise):(

Morning Guys!

Had a great weekend at my 20 yr reunion, but unfortunately it had to end and I had to drive back yesterday afternoon to rejoin the rat race. Someone decided to schedule a 3 hr meeting on what I had planned as a day off (today) and it covers 3 of my 5 projects. I was not a happy dad.

Still have not got the A/C fixed in the wife's car. Waited a week on parts and the dealer couldn't give me a status other than waiting on the truck. So I cancelled them. A/C is still working at this point, not sure what we are going to do.

Sweet. Probably just saved yourself $500.

It's Miller time.
::yes::

That lineup has made me want to go back now...to the point of checking airline prices.....alas...no vacation time left after the trip to Hilton Head for Shari! Uuuugh!!!
LOL...

Yea, I'm thinking 2014-2015. Wow, that seems like a long time from now. :scared:

Id love to but I think id be in divorce court when I got home!! :lmao:
I think people get paid to be on that show. It could help make your divorce less painful in the wallet. :scratchin

Awesome pics Tim:thumbsup2 Are those kegs of beer in that pic:lmao:
LOL... I was drinking a lot of Kona Longboard while on the ship.

Those are emergency rafts.. in case you really didn't know. :rotfl2:

My DW is the same way. She is addicted to Disney as all of us but she doesn't get the DIS. :rolleyes2

Let the waiting begin. I know we have to take the 4 day at minimum. The 2 day was a major tease. :upsidedow

:thumbsup2 Good job! Had to replace both front regulators and motors in the Honda Accord a few months ago. It was surprisingly easy :scratchin Much easier than when they would pop-rivet them in! :lmao:

Been a busy weekend getting ready for vacation bible school this week. This is the first time we are doing VBS in the evening and there is a lot going on. Should be a good time for involved, though.

Happy belated birthday wishes to Mike and Dave's wives :wave2:

Welcome back from the cruise, Tim! I've been putting of cruising simply because I know I would LOVE it... but not sure how DW and DD would feel about it. Some day. Some day.

I always hate tearing into doors. Every time I've done anything with a window or door lock mechanism it has always been a huge PITA. Hour and a half ain't bad at all. :thumbsup2

I've got to say, it seems kind of odd seeing a DCL ship and the NYC skyline together. :rotfl2: I'm glad you had a good time!:thumbsup2

I wonder why, Goose? :confused3

Well maybe you can tell me also in your words, is a T2i worth picking up if I can get one with an 18-55mm for 250.00 Slightly used. I know 18-55mm is a pretty much crap lens. I will buy a 18-200mm for it perhaps.

Donald

Can't help you with the T2!, I have the Rebel EG and before that I had the Rebel G film version. I have never had any problems with either.

The XS came with the 18-55 mm but I usually use an older 25-80 that I had. I also bought the 70-300 mm without the image stabilization to have as well. Both have served me well.

Good Morning everybody. With that new DIS iPhone app, it's a lot easier to keep up. Every night as I'm giving DS his bedtime bottle I can just scroll through and see what every one is up to. But it's hard enough to type with 2 thumbs, so trying to do it with just one is about impossible. So let's see if I can remember what I wanted to say....

Brian & Scott - Le Cellier looks like a good time! :thumbsup2

Paul (I think) - to multiquote on the app, scroll to the top of a user's post, the tap the little blue "v" on the right side of the screen. A bar will appear, and the left side of it will be a white square. Tap that to put a check mark in it. The header line of the post will turn yellow. Repeat for each post you want to multiquote. Then tap the little square/arrow button at the top of the page. One of the options will be to Multiquote Reply.

Ron - Nice work on the power windows. I've had to replace a few of them on my van. Yesterday was worse though - we were just getting packed up and ready to head out and go to lunch and run some errands. A small coolant drip had turned into more of a coolant flow. :headache: Luckily, Autozone is only a block away, so I got some hose and just over an hour later we're on the road. And yes, if anyone remembers last summer's trip report, this is the same repair I had to do while sitting at my in-law's carport.

I use mine both above and under water so have not invested in a DSLR. The housings alone can be a couple of grand or more. Plus underwater cameras have a tendency to become disposable cameras. Ask my daughter.

Since she lost mine, I bought a G12. Point and shoot but also full manual mode. Plus it shoots video with just a flip of a knob. Loved the Cannons I owned. Both cameras and housings. Heard good things about the T2i but haven't played with one.

I downloaded a couple of videos along with most of the bazillion pics I took on the vacation. Here is one taken with the above mentioned camera during our Manta Ray night dive. Magnificent animals. There were about 20-25 of them swimming around us. They measured 11-15 feet across. Coolest dive I have done.

Awesome Video...

Isn't that how Steve Irwin died? :scared1:

Very cool Ron... saved yourself some major repair shop labour charges.
