Have you not seen Wipeout on ABC? I love that show. Plus there's the reboot of Dallas. I've also watched a little of The Great Escape on TNT. My friend and I are applying to get on that show.

We've also started getting these videos put out by Disney Imagineering that explain the science of different topics (gravity, friction, Newton's laws, etc.) that go in to making the attractions at the parks. Cool and educational.

Where did you get those video's they sound great?

A colleague just poked his head into my office to ask if I had seen the free dining promotions. He's got an 18 day split stay between AoA and Pop that he's shifting to take advantage of it.

I'm not sure what I'd do with more than half a month at Disney... but it's certainly a problem I wouldn't mind having.

I like Burn Notice, but has anyone confirmed the spy commentary with Fed?

Burn Notice is fantastic. I'm always looking forward to the next season when it isn't airing new episodes. Now, I'm looking forward to Fiona getting out of prison so she doesn't have to wear those baggy prison uniforms all the time.

Cough, Cough. I did call out sick yesterday! Had a blast out in the surf with Emma as she had her last day at surfing camp. It was, however, a dangerous day to be surfing. Red flags were out... had 20 mph winds coming off shore... and 6 foot waves that were giving me a run for my money. Emma really enjoyed it... so I think now I'll be looking to get a soft-top board soon. Heck, I may even give it a shot! (Queue up the music to Hawaii Five-O)

Surfing camp sounds like a fantasy page from CJ's vacation life.

Guilty Pleasure! DW and I watch Big Brother too. It's 3 hours of TV a week where we don't have to think to follow a story and can just sit there and root for people to start throwing fists.

We like Hell's Kitchen - donkey. I so want to try the scallop appetizer, lobster risotto, and beef Wellington. All 3 look great.

Yes, but on Springer you only get 30 minutes of crazy. On Big Brother, you get to watch them go from "relatively normal" and slowly slide into "bat s*** crazy" over the course of 2 1/2 months.

DW and DS watched Wipeout that the first couple of seasons, but have since gotten over it. I couldn’t get thought the first episode… the humor was just a might too hateful for me, and apparently dignity is a commodity that many folks don’t hold in much esteem.

Dallas… I ignored that one in the 80’s… there’s no sense in ruining my perfect record now.

As for Great Escape, I know what it is but haven’t watched, but if make it onto an episode, let us know.

There are very few shows i would ever want to be on, but The Great Escape is one of them. It's over and done in a day and three teams compete for $100,000. To me that means it's a 33% chance of landing a DVC contract!

The videos are at my library. I originally thought they were for ages 5-8 which would be perfect for us. Actually they are for grades 5-8. So i have to stop it every minute or two to explain stuff, but it's still fun. They're about 25 minutes each. Our library has about a dozen.

I'm without a computer this am...our IT dept SUCKS! Just told my boss (& he couldn't argue) that I'm leaving early (before lunch) & not coming in tomorrow either (& not using vacation time for this). What a pain! I'm so behind on grants and papers!

Most of those IT people just play on DisDads all day.

I'm super excited about it, but for some reason normal people don't seem to get a grown man being excited about 6 Disney trips in a 12 month period.

Speaking of Disney news; we received our cruise planning video yesterday and watched it yesterday. Even though we are already booked it was cool to watch the video. We usually get the park planning video when we have a trip scheduled so it only seemed natural to get the cruise video.

There was a section on Aulani on the DVD and it looks awesome!!! I'm jealous of the Dads that have been there are are getting to go. Hawaii would be a HUGE trip for us.

My reaction to Wipeout is similar to Rob's. It was amusing at first, but got old. And the canned banter of the hosts drove me nuts.

Yeah... Dallas actually isn't half bad. Better than my expectations, although they were rather low.

You can't go wrong with Wipeout either. If it can make DW laugh out loud when somebody gets their face rearranged by one of the big balls then it has to be quality television.

I watch Burn Notice, Leverage and Ice Road Truckers in the summer months, and I've been watching Shark Wranglers this year... very interesting.

I have heard good things about Burn Notice, and I like Bruce Campbell, but I've never seen it. I think I get to a point where I can only follow so many shows.

No, DW not signed off yet. Clearly, not more money than Tom. But, those child support payments should take care of that. Most of you would contend I am clearly not in touch with reality. Thus, given these facts, it appears I have a 33% chance at Katie Holmes.

I checked our libraries site and it doesn't have them. I'll probably check and see if I can find them used.

If you want to get a VC to find you'd really need to find ways to tie it to Mobile, Social and Big Data as that's where a lot of the funding is coming from.

I think a good pitch would be to say that you want to build and market a portable mobile hotspot that can be leveraged by its owner to capture and track users social data and text messages so that you can aggregate that data. You'd leverage this "big data" in a high performance analytics tool to create a segmented database for remarketing purposes. The target market would be for organizations that have a large number of repeat visitors. The ideal customers would likely be theme parks so you'd need to test it in great deal at WDW, DL and other them parks for an extended time.

Yesterday, before my 205 miles driven home, I had my meaningless evaluation. Copy/paste worked. I had my Disney tunes on during the eval, so I little more enjoyable. My boss has only been once, but really enjoyed it the last time he went, so did not object.

Spent the day unpacking and reorganizing here at the office. The dds went to the wave pool today (lot smaller scale than Holiday World or Typhoon Lagoon). I am going to do my travel voucher, go pick them up, and call it for the week. I am enjoying these 3 day weekends and may try to make them permanent. A coworker gave me some homegrown tomatoes. Think I'll pick up some bacon for sandwiches.

Last regular season softball game is tonight. They should be league champs already (undefeated). Tournament starts Saturday.

Afternoon, dads!

Grocery shopping is done (after evicting the contents of the fridge - thought I had cleaned it out better before we left. I was wrong.) Have started watering the desert that is our lawn, and spent a fair amount of time watering the flowers. (we had someone watering them, and she did a decent job, but that 100+ heat did a number of them.)

Trying to do some cleaning, putting stuff away, and will have to shut off the sprinklers soon in order to do some laundry. Today and tomorrow are busy days.
