::yes:: I've looked into it for our family too, and it's incredibly expensive no matter what you do. I like getting these DVD's just to daydream. And there's nothing on TV in the summer anyway.

Have you not seen Wipeout on ABC? I love that show. Plus there's the reboot of Dallas. I've also watched a little of The Great Escape on TNT. My friend and I are applying to get on that show.

We've also started getting these videos put out by Disney Imagineering that explain the science of different topics (gravity, friction, Newton's laws, etc.) that go in to making the attractions at the parks. Cool and educational.

Yeah... Dallas actually isn't half bad. Better than my expectations, although they were rather low.

You can't go wrong with Wipeout either. If it can make DW laugh out loud when somebody gets their face rearranged by one of the big balls then it has to be quality television.

I watch Burn Notice, Leverage and Ice Road Truckers in the summer months, and I've been watching Shark Wranglers this year... very interesting.

I have to admit, DW and I also watch Big Brother every summer. I know, it is essentially TV garbage, but it's something we enjoy watching together and making fun of the people on the show. :rotfl2::lmao:

Big Wipeout fan as well. Been watching Burn Notice since the beginning. Really, I'll watch Bruce Campbell in anything. He's hilarious! Watched the first two seasons of Leverage. Didn't pay off for me so stopped.

Burn Notice is fantastic. I'm always looking forward to the next season when it isn't airing new episodes. Now, I'm looking forward to Fiona getting out of prison so she doesn't have to wear those baggy prison uniforms all the time. :rotfl2:

Leverage definitely isn't the greatest show on TV and most of the schemes are extremely far fetched, but I still find myself watching it. :confused3
It did seem like they were at least starting to develop the characters a little bit more last season.

Emma's Dad (Don) has put a lot of Great information on page 1, including Vacation dates when and where we are going, our birthdays, what state/country we live in, and much much more.

The birthday post is where I get my information for my Happy Birthday posts, and I look to see who else will be at WDW when I go, for a meet up.

If you would like to have Don post your information, please PM Don and let him know and he will add it in (don't know if he'll be happy about it, but he'll do it). :lmao:

Thanks for the PSA, Randall. :thumbsup2 On that note... due to the increase in requests, I will be raising the yearly DDC dues. You will receive the official notice in the mail shortly. :smokin:

I think I heard that is was going to be sick today. Warm thoughts going out to him to get better soon. :rotfl:

Cough, Cough. :lmao: I did call out sick yesterday! Had a blast out in the surf with Emma as she had her last day at surfing camp. It was, however, a dangerous day to be surfing. Red flags were out... had 20 mph winds coming off shore... and 6 foot waves that were giving me a run for my money. Emma really enjoyed it... so I think now I'll be looking to get a soft-top board soon. Heck, I may even give it a shot! (Queue up the music to Hawaii Five-O) :rolleyes1

Paul and I are meeting for lunch! Despite Paul's offer to pay, Thursday is our MK day. How about lunch at the Crystal Palace at 1pm. Who's in?

Our flight gets in at 10:05. Might be able to make that happen! We have yet to eat there.

text him, call him, send rockets!!!:lmao::lmao:

:rotfl2::lmao: The rockets will definitely get my attention!

Morning folks....

Happy Birthday Seth!!

Oh boy, am I feeling the after effects of the double shift this morning. :faint:

On the plus, only a half-day today, 4 hours will just zip by...got a lot of little odd-jobs to do before the cabin.

I also kind of hope the boss got into a bit of trouble today, since the Health-Safety meting held today did NOT include the store's H&S rep :rolleyes1. heh.

I was thinking of a different theme song for you. One that actually shares the name of a TV show we were discussing earlier. :rolleyes1

That's good use of a sick day though. I'm glad Emma enjoyed surf camp and hopefully the 2 of you will have a nice hobby to enjoy together now! :thumbsup2

Have you not seen Wipeout on ABC?
Spike TV a few years ago showed the "original" Japanese version. They called it "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge." It was a re-edit of a Japanese show called Takeshi's Castle. They invented crazy story lines, gave the contestants outlandish names and dubbed in some very .... interesting...dialog.

I have to admit, DW and I also watch Big Brother every summer. I know, it is essentially TV garbage, but it's something we enjoy watching together and making fun of the people on the show. :rotfl2::lmao:
Guilty Pleasure! DW and I watch Big Brother too. It's 3 hours of TV a week where we don't have to think to follow a story and can just sit there and root for people to start throwing fists. :thumbsup2

DW and DS watched Wipeout that the first couple of seasons, but have since gotten over it. I couldn’t get thought the first episode… the humor was just a might too hateful for me, and apparently dignity is a commodity that many folks don’t hold in much esteem.

Dallas… I ignored that one in the 80’s… there’s no sense in ruining my perfect record now.

As for Great Escape, I know what it is but haven’t watched, but if make it onto an episode, let us know.

We've also started getting these videos put out by Disney Imagineering that explain the science of different topics (gravity, friction, Newton's laws, etc.) that go in to making the attractions at the parks. Cool and educational.

This however sounds very entertaining.
Where would I find such?

I was a fan of this one from the first episode as well, but it’s starting to show it’s age for me. I’m in the take it or leave it camp now. But that’s normal. I generally get to where I’ll give up on a series about two or three years before everyone else does. That’s happened more times then I can count.

I sent my dues using the same mail service everyone uses to send Norm stuff.

Snail Mail has now been replaced by Fossil Mail.
It’ll be a while before that bit of correspondence reaches it’s destination.

Lunch time! Rice, beans and peanut butter fudge.

Yummmm….
Good call sir.

Nicely done sir.

Or you could just watch Jerry Springer. That’s on every day.
Just sayin’
:rolleyes1.
