The Pirate Princess is jumping up and down in the room screaming, "NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO over and over again. Excuse me, I have to go join her.

It wouldn't be checkout time and return to life would it?

Video or it didn't happen.

Today is DS (Seth) birthday... 8 Years Old today... :cake:

Tell Seth that Mickey was at Disneyland today and when I saw him he wanted me to make sure to wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. He also said that he can't wait to see him again on his next visit.

"Normal" people need not be bothered with this stuff. Their aspirations are for a bigger house or nicer car. Us? We aspire to catch up to Stopher or Zerfs on Disney trips.

Amen Chris. Amen.

I sent my dues using the same mail service everyone uses to send Norm stuff.

I don't know what is going on but Norm hasn't gotten anything I sent him. Feel bad about him sitting by the mailbox all day waiting while the Post Office messes around. Sorry Norm.

Well, I don't think I will become a pirate on the high seas, but after a four day bender, who knows.

After you take over the ship, remember to pick me up on my raft. Would make a good movie.

Close. We will be out of the room at 11 am tomorrow.

Video or it didn't happen.

Was going to tape it but the memory chip was full. I actually took 432 pictures/videos today. No lie.

Will you mail me a consolation present?

.

You bet.

its foolproof.

Saavy. Since the plan is full of fools, we need something with a strong proof to pull it off. Thanks for the vote of confidence.

On vacation now. All is right with the world.

Have a great trip.

I can't see where we would fail in our attempt.

Me neither. So, do we have an accord? I wonder how many POTC sayings I can include in various posts.

Have a great trip.

Thanks. Lots to do before we leave Sat. Laundry, packing, gotta get Amelia from the in-laws and got to endure a physical tomorrow, that should go over well, haven't seen the doc since last summer :guilty: and I am definetly not in the best of shapes since then.:sad2:

Good night guys. Going to bed after tons of yard work, cleaning house, and rum.

Morning Folks...

Today is DS (Seth) birthday... 8 Years Old today... :cake:

Happy Birthday, Seth!! Hope it was a good one!!

Morning guys!

Came in late this morning due to anal glaucoma. Today is my Friday, taking tomorrow off to drive to West Virginia for my 20 yr High School Reunion. I had planned on taking Monday off as well, but they scheduled a 3 hr meeting that afternoon for several projects that I am a key player in. Go figure.

I was able to skip out on my 2 O'clock meeting yesterday, and it was reasonably justified, which always makes it better.

You guys have a good day today!

Matt

it's very late. I am too tired to try and figure out if anal glaucoma is an actual medical condition, or one of those medical sounding terms for something like having your head up your own rear end.... I will err on the side of caution and say, hope you're feeling better.

So its been crazy around the Trike house. It looks like this is gonna be a big Disney year for us. We have a trip booked in September (thanks Mark) to go down with my SIL and there youngens. My uncle has been a long time DVC member with a ton of points. He's decided to blow a lot of them this year on a couple Grand Villa's at SSR for a long weekend in Oct so we're gonna go down for that. We also booked a trip for Marathon/DDC in January. The plan is to exchange our September park passes for anual passes. Once we do that my goal is to convince DW to run the Princess Half in Feb and then Run Everest in May with DS.

I'm super excited about it, but for some reason normal people don't seem to get a grown man being excited about 6 Disney trips in a 12 month period.

That is just phenomenal!! Awesome!!!

Yeah, umm... that's gonna need a second coat.

I did two coats on the first half back when I painted it a few weeks ago. Or was that a few months ago?? Laid it on nice and thick in one pass for the other half, and it looks pretty good. Pulled up the tape and see some touching up needs, as well as one hole that I spackled and couldn't wait for it to dry... so a small square there still to paint. Maybe I'll get to that after we get back from vacation. :rolleyes1

Happy to see there are other people who stretch out home projects to make sure the job is done right! :goodvibes!

Hey, anything worth doing is also worth putting off.

Speaking of Disney news; we received our cruise planning video yesterday and watched it yesterday. Even though we are already booked it was cool to watch the video. We usually get the park planning video when we have a trip scheduled so it only seemed natural to get the cruise video.

There was a section on Aulani on the DVD and it looks awesome!!! I'm jealous of the Dads that have been there are are getting to go. Hawaii would be a HUGE trip for us.

I don't think I ever received those videos I requested. :headache:

I think the problem with doing a lot of short trips (Yeah I know. That's a first world problem) is that we wind up spending more time doing e-ticket rides. We are always so excited about being there and doing them that we don't get time to experience all the little things that make Disney so awesome. For example, it was like our 5th trip before we made it to Tom Sawyer's island.

a nice long trip would be great for kicking back and doing a lot of the little things or the overlooked things. On the other hand, spreading out short trips would allow you to see more of the seasonal things. So the question is, one long trip? or several short trips that allow you to do MNSSHP, MVMCP, F&W or SWW??? that's a tough call.

Have you not seen Wipeout on ABC? I love that show. Plus there's the reboot of Dallas. I've also watched a little of The Great Escape on TNT. My friend and I are applying to get on that show.

We've also started getting these videos put out by Disney Imagineering that explain the science of different topics (gravity, friction, Newton's laws, etc.) that go in to making the attractions at the parks. Cool and educational.

DD loves wipeout.

This is a pic of Hunter & The Imagination Movers at their Meet & Greet at Sesame Place yesterday:cool1:, notice how No one else is around:confused3, could have something to do with the fact we were 1st in line:thumbsup2, We also got front row seats:banana:

They put on a GREAT show, Would go and see them again, had a fun time:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 We saw them as part of the block party tour Disney did a few years ago. They were great!

Spike TV a few years ago showed the "original" Japanese version. They called it "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge." It was a re-edit of a Japanese show called Takeshi's Castle. They invented crazy story lines, gave the contestants outlandish names and dubbed in some very .... interesting...dialog.

I loved watching that!! hysterical!!

Gah...Amelia is being dropped off around noon tomorrow. I forgot to load up a digital picture frame for MIL. Spent a couple of hours prepping it, then accidently removed it mid-loading. Had to re-do the whole thing.:sad2: Now after 2 just getting it done. No time in AM with doctor and dropping Audrey off for her last day of daycare. Oh well, can sleep up north. :thumbsup2

Good morning guys and TGIF!

Morning, David!

Another great podcast recording last night!

Also spent about 3 hours sorting through more than 3000 photos from our last trip! Figured I needed to get the photo book together since we're already actively planning our next trip!

Good morning Gents!

I took the day off and i am going to spend the day with the family in lovely St Andrews by the Sea.

The one on NB not Scotland.

Have a great Friday everyone!

Yo ho ho and a bottle of.... water? Too early for rum today so water it is.

Been going over numbers this week for two trips to the World next year. I do NOT like how prices are creeping up faster and faster. But that's the economy we are in now. Have a feeling it will get much worse before it gets better. That reminds me... there was an article in our local paper about how our local farmers could benefit from the poor corn crops out West. Really, really sucks that so many crops are being lost out there!

In other news, I've been trying to set a time to test drive a 99 Cadillac Deville to see how I like it. Found the car on Craigslist last week. Not sure why I've been fixated on finding a luxury car to drive, but I'm hoping once I drive the tank around I'll quickly get rid of the "grandpa" feeling! :rotfl2:

I do believe that would be the appropriate response for your situation. After you're done doing that, make sure to barricade the door.:thumbsup2

Really? :confused3

Good (and accurate) article. When one area struggles, there's always someone else that can benefit from it... just the way agriculture works. The only thing is they might not get it from a cash standpoint. Just about everything out there ends up at Perdue. They might kill the basis, just because they can.

Gold spinners should take care of that! :thumbsup2
