Mornin' Guys!

Happy Birthday Seth! Have fun spending it without your parents!!! :rotfl2:

‘Morning all…

Ya’ know…
This right here is actually a good thing to run across early in the morning:

One of the things the kid wanted to do was go to the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. They had a rock band featuring The Mad Hatter and Alice. She is more "mature" than WDW's Alice. Thought you would enjoy the pic.

IMG_1544.jpg

That’s not the way she was drawn when I was a young’en,
but I like the update.

APB to everyone headed to Carsland tonight or tomorrow. Rode Racers today and it was mediocre at best. No need to stop by there. Not worth waiting for more than 10 minutes. If it is more than that I suggest skipping it and doing the Zephyr instead.

If you are not headed to Carsland tonight or tomorrow, the ride is awesome. More than exceeds the hype.

Stealthy…
And nicely done sir.

I hear Katie Holmes is single. Think I have a chance?

Depends…
First, has DW signed off on that one?
Second, are you richer the Tom or even less in touch with reality?
She seems to be drawn to those two traits.

I'm shocked the job creators don't care.

Job creators?

:lmao: :rotfl2:

Maybe in places like India, China and throughout the third world.

Why is the rum always gone?

it's because I drank it.

Mystery solved.
:magnify:

Unloading the minivan. Probably the worst part of any trip. At least it is done and you can move onto laundry.

:crazy2:

Hey Seth! (Brian's Son)

Agreed!

:bday:

Hope it’s a fine birthday all around for the young man.

Evening/Morning/whatever folks....

It was a long day, but impressive. Worked from 8:30am to 10:50pm, just a 15 minute break and a 1/2 hour lunch. Bit tired now.

Me and a co-worker got 20 skids done in 4 hours, shocking everyone. Boss actually had things running smooth, so that helped. Too bad domestic beer didn't show till 5pm, had to do that one myself. Got lots accomplished though, we're all caught up.

DW doesn't care if I have it or not. I'll likely grow it back some day, when I feel like a change.

Seen enough beer today to last me until tomorrow. :lmao: For my 4 hour shift tomorrow got to order more beer for next week, and set up two staff tasting sessions. Supposed to set up one on a Gin too:crazy2: not a fan of gin though, but not given a whole lot of options...

Buffalo Trace in the past couple of weeks has been a hot seller at my store :confused3 went from sitting on cases to running out like that pixiedust: Wonder if it won an award so something like that for the sudden rush. We have some Old Forrester left I think, competes with Wild Turkey and Corner Creek in seeing which American Whiskey can sit there the longest. :rotfl2:

Impressive!

Happy Birthday Seth!

I'm without a computer this am...our IT dept SUCKS! Just told my boss (& he couldn't argue) that I'm leaving early (before lunch) & not coming in tomorrow either (& not using vacation time for this). What a pain! I'm so behind on grants and papers!

So its been crazy around the Trike house. It looks like this is gonna be a big Disney year for us. We have a trip booked in September (thanks Mark) to go down with my SIL and there youngens. My uncle has been a long time DVC member with a ton of points. He's decided to blow a lot of them this year on a couple Grand Villa's at SSR for a long weekend in Oct so we're gonna go down for that. We also booked a trip for Marathon/DDC in January. The plan is to exchange our September park passes for anual passes. Once we do that my goal is to convince DW to run the Princess Half in Feb and then Run Everest in May with DS.

I'm super excited about it, but for some reason normal people don't seem to get a grown man being excited about 6 Disney trips in a 12 month period.

Morning all and Happy Friday! These long days four days a week kinda suck but having a three day weekend is Very Cool. I could get used to Summer hours all year round. :thumbsup2

Came in late this morning due to anal glaucoma.

 Haven't seen that phrase used in a while!

Happy Birthday to Seth!

Hey gang! Fell behind... again. Life sure can be funny that way. :lmao:

finally painted the other half of our family room today. a few touchups are needed, but it's close to being done. It's only taken a little over 2 years!
Yeah, umm... that's gonna need a second coat.

"Normal" people need not be bothered with this stuff. Their aspirations are for a bigger house or nicer car. Us? We aspire to catch up to Stopher or Zerfs on Disney trips.

Long day today.

12 hour day today with 205 driving miles. I am tired. Drove straight to youngest dds softball game. They won. She hit a single, scored off a hit a throwing error, and fielded a ball at SS and tagged out runner. It was a good game.

Caught up on the posts, drank my Woodford Reserve, and am heading off to bed.

Sounds like it was a great game!

Now I need to put up a shelf over the computer desk, hang and fill picture frames, put doors over the bar to hide it, and eventually reface the fireplace in a faux stone to replace the ugly red bricks.

add a plant or two and I think it will finally be done!

trip is coming up fast, it's technically Thursday, so that means...

17 more days!!

:cool1:

Happy to see there are other people who stretch out home projects to make sure the job is done right! :goodvibes

Morning Folks...

Today is DS (Seth) birthday... 8 Years Old today... :cake:

Happy Birthday Seth!

Speaking of Disney news; we received our cruise planning video yesterday and watched it yesterday. Even though we are already booked it was cool to watch the video. We usually get the park planning video when we have a trip scheduled so it only seemed natural to get the cruise video.

There was a section on Aulani on the DVD and it looks awesome!!! I'm jealous of the Dads that have been there are are getting to go. Hawaii would be a HUGE trip for us.

Yeah I'm still trying to get "catch up to DVCZerfs" as an MBO for work. Unfortunately due to school/work constraints we usually wind up doing 4 day trips. It would be nice to one day to and 8 day + trip.

I don't mind the 4-day trip so much - especially if I'm flying. Adding a day on each end to drive is only tolerable for the longer trips in my opinion.

I hate normal people. You, sir, are a lucky bas***d. :thumbsup2

Two of our driving trips (21+ hours each way, straight through) were for 2 week trips. One time we drove for a week trip - and yes, it wasn't nearly as fun.

I'm not sure what that is but it sounds really unpleasant.

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: I'm glad somebody else asked.

I suppose that's why you post announcements like that here.

::yes:: I've looked into it for our family too, and it's incredibly expensive no matter what you do. I like getting these DVD's just to daydream. And there's nothing on TV in the summer anyway.

We are only about a 10 hour drive away. In May we drove down on Thursday and back on Monday. It's not exactly pleasant for a 4 day trip, but it is doable.

I was talking with my Pastor and at one point he mentioned to me "Geof is like a Disney fanatic he goes there every year." I had to chuckle to myself when he said that.

We have a collection of the DVC, DCL and Disney Parks videos. We also like the Undiscovered Disney (I think that's what they are called) videos on Netflix.

I think the problem with doing a lot of short trips (Yeah I know. That's a first world problem) is that we wind up spending more time doing e-ticket rides. We are always so excited about being there and doing them that we don't get time to experience all the little things that make Disney so awesome. For example, it was like our 5th trip before we made it to Tom Sawyer's island.
