Yah… slight would be the word. ;)
Here’s how that happened. We spent all of Thursday (and I mean all of it) at the UD Arena and when all was said and done, our kids had made it into the finals but… they wouldn’t be performing again until Friday night. Now we had all day to get into something.

Friday also just happened to be our 21st wedding anniversary. :flower3: That combined with the fact that DW really wanted to see the RnRHoF at some time, combined with the fact that we’d probably not be anywhere near this close to Cleveland again any time in the future…
Well, it just seemed like a good time for a drive.
:car:

We got up early, made it up there in a bit over three hours, spent about four hours on the Lake Erie water front, and made it back to Dayton just as the finals were cranking up (where our kids ended up finishing in sixth place nationally). All in all, a very good day (tiring, but very good)

Very cool! I have yet to make it to the RnRHoF... even though I am from Canton originally. Sorry to hear about not making it to the World this year. Major bummer.

Went to Hunters 1st game today, since it is T-Ball there is no score and everyone wins:thumbsup2

But let me tell you watching a bunch of 5-7 yr olds playing ball is quite funny:lmao: It was like watching a comedy, but they all did pretty good:cool1:

I'm coaching my boy's t-ball team. Yeah it can be funny at times. They understand what to do on offense, but defensive responsibilities are another matter. Consider this play:
  1. Nathan is playing first base
  2. Ground ball to pitcher who throws it to Nathan (my son)
  3. Nathan picks up the ball and spikes it on first base like he just scored a touchdown
It was then that I realized we always tell them to throw it to first. So actually he was just doing what he was told. Other than that, they're usually just drawing pictures in the dirt.

My DS was born at just two minutes before five (and had to be evicted as well)
Hope everything goes well and we’re all waiting to hear good news.

That does sound like a good trip.

Sorry you're not able to make it to the world this year. We're taking a quick trip next weekend with just 1 park day. Woohoo 20+ hours of driving for 1 park day and one resort day. You can stow away in our minivan if you want to come. I do need to warn you the kids will be watch the first season of Full House on the way down and the first Season of Boy Meets World on the way back.

Bravo sir.

So is now not a good time to join in on it?

Now may be the best time to join in.

Thanks guys. I tried every way possible to make it happen but at this point I just can’t justify a lengthy trip anywhere this summer much less The World (not even if I were to stowaway). But, next year my boy graduates from high school, and were seriously considering a celebratory cruise of some type. Since I can’t see Disney this year, I may need to save up my pennies and upgrade that cruise to a DCL version next summer.

Or maybe I need to save those pennies for tuition… :sad2:
Ehhh…. We’ll see how it goes.

My name is Daniel and I too am addicted to DW. I love taking my entire family to Disney, started doing it in 2006, and will continue to do so. My wife and I plan to retire from our professions after our boys grow up, move to Florida, and get jobs at DW.
My wife and I also have spent two of our last three anniversaries at DW and plan to take a Disney Cruise next year for our 25th.
We are just three long months away from returning to DW with the entire Ginger family including: my wife, 5 sons, 2 of my boys girlfriends, and first grandson. Its going to be a blast to introduce Disney to my grandson (2yoa) and his mom who has never, ever been at DW.
I believe that I am a total DIS dad and would like the privilege to become one of its distinctive members. :mickeyjum:donald:

Huh? What?

I must of been gone for a while!

:lmao::lmao: That's what Princess Aurora said...

Sucks having to be the grown up. :lmao:Ooooooo... my vote is for the cruise. :thumbsup2

Crud, that means I have to get mine done.

Been a long time since I've been around here. I've been doing the same thing. Planning 2 Disney trips actually. One to DL and one to WDW. Been hanging out on the DL boards since it's been a long time since I've been there.
