DIS Dads DDC XVIII - Spring Fever!

Some of you might recall last year when the family from our church was in an accident and the Dad was killed and two of the kids serioulsy injured. Well, I thought I might show you what a difference a year makes. Here is a picture of Allison last night at her Prom during the Grand March with her date.

Hey guys! Great day I had today. Slept in til 9:00 am! Then had DD's soccer game from 11-12... then played 18 holes of golf... again! And the kicker tonight is the fact that DD is having a sleepover... at a friend's house!

So... that leaves just DW and me... sitting on the couch... watching Wedding Singer and having a night cap. Kids close your eyes for what's next....

Hey Guys...Thanks goodness it is the weekend. Last night Ethans team won their second game 17-7. WooHoo...last year they did not win a single game and this year they are on a roll so far!!

Got a call from the doc and they have managed to get him scheduled for his surgery on his ears next Friday, so hopefully by this time next week we will be over the hump.

Tomorrow morning is baseball pictures and game three at 10am. Then at 1 the scouts are having judging for an "all male cake bake" We did not do anything like that when I was in scouts so must be something new they have come up win the past 40 years LOL Here is a picture of our cake. I can't post it on facebook yet because I dont want my excuse me our competition to see what we have in the stables for them

Sounds similar to my day yesterday. We were both asleep by 10. Did get to watch Old School. I couldn't bring back Frank the Tank at my age.

Hi There. Good luck on losing weight. I am down 20 pounds since Jan 1. I am now 5 pounds away from my goal, but it is getting tougher to lose those pounds now. Thanks.

Survived my DD's Sleepover part, just finished making pancakes with chocolate chips and strawberries.

So one of her friends had a Pluto pillow from Disneyland.

I asked her if she had been there. Turns out she used to live in California.

She has been there many times, she is not even 10 yet... She was telling me about a bunch of her favorite attractions in a lot of detail.

I hate her!

Survived my DD's Sleepover part, just finished making pancakes with chocolate chips and strawberries.

So one of her friends had a Pluto pillow from Disneyland.

I asked her if she had been there. Turns out she used to live in California.

She has been there many times, she is not even 10 yet... She was telling me about a bunch of her favorite attractions in a lot of detail.

I hate her!

My youngest dd has that pillow from WDW. Hating children? That's a bit much, even for you.

We strive for fun and that was achieved. I get frustrated on the sidelines but have no time to coach. The opponents were both good yesterday d7's team got pummeled and d9's team held their own. Proud father for girls that just started.

Morning guys. A little slow even for me. Two more soccer games today 4 hours apart but at the same series of fields. We had two yesterday and both girls did well. We strive for fun and that was achieved. I get frustrated on the sidelines but have no time to coach. The opponents were both good yesterday d7's team got pummeled and d9's team held their own. Proud father for girls that just started.

Glad to hear your girls are having fun. I thought the same thing as you until I had a coach one game spend the entire time on his cell phone and have the children play duck, duck, goose during practice. So, I took some coaching classes and even got my coach license. I had played in HS so knew the rules of the game and how to play, but not how to coach. Now, my team gets 15 minutes of footwork drills with the ball each practice and we do other practice games that are fun, learning, and don't have children standing without the ball. In getting my ref certification this year, I get to see some really athletically talented children who lack the basic knowledge of the game, i.e., toe kick, which is frustrating.

Nothing is beneath me...

Key Largo update. Rain is gone but the winds are howling. Seas are 5-7 this morning and will get worse this afternoon. Was going out but not in this junk. The dive operation canceled anyway. My only hope to see anything will be tomorrow morning.

The pool is open however and the barmaid is pouring drinks. My life does not suck.
