That's nothing. It's been a year and three months for me (which, before that was 5 years since previous visit to a Disney park, Tokyo Disney, and 22 years since the last trip to WDW). My next trip isn't for another year and 9 months. Hell, that will probably also be our next trip to America...

My name is Casey, and my Disney problem's bigger than yours.

Fortunately, I don't have to worry about Disney commercials over here...

It'slike they always say, It's all about LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION :lmao:

I am in the same funk. Don't want to move. If it hurts like this on Friday, no way I can dive.

There are still a couple of days for the pain to go down....anything else you can do to help it along? (Besides a harpoon gun for the dog?)

::yes:: Exactly! Yes.. the convention is too far away!:lmao:I've been keeping my eye on Southwest flights each day... thinking I can sneak something in... but it's just fantasy for now.

Good thing I have that Cedar Point trip in July! :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing, Scott! How's the head?

Don't forget Myrtle Beach in June too....oh wait, I'll be there too!

I'm keeping my eye on Flights for the convention too. Right now, the cheapest is $336 roundtrip non-stop. But Southwest, Spirit, and Airtran haven't released their flights yet for then.

The worst part for me is for the period of 3 months after returning, especially if I don't have another trip planned.

As a nemesis, it's my duty to rub your nose in the fact that you we no longer there, and I am going for 7 days this summer. :)

There were days this last trip that our girls tried our patience and we were very frustrated. We decided after the week was over that it was too much for them and that we would skip a year and not go back for a full week next year.

I'm wishing we wouldn't have made that decision, but it's done. We'll be going to Daytona next year and a day trip to MK while we're there.

It'slike they always say, It's all about LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION :lmao:

It's not really location that's the problem (well, it's some of the problem :lmao: ). We don't have ANY trips planned for the next year and a half. Maybe a weekend in Seoul, or Busan, but that's about it for our future vacations...

Ugh, that is rough. At least we have a week up at the cottage to look forward to, although it is the opposite in pace to a Disney Trip.

Hi, my name is Mark, and I am also joining the Funky Bunch. Wait, that didn't come out right.

I am in the "I need a vacation" funk. There, that's better. Reading through a petition signed by over 500 people that my project needs to be finished now, before Memorial Day, and we need to do whatever possible to make it happen. This after receiving calls on Friday complaining about all the traffic delays due to construction. So, we need to work around the clock to finish, but also can't do any work at any time when it might be slightly inconvenient. I give up.

Always amazing to see how many "experts" there are out there willing to tell me how to do my job. If your complaint starts, "I'm not an expert, but..." do me a favor and just stop right there.

Heck, the days DW and dds try my patience are days of the week. Don't let that be a buffer to return.

It was a short trip...but fun...left me wanting more. Been looking into Lottery Stratagy, Bank Robbery, Organ Selling... :sad2:

Some great strategies.

I am trying to plan a trip in Sept and arrange the dates to meet up with at least one Dis Dad.

If you can get October, your bunch can ride in minivan with me. Well, it only seats 7 so you can ride on the luggage rack.

Man, I'm just in an all around funk. I think we may take a short trip this summer just to get our fix in:thumbsup2

Can you access some of that secret service entertainment budget?

...

Wow. That's a problem. Hope you can make it sooner than later.

I am in the same funk. Don't want to move. If it hurts like this on Friday, no way I can dive.

The Lortab have helped my driving. Or, they have helped my ability to not care about my driving. My back is getting better, but still hurting.

So, DW made red beans and rice for dinner tonight. Unbeknown to her, I added in some Cajun spices with tobasco. As she was eating, she said that the food was really hot. I said that I added the heat, to which she grinned and said, with those bedroom eyes, you bring the heat, baby. Laughing, I said that I really added the spices. Unfortunately, she wasn't crying from the laughter. I guess I really did bring the heat. Who else likes their food spicy?
George likes his chicken spicy! (I was expecting Paul to make that joke)
hey guys....how has it been going???

Well, tonight Shari and I are winners of the parents of the year awards!!!!!

At baseball practice the other night coach was yelling at Ethan. Ethan stood there oblivious to anything. It occured to me that it was if he was not hearing him. Afterwards I asked him and he had NO idea that coach was even talking to him until the end. Made an appointment for him to see ENT yesterday and I guess all of the ear infections he has had recently have not cleared up and he has severe hearing loss on the left and moderate to severe on the right. The left ear drum is not moving and there is a ton of fluid trapped. He is going to have to have tuves up in for the third time ASAP. Now, this particular doc only does surgery on day a month at our hospital and the insurance wont pay for it unless we have it at our place. Hoping that the poor fella can get added on next Friday but I am not hopeful and looks like it might not be until memorial day Weekend!!! yep horrible parent I am!!!! This could even explain some of the drop in grades that he has had at school!!! Grrr I wish I had noticed sooner and not let it get this far!!! Stupid stupid stupid!!! Peanutbutter and Beverly with a capital B!!
Usually when a boy isn't listening it's just because he's, well... a boy! You addressed it as soon as you noticed. No shame in that.
I am really in a Disney funk today. We would normally be 6 days out from our annual trip to WDW right now... but no trip this spring. We are saving up for two trips next year. :cool1: Still.... doesn't help the craving I have right now. Working on the TR lately has only made it worse (even if it IS from 2 years ago :lmao:). Thanks for letting me share. My name is Don and I have a Disney problem. :wave2:
There's help out there, Don. Admitting you have a problem is the first step. Me? I don't have a Disney problem. My Disney addiciton is just fine the way it is. Feeding that addiciton is the problem. My name is Chris and I have an independently wealthy problem.
I am in the same funk. Don't want to move. If it hurts like this on Friday, no way I can dive.

Too bad you don't live closer. I have some leftover Percoset.

Don, just remember Disney will wait patiently for your return.

:lmao::lmao: They seem to enjoy taking our money!

:crazy2: And THAT's why I don't live outside the USA! :lmao::lmao:

Well... can't really compare the MB trip to a WDW trip. I mean, I live 15 minutes from Virginia Beach, so it's not going to settle any impulses there. Will be nice to get away for a week... but given a choice I'd rather spend it in that magical place in Florida! :rotfl2:

I'm not sensing any of this "patience-testing" you speak of in your TR. Guess that's a little spoiler alert? :lmao:

Tell them that if they WERE an expert, they'd have a flying car like on the Jetsons

Morning...

I wouldn't put to much stock in those blackberries, iPhone and Android crops are really the way to go... :rotfl2:

Bravo. :lmao:

Well, I took the truck into the body shop this morning. Insurance has at least given the go ahead to start tearing down to find out how much more damage is there. Adjuster hasn't filed his report yet, so they haven't approved ordering parts and starting work. :headache: At least they've given me a rental car to run the crap out of. It's just too bad it's basically useless since I can't hook a gooseneck trailer behind it.:sad2:
.

Hope they move quickly. Nothing like more inconveniences due to incompetency.

Bummer. I'm ready to go as well. Maybe that's something I can talk DW into - a summer trip. I really liked Disney Hilton Head, but still missed WDW.

All I know for fact, is if your not in it you will not win it:confused3 A 1 in 200 or 300 chance is a lot better then 0:thumbsup2

My justification on playing the lottery.

Still owe you a beverage.

Have a good night guys (and Mrs. AirGoofy).

Hope you get better and looking forward to collecting. Don't encourage her.

Thank Goodness its Wednesday. The week is half over. I was really hoping that they would have skipped Wed/Thur this week and went straight to Friday, but alas, my hopes were dashed this morning when I found out what day it was.

Matt

I'm campaigning for a 2 day work week with same pay and benefits. That's all I really work anyway.

I thought that was yesterday....

Norm???

Bravo. That is two today. :lmao:

Hang in there, there's always a chance of getting a 100 carat emerald on one of you treasure hunting outings.

Get one of these

Did any of the letters say "I'm not an expert, but I can't even claim to have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express because you have the road torn up"?

You could set up an untrackable email to reply:
"Dear "Not an Expert"
We tried your idea, three workers were seriously injured, I hope you're happy, their blood is on your hands.

P.S. Your little idea just delayed the project until July 5th."

Wow!!! A petition with 500 signatures... all complaining about you??? You should feel honored.:lmao: :rotfl:

By the way... Isn't that the entire population of Delaware? :confused3

Fed! Hi! :wave2: Maybe you can funnel some of that party money the government seems to have laying around to fund a DDC Get-Out-Of-The-Funk event? popcorn:: :lmao:

Great idea! Tax day has come and gone, so I know the government has plenty of money they're looking to waste... I mean spend. :rolleyes1 :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

I'm pretty sure our government already spent it's tax money on Polar Bear traps and Stealth Canoes :lmao:

Can you access some of that secret service entertainment budget?

Thank you GSA and Secret Service for now making life miserable for the rest of us. We had a hard time justifying operational travel *BEFORE* all this nonsense...now it's going to get really ugly.

Wish I had known this was going on when we were working with the Secret Service last week....I would've been relentless on those poor guys:lmao:

I've been to Cartagena, Colombia A LOT. I have a bunch of pictures from multiple trips on my FB page. I can tell you right now, I'm not surprised at anything that goes on down there. I can also tell you that if it was $47.00 for services rendered, he wasn't exactly shopping at Tiffany's.:headache::rolleyes1

In regard to the GSA. Good god, these are the contract people...You can't buy/test/evaluate anything without their permission, and they're completely RIGID with DEMANDING you only use GSA approved vendors/contractors etc....

Well, apparently they're only rigid with Agencies---they seem to have found multiple loop holes to take care of themselves....

Don't forget the ever popular..."I pay your salary"...:mad: Yeah, by that logic, I pay myself, so I think I'm better serving my budgetary input by fishing today...

Thank you. :rotfl2:

:scratchin Sometimes I really hate having to be the grown-up. Maybe that's why I like Disney so much.

At least they're not all mentioning me by name.

Pretty much. Actually, I think these are all out-of-staters who come to the beach in the summer.

::yes:: I've heard that one so many times. I pay my taxes as well, so I tell them this one is on me. :rotfl2:
