this day flew by... probably going to be like that for the next couple of weeks. So much going on and so little time. Despite feeling like I didn't accomplish much, it was a pretty good day. DS has shifted his schedule a bit, and I need to adjust. Tomorrow I need to do some shopping to get some things for DS's big birthday party in two weeks. DW wanted to rent a bounce house, but for the rental price we can just buy one at Toys R Us. Then afterwards we can try to sell it (or rent it out??) to get our money back.

rough night at work, did the best I could with what I was given. Frustrating to be in those situations.

Want to go to sleep now, but DS has nebulizer treatment in 1 hour...

Just a random bit of Disney magic.

Reading your TR... I was there at the same time (but hadn't found the DDC yet) Originally supposed to be there 12/26-1/1, but ended up being a couple of days late. looks like we were both at AK that wednesday. and at MK for new years eve.

Top of the morning guys :thumbsup2

Nemesis, congrats on the team from Lexington winning last night. It pains me to say that you know:rotfl2:

‘Morning all…

temporary-37.jpg

Another fabulous day…

…I think there is a basketball game on tonight?

Congrats Norm!

Time on the SC coast and an NCAA win for the home team…
You sir are having a very fine week.
:thumbsup2

There's no place like home. There's no place like home. MADE IT. It did take longer to get out of the parking lot (lost ticket) than it did to go through security at the airport (no ID).

Good to see that you got back on the plane.
Interesting that a parking fee was harder to work out then the TSA approval…
a little disturbing as well.

Just a random bit of Disney magic.

Nice bit of randomness

Nemesis, congrats on the team from Lexington winning last night. It pains me to say that you know:rotfl2:

Morning David…
I’m sure that was quite painful.
:rotfl2:

Morning guys!

Looks like a great trip, Norm! Thanks for the pics!

Congrats on getting home, CJ!

Morning Duck and the rest of the guys,

Fell asleep soon after getting settled back in the real world. Slept like the dead. Successful trip but need to go to the bank to get a temp card. Will deal with the drivers license replacement later.

It was funny after getting out of the airport and getting hit in the face with the heat and humidity. DD commented that we are not in NY anymore. It was steamy in comparison. May have to continue the college tour in Orlando and Tallahassee. No complaints on doing Orlando but Tally is a pain to get to. She needs to decide soon.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day.

Morning guys!

Momma bear is still down and out, so I am once again getting the girls ready for school. Gonna be another long day at work.:surfweb:

Matt

Hey folks... I've seen you've been busy.

CJ - Sounds like you had a great weekend up until the wallet incident, is that going to influence the Pirate Princesses decision?

Barry - cute pic of Ryder.

Paul - congrats on 3k.

Chris - Sounds like an awesome week of camping :thumbsup2

Fed - You never did tell us why you "aren't 25 anymore", I am in the same boat however.

James - good luck with those taxes... uggghh...

If I missed anyone... sorry... :(

Just trying to get caught up.

No big news tro report on my neck and shoulder pain. Started taking the prescribed meds last night, was a bit drowsy today - not sure if that was med realted or not... :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: At least the pain isn't getting worse.

Glad to hear the pain has subsided. I thought something was wrong because your nemesis has not complained about any obstacles from the Master of the Universe :rotfl2:

Tonight's in trip pictures.

Went to th beach house today. Some advertising. But, they also had an indoor, air conditioned, tv watching and gathering area for those who don't want to be outdoors, Disney thinks of everything.

temporary-24.jpg

they also have the pool side bar. But, they can only make drinks from a standard menu. Had a rum punch and will avoid that in the future.

temporary-23.jpg

We arrived at the beach round 9:30 AM. Where did the water go?

temporary-26.jpg

temporary-34.jpg

Oldest found a starfish.

temporary-32.jpg

Little more difficult to pick it up.

temporary-25.jpg

Youngest found a crab leg. That is the closest to seafood she came all trip. Every meal was chicken or hot dog.

temporary-29.jpg

My proudest accomplishment.

temporary-27.jpg

Not my fingers in the pic. But, I dug my own hole for beach umbrella with the toy shovel one receives with a kid meal, and, it held against the wind on th beach. The beach house pool also had a net for volleyball. So, we spent 2.5 hours on the beach and 2.5 hours at the pool. Then, we returned to home resort.

This was a trip to hunt Brer Rabbit with Shadow.

temporary-35.jpg

Apparrntly, the story of Brer Rabbit has some beginnings at the Hilton Head islands. Interesting story.

The kids gt to walk along with th dog and feed the rabbits hiding in the bushes. At the end of the trip, we end up at the main entrance for lemonade and cookies.

temporary-37.jpg

Another fabulous day. We went out to eat at Scott's Fish Market.

temporary-38.jpg

Now' time for some night swimming. Have a magical day. I think there is a basketball game on tonight?

Great pics :thumbsup2

Nice one Doc :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Glad to hear the pain has subsided. I thought something was wrong because your nemesis has not complained about any obstacles from the Master of the Universe :rotfl2:

I've been giving him a break... as miserable as I want to make his trip, the girls and the Mrs. deserve better.... (Better then him I mean of course) :rotfl2: :lmao:

That Christmas trip (and writing the trip report) were great! I had New Year's Day all written, but the thread closed, so I didn't talk about Crystal Palace being "meh" that day. But for all the talk about crowds (and it wasn't a lie), the decorations MORE than made up for it (in my opinion). Especially the Osborne lights.

This picture is from an improptu trip this February with my DS4 and my Mother-in-Law. A 1-day trip report seems a lot of work, but since I took a lot of pictures, and we did a lot, I may still write it up. Using the Emma's Dad rule, I only have 61 days to finish it before my next WDW trip!:scared1:

Fell asleep soon after getting settled back in the real world. Slept like the dead. Successful trip but need to go to the bank to get a temp card. Will deal with the drivers license replacement later.y.

And still interested in Seaton Hall? I thought the weather would convince her. It is a long drive up to Florida State.

This game keeps getting better... Was wondering if UK could run out the clock for 20 minutes... Looks like the answer is no!

A terrific game.

Nope - Hilton Head, South Carolina.
But I agree with Ron - the Pics are amazing. .

Thanks.

more great pics!! keep them coming!! more ammunition to show DW and convince her to go there!

What is making it even tougher for me is that our dues this year paid for this hotel stay. So, our trip to WDW in fall is paid for, outside of tickets and food. Naturally, I tart thinking about booking here or Vero once a year for that perk, but i have also really enjoyed the two trips a year to WDW. Conundrum.

Top of the morning guys :thumbsup2

Nemesis, congrats on the team from Lexington winning last night. It pains me to say that you know:rotfl2:

Thanks. I'll wear a UK shirt to Huber farms this year. Probably not.

Congrats Norm!

:rotfl2:

It was a nice combination. Thanks.

Morning guys!

Looks like a great trip, Norm! Thanks for the pics!

Congrats on getting home, CJ!

Happy to share them.

Great pic.

Great pics Norm, glad your having a great time:thumbsup2 What state is that in:confused3

Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, SC.

My youngest dd, who just now woke up, keeps wanting to know the name of the resort. She gets that we are not in FL, sometimes, but wants to know its name. They have one of those road map direction poles, which points in the direction of the other DVC RESORTs. So, Boardwalk is 300 miles, Beach Club is 307, Aulani is 4K miles. She is right. All the other have names.

Well, time to get the morning started. We all slept in late with last night's game. Congrats to Kansas who played a good game. It is cloudy and 70 degree high today. This wil be our last full day here and will leave tomorrow. Tonight is Disney's low country boil and am excited to end this trip with another Disney magic event (hopefully). There are so many other paid activities one can choose from here - bike rentals, kayak rentals, fishing, boats, dolphin tour, etc and then the free ones - nature walks, story times, etc like the ones we went too. You all have a great day. Wil try to post some pics again tonight if I catch some good ones today.

Morning guys!
DW asked me last night to see if I could get a scratch out of the wood on a bed we picked up for DS on the weekend. 2 hours later I had sanded the entire headboard completely bare. Nothing like bringing a bazooka to a knife fight!

And just for fun, a picture of the little guy:

IMG_1039.JPG

Looks like a strong little guy, has he tried to pull your jersey over your head yet?

Morning guys!

:thumbsup2 Awesome!

What a fun trip NY is. Had my wallet stolen last night. Cancelled the cards but no ID and I am picking up the kid to go to the airport in a bit. Called AA and they basically said good luck. Fed, can I tell them I know you?

Wish me luck getting on the plane.

 Welcome to NY... sheesh

Or Connecticut? That stinks, CJ. Good luck getting on the plane!

Any Dads out there with experience programming apps? How hard is it? If I have a good idea (not Disney related), is it even financially worth the effort? I have some programming experience in college and am fairly computer literate. Would I be able to do it?

Depends on what you have in mind. What kind of application... technologies used... scope... etc. PM me and we can talk more.

i would check it out in a corner.

family!!! i can see why easter is a big weekend. three words, mother-in-laws!!!:lmao:

its nice to have a doc, doc. :thumbsup2 thanks!

thats great!!! hey doc, i dont see any new ticker in your sig. :confused3 any trips planned in the near future?
:rolleyes1 not one of my proudest moments. ask briana about a few of our old printers!!! its a good thing i live in an area that you are not allowed to discharge a fire arm and i dont own an ar-15.:lmao: did you get a chance to look at your pms yet?

:lmao::lmao: I could see you attacking that printer like they did to the fax machine in Office Space! And yes... I got to my PMs this morning, Randall, Jr. :thumbsup2

Thanks guys for the concern and offers to bunk with you. TSA was giving me a hassle then I told them I knew Fed. Passed me right through.

Actually it was relatively easy. Showed them the police report and the guy asked me if I had any other ID including prescription meds. Thanks to my hospital stay, have lots of meds with me. Looking at a bottle, he asked for my address which I gave. "Can you give it to me again." I said sure but the address on the med is the pharmacy. "Oh yea, you are right. Go ahead."

I met you and can testify to that.

Whew :cool1: With all the stories you hear about TSA lately, you never know WHAT they'll do to you. "What? No license? Please step over here and bend over..." :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Happy Monday Afternoon everyone. Spent the night at the hospital with DS last night. Up 3 or 4 times for feedings. DW and I are switching off, with the other one here at home with the bigger kids to get them off to school, etc.

Talked to the Doc this morning - they stopped one of the antibiotics that he doesn't need, but will need to be on the other one until this weekend. As of right now we're looking at bringing him home Saturday night or Sunday morning. It's going to be a long week, but he'll be home before we know it!

And just for fun, a picture of the little guy:

IMG_1039.JPG

Glad to hear he's getting better! That little guy looks very peaceful there. :cloud9:

we were in the same boat. we were getting 2 bedroom villas and gotbehind on the points. we are paying cash for the may trip but we should be in good shape after that for the next 10 years or so.

Oh noooooo!!! Behind in points?? Paying cash?? This sounds like a DVC nightmare! :lmao:

Glad to hear you made it back safely, CJ! That humidity WILL kill you, though.:lmao:

Morning guys. :surfweb:

Won some good money on my office bracket, thanks to UK, so today's off to a good start. :thumbsup2

There's no place like home. There's no place like home. MADE IT. It did take longer to get out of the parking lot (lost ticket) than it did to go through security at the airport (no ID).
I'm glad that the TSA still allows employees to exercise common sense to some extent and you were able to make it home. That's too bad about the parking issue. Did you have money or a card to even pay for it? :confused3

CJ: Glad you made it home, even though you couldn't prove who you were. Come to think of it, is this really CJ posting? :confused3

Barry: Awesome picture! Gotta train 'em young.

Norm: Still loving the pictures! Puts me in a good place for a few minutes.

Paul: Congrats on the extra Disney money! :thumbsup2
