Home finally. Tonight just dragged.

Well, I did my taxes this year. Twice.:headache:

Filed everything on Monday night. Yesterday I get an email saying I have a 1099-DIV and 1099-B ready for me. In the middle of February? Thanks guys.:mad:

So I got to file an amended return last night. Might as well have just stamped "Audit Me" on the 1040X. :sad2:

"It's like he's trying to speak to me, I know it!"....:faint:

Brent, I must have missed when the first shoe dropped what happened? :confused3

The province came out with their auditors report yesterday with ways to reduce Ontario's deficit, and of course, we were targeted. Lots of unsettling news. Plus they've decided to sell one of the major stores off and the land it and the Corporate HQ has on the Waterfront. Plus lately we get told to do things to make things more "efficiant" but all their solutions results in reduced customer service and empty shelves.

Things should get interesting, they want us all to fill out an employee survey. :rotfl2: This can not end well. :lmao:

I'm sad i just her Gary Carter 57 Died of Cancer he was a great baseball player hope the Mets do him Justice one day this year RIP you brought us a well deserved "86" championship
RIP

wow, didn't hear that.

I remember him the the Montreal Expos.

He was a class act.

RIP Gary Carter

Well bleh....

Those things hardly every end well... :rotfl:

I changed my diet, but I did not change my drinking, beer, wine, or hard liquor. Obviously in moderation though.

Well, of course it's moderation. But, then I'd never be able to order a Monster Burger again.

this is shocking wow he is back in NBA this should help them do better .

And, even though he has taken Jordan's minutes, Jordan is still putting in same #s. I went with an odd fantasy strategy - I took mutiple players from same teams that I like to watch. So, I had Jordan and Billups for for Clippers and added Kmart.

Seseme Place is in Langhorne PA, right down the street from Carl:thumbsup2

I think we looked at visiting there one year and decided if we were gonna drive that long, we just should go to WDW.

Mike Schmidt did a nice talk about him today on ESPN Radio. From his account, there careers overlapped and they lived in the same neighborhood and were friends.

As long as the survey doesn't identify who wrote it, feel free to state what really happens.

Will check tomorrow... have to hit the sack.

Night all!

Night Brian.

Meant to post this the other night, but didn't get around to it...

I think after being together for 23 years my DW finally gets me. A little anyway. Darth Maul Valentine Chocolates and a Mickey Pen/Pencil holder.

Awesome! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Saw this on FB and had to share

:rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao::rotfl2:

Im a major slacker lately Scott. Sorry guys been a little crazy with the crap/sickness going through our house and "trying" to stay away from it. Well it finally caught me on friday and Ive been on slow-mo ever since. Doctor dx me with Asthmatic Bronchitis. Yea me! :cool1: My son had the tri-fecta he was dx with Bronchitis, Croup and the onset of Pneumonia. He was out of school for 8 days total.
Been busy booking and quoting out trips for clients as well, tis the season. People keep running into small to medium sized lumps of money this time of year and think they should WASTE it on a vacation! :lmao: Love that, had a client tell me his wife wanted to "waste money on a family vacation" almost bit his head off, but I showed some restraint.
Podcasts are doing well to, we are scheduled to record the "EPCOT Resorts" episode tonight. Just finished a great one on "Why NOT take a Disney vacation", should be a good listen.
Thank you for the concern sir, I appreciate it.

Hope everyone feels better soon!!

They can beat the little brown dog - she's annoying.

:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2:

We all bandied that idea around for a couple of months - as the reality is - none of the CA siblings want to live in it. ........ That old saying, never do business with friends and relatives comes quickly to mind...

Yeah, exactly. I was thinking if you could get it for fair market value, so siblings did not try to say anyone was favored, and could figure out how to rent it out to make payments on it, then it would be a nice place to retire. But, if it doesn't work, then it doesn't work. And, if things are tense ...... DW has "vultures" in her family who go pack up belongings at deceased relatives' homes while the others are at the funeral home.

Meant to post this the other night, but didn't get around to it...

I can never figure out why Government would consider closing someplace that brings in cash, to me it makes a lot more sense to find things that they dump money into that brings in nothing:confused3

Good Luck Brent:goodvibes

You answered your own question. "Government makes sense" It only has to make benefit the the Millionaire Politicians and their Millionaire/Billionaire donors to be a good idea.

Well, I achieved my goal for this evening. As usual, Christopher and Randall have opened the big lead. I had a late start, have caught back up to maintain my claim on #4 against Brian. Obviously, the goal is always to defeat theduck (Dave), my nemesis.

I'm calling it an evening as well. Goodnight all.

I am nearing the end of the final Harry Potter book.

Wasn't expecting to like them as much as I have. I thought the books got better as I progressed through the story, until this last one. It is dragging a bit for me, and the sudden introduction of other character perspectives is odd to me.

Overall, I have enjoyed the books and looking forward to the last couple hundred pages. I also have a desire to visit Universal and check it out someday.

I read the Deathly Hallows in basically one sitting. Bought it the Saturday after it came out. Read two chapters at lunch then did a bunch of chores and didn't pick it up until around 730 in the evening. Didn't stop except for snacks and bathroom breaks until i was done, around 530 the next morning. The worst part was that the wife and I were going the flea market that morning so i only got about two hours of sleep. Found the ending intriguing, inspired me to write my own continuation for a fanfiction site. Over a million words so far in two story installments completed, starting a third.

Had a golden opportunity to read Deathly Hallows when I had a weekend off up north. DW and infant DD1 stayed home, so I had peace and quiet, in a secluded trailer in the bush by a lake. Started the book around 5pm after DW headed home, finished it 4:30am (took me a while compared to books in the past.) Loved it.

Bummer. Amendments are good though, more chance of them looking harder at your return if they catch missing items than if you do... :thumbsup2

Lets just hope Dave doesn't read this. He'll go on for 4-5 pages with made-up horror stories of how the IRS is going to come to your house, torture you, and beat on your pets... :sad2:

Hpe they don't hurt my pet, I use her as a dependent.;)

All I can think of here is Homer filing his taxes. "Bart, you were wounded in Vietnam, Lisa's a clergyman, and Maggie is 7 people."

"Shut up, shut up! If I can't hear you, it's not illegal!"

I had a BIL who was telling everyone they would burn in you know where if you read these, then proceeded to diss the movies. All while his kid was playing the unlocked version of Mortal Combat and listening to Megadeath :confused3

Dose he live down here?
That sound uncannily like a very large percentage of my neighbors.

:rotfl:

I'll just stay up here and take my chances with the polar bears :rotfl2:

I wish it would... but unfortunately, DW's younger brother is the real problem behind it all. He & his wife have been a real pain in the back side for everyone. For their father before he died, and now for the rest afterwards. So it's best to just end it as quickly as possible.

It took an hour, but I CAUGHT UP! :cool1::rotfl2: Mind you, everyone went to bed. Gotta love working nights...

I think there 12 or 13 books... and a few short stories... I also read Abraham Lincoln Vampire hunter... pretty good

I want to pick this up for my summer reading

Finally found my way here. Busy day at work. Popping in to introduce myself finally.

Welcome!!!

Yep! Proud Papa, Happy Grandpa!

:woohoo::cool1::woohoo: CONGRATS !! I likes me some Happy News

BAck from Parent Teacher conference. It was not as painful as I had imagined. We have been dealing with a lot of issues with Ethan lately and his grads have dropped like a rock. He has been asking A LOT of questions about his adoption and why and stuff like that. He is dwelling on it and I am worried that it has effected his school work. His self esteem is so low right now because of his grades and feeling unwanted when he was born. We have had to really step up our game and try to reassure him that he was wanted and loved and a God given gift. I impounded his 3DS when his grades dropped and I gave it back to him this evening after our conference. It seems that he made a 100% on his spelling test today. So, that shows me he is trying to move back into the right direction. Say a little prayer for us that he will continue this upswing and bounce back to the old Ethan soon!!

Prayers.. Cannot say I know much about this, although I just getting to know it from the other sider of the fence (the "other" brother Things will get better I think..

Prayers for both your friend and you. Life just sucks sometimes....:sad1:

Why you always worrying about me? I am harmless...

I am Canadian, my posts have an exchange rate on them.

Isn't that the whole Canadian strategy? Act harmless, then.....:furious:

I know we don't go to disney for another 11 months but what is everyone's favorite character dining? My 3 yr old loved the characters last time so we are looking to do more of these.

Our two absolute faves are Tusker House for breakfast, good characters, and really good food, and 1900 Park Fare for dinner, I loved this way more then the breakfast there, characters were more into the spirit

Any WWE fans out there going to watch Elimination Chamber this weekend ?

Don't buy PPVs anymore, they priced themselves way too high. I'll find out what happened on the 'net, and watch RAW instead

Well bleh....

Those things hardly every end well... :rotfl:

Night Brian.

By the looks of it, it stays anomynous. The first questions apparently ask about how committed you are to the job/company, etc :scared1:

I can never figure out why Government would consider closing someplace that brings in cash, to me it makes a lot more sense to find things that they dump money into that brings in nothing:confused3

Good Luck Brent:goodvibes

They can sell off the whole kit and kaboodle for billions, and let it go private, and that will bring a large flow of cash into the province. A LOT of people are for this, cause they figure prices will go down (prices here are very high),and you'll be able to get wine/beer etc at corner stores (a lot of conveince stores and Walmart want a piece of the pie). Plus, there are a lot of anti-union folks too don't like our wages/pension etc.

that said, after a while, how will the province make up the $2 Billion + annually (and growing each year) we bring in. And if people think things will be cheaper, you can bet that they'll just raise the taxes. Nothing the province has sold off has worked in their favour. Just ask about the millions some Spanish Company gets for the toll highway 407?

*right click* *save as* I love that Smiley.

Yes indeed.

On a somber note I visited one of my best friends and fishing buddy today. He just had back surgery, but something else was "off". They found a large tumor growing out of his right lung into his shoulder and pretty sure it's spread to liver and bones. This man (old enough to be my grandfather, but he's one of the guys) has been a rock in our little fishing group for well over a decade. I've spent hours and hours and days and days in a boat with him...

I've seen this movie before, I know what lies ahead and I know there ain't a darn thing I can do about. I do know one thing, that was only the shell of the man I know and love in that chair today...:sad1:

Thanks for letting me vent

Mike, I am sorry to hear about your friend. I will pray that he has God's peace for his remaining time :grouphug:

I work the early shift and you come and mess it up on the 2nd :lmao:

Good morning and TGIF :cool1:

Our DD's don't know it yet, but they are getting a big surprise tonight :thumbsup2

I'm sitting here watching Comic Book Men on demand, bringing back memories of when I had my store.

When my DD2 calls and tells me she has news...

Excellent news. Bet you can't wait to spoil him or her.

That's what we are here for Mike. Very sorry to hear the news.

As other people mentioned, lots of options. I would focus on dinning with the little one's favorite characters. Pooh vs. Mickey vs. Princesses... My daughter's favorites were CRT for breakfast and CM.

Good morning and TGIF :cool1:

Morning Dave. Do tell us the surprise. Or are you also going to make us wait.

Sicker than a dog right now. Guess going from 85 degrees to 32 without a jacket was a bad idea. Did the podcast last night high on cold stuff. Have no idea what I talked about or if I made any sense. All I kept thinking was SQUIRREL!

Have a good day guys.
