Guys, if you could say a quick prayer for my FIL, I'd appreciate it.

He is in his 70's, and down in North Carolina on his own. He's supposed to be attending a weight-loss program at Duke University. He had previously attended this program 10-15 years ago.

Unfortunately, his ability to take care of himself has deteriorated in that time, and appears to be much worse than we knew. He was missing all of last night. The last we heard from him was around 7:00 p.m. or so. He got lost between the university and the hotel (about a 3 mile drive). He was stopping to ask for directions, but the directions he was given were too complicated and he couldn't remember them. We got a call from my MIL at 11:30 last night and she said my FIL wasn't answering his cell phone (he forgot the charger and may have a dead battery).

She called the hotel this morning. They checked his room and no one was there, and the sheets hadn't been pulled back. A call to local hospitals didn't turn up anyone by his name, and they said no John Does came in. So right now we're just waiting for word, calling the university, hotel, etc. Probably calling the cops soon.

Hey guys,

My FIL has been found safe. He was pulled over by police for speeding in Lynchburg, VA. When they asked him where he was, he said, "Delaware." He had no recollection of ever having been in North Carolina. So obviously he's very disoriented at the least. The police are taking him to the hospital in VA to get checked out and we have some stellar family members who are making the drive to get him and return the rental car. I was about to hop in the car to go get him but my wife forbade me from leaving her alone tonight after the ordeal she's been through.

Thanks for the prayers (they work!) and the offers for help. You guys rock.

Thank God that he turned up safe. I cannot imagine what you guys were going through, in my prayers.

only 2 min. to the game and a crap call on talbot. now i cant sleep.
:lmao:
for you non hockey fans, watching the leafs is like watching the steelers as far as the officiating is concerned. :lmao:

Yeah, KY received a waiver for No Child Left Behind. Now, we can return to leaving child behind. Who votes that your school system be set up on the KY educational system standards?

...

Anyone?

...

Bueller?

Bueller?

Bueller?

:lmao:

It seems like the choices are no child left behind or no child gets ahead. :rotfl:

No one really watches the Leafs. :rotfl2:

Of course - he is (was) a fellow canadian...

I used to be a HUGE WWF fan in the 80's..

I used to go watch live at Maple Leaf Gardens...

I would wait near the players locker rooms, where they would come in, and meet them all on there way in.

I shook his hand, and his brother's (Lanny Poffo).

I also smacked the Iron Sheik on the back, he turned around and threatened me... I got a laugh out of it, thinking he was playing his on stage character. Little did I know he is actually extremely insane... if you ever listen to Howard Stern you will know what I mean - if not, youtube Iron Sheik on Howard Stern

Was going to mention the Hart/Poffo snafu, but I'm late to the party as usual.

Back when dad and I worked together at Sears, we headed out into the mall for break and sitting there this BIG older guy comes walking by, and starts talking it up with dad and sits down with us, it ended up being Angelo Mosca Jr. who dad knew from way back. Although he goes back further then I ever watched.

They would be booked, but it would not steal business away from the others. My oldest is now 10, but both dds still love the princesses. I like the 8:00 AM breakfasts because I can get into the parks before they open. Walking up main street before the park opens is just an amazing experience.

Here's one at Epcot. It is still really cool, but not as much as MK.

My AK one is somewhere else. Maybe one day I will outgrow them.

Why would you want to outgrow them? :confused3

I met Angelo Mosca a few times as well.
Shook his hand, and man does that guy have HUGE hands.

Oh, and Leafs suck. GG Dave.

Thanks for updating everyone Brian! :thumbsup2 <----thumb
His procedure was supposed to take about 4 hours and end around Noon....when we didn't hear anything we started to worry....about 2p they finally told us he was in recovery! :sad2:
Doc came out and talked to us and said everything went fine....but unfortunately, because Dad likes his Bacon, his girth provided a much smaller area to work in. This slowed things down but didn't impede on the success of the procedure.
So now, they send out his prostate to be biopsied and checked for "clear margins" to know if the cancer was confined to just his prostate. Results in about a week.
So the day started at 3:45a this morning and I just got home about 20 minutes ago....:scared1: I'm beat!
Nighty night guys.[/QUOTE]
Glad to hear.
