Yo Don! Oh Don! Dooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn......

we're what 20 pages in and still have no thread title... just sayin'

DD is sitting watching Looney Tunes. I'm sitting here listening to witch Hazel & Bugs interact. Ah that laugh of the witch's... funny and infectious at the same time.

So I learned something cool this week while at DL... regarding the three hotels.

The Paradise Pier Hotel rooms were at one time slightly larger than the old DL Hotel rooms... but after the DL Hotel's 2009-11 refurbishment (actually, gutting and rebuilding), the DL Hotel rooms are now larger. And both hotels have larger rooms than the Grand Californian... yet the GC is the premium hotel with rates nearly double that of the PPH. Which of course comes down to location, and less steps to walk to get to the theme parks. But for sheer size - the DLH is now the best value for cash guests. (There's your free tip of the week TADads...). When you have a family and they are dickering on price - the spaciousness of the rooms at the DLH is worth the slight cost increase, plus the theming and better pools.

Cool - now I'm listening to Yosemite Sam... he was always one of my favorites.

The DW is about to arrive at home, and then we have to get ready to go to drop DD off at a friend's house (she's not going to the concert with us), then a quick bite to eat and off to the venue.

Going to see the David Crowder Band. One of their last concerts before disbanding.

I saw them about 8 years ago, and at that time they were the pre-opening act for MercyMe, who was the opener for Michael W. Smith.

That was easy. Got there at 10:30 and was back in the car at 12:11. That includes waiting room, rest room, prep and recovery. In OR from 11:11 to 11:35. Totally awake and aware the whole time, but the drugs made me not care. Brief pain during some injections but that pain was gone within 5 seconds. They let me bring my ipod. Huey Lewis, Quiet Riot, Jimmy Buffett and others made things better. I considered listening to a DisDads podcast but I didn't want Aaron's voice to be forever associated with scalpels, shaving, and nutsacks. In summary- nothing to be afraid of.

Now for a weekend full of percoset, Godfather trilogy (ok, just the first two), a DVR full of Batman: The Animated Series, and being waited on hand and foot by the wife.

Glad to hear it went well. :thumbsup2

:rotfl: The comment about associating Aaron's voice has me in stitches (pun intended)... :rotfl:

Kind of surprised at how quiet it is in here... not even trying to dominate the page, and it's been happening...

Ahhh Paul - there's someone now.

And just in time too... I need to get going.

Tis for trennr's Tie-dyed T-shirts!!!

Page 20???:scared1: Really?

Well, maybe I'll go back and read the past 20 pages (and the additional 40 or so from the last thread).....

Or not.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

I'm back home again and been trying to catch up from being on the road all week.

Talk to you all soon.

I lost the game of Tupperware Tower today. Now, you may have a different name for it or haven't reached that point in your marriage yet. I'll explain the game. First, your wife collects every piece of Tupperware she can find - donations, yard sales, lunch meat leftovers, and double points for lids that don't fit any containers. Next, pick a shelf in your cupboard, stack as sloppily as possible, and then throw in more Tupperware containers, quickly slam the door, and wait for the collapse on the other spouse.

Now, you may think, we are guys, why would we ever handle Tupperware? Good point. But, since we are Disdads, we do help around the house and put away dishes.

Normally, my reflexes are fast enough to add to the tower and get the door slammed. Today, I lost. Shall I plan revenge? Cling wrap on the doorway or toilet? Rubber band the water spray thing? Shrink some clothes in the dryer? Hmmmmm.....
