All of our vehicles have to be unmarked, but I can't wait to see what we come up with. I will say this, the vehicle situation has massively improved the last 10 years or so....

My first Fed car was a Plymouth K Car (after leaving my beloved Crown Vic at the PD). My first Police Car was a box Ford LTD with a 351....god I loved that car.

:sad2: Hopefully common sense will win out over the bureaucracy. There's a first time for everything, right?

I'm all for the government cutting back on expenses, but Law Enforcement relates directly to public safety and if there's something cut, it shouldn't be something that will inhibit their ability to safely do their jobs.

We'll see. There's some areas I think we can cut...vehicles ain't one of them. We're already short.

I agree on getting rid of the Blackberries. The powers that be took away my work cell phone. To be honest, I didn't use it that much. And now I can disappear off the grid so they can't find me! :thumbsup2

I can only hope and pray it comes to that...

But I'm not that lucky.

Sitting at home with a sick DS. He was up at 3am throwing up. He finally decided to take a nap - but now we have to go pick up DD from school in 30 minutes. :sad2: I did get the Christmas lights off the house, so that's something I guess.

A Prius! That should really intimidate the bad guys. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Agree. I'd say the only thing more vital than the vehicle might be that stuff you keep in the trunk. :rolleyes1

I have never had an employer provide me with a cell phone. They all just want me to pay for my own, but use it for work. They don't really like it, but I refuse to give my number to customers.

The guys in our corporate office that do what I do have ipads and iphones paid for by the company. They even do video conferences when things come up and someone's offsite. I pray that we decide this technology costs more than it's worth and it doesn't become company wide. I asked the CFO and he doesn't think we'll adopt it for everyone. He basically said right now the CEO, a few managers, and the head merchandiser just use it all the time because it's like a new toy and they'll get tired of it eventually. :lmao::rotfl2:

Dude....

It's February.:confused3

I still don't have all them down

In my defense, I've been busy and the only weekend afternoons I've had time to do it, the weather hasn't been good. I did get the stepladder out and take down the lower lights last week. I'm not about to fight the 32' extension ladder on a windy day. :scared1:

Stopher-
Being on the other side of the country, I've never given DisneyLand much thought. But the pictures I've been looking at are beautiful. From a purely aesthetic standpoint, which is better to look at, WDW or DL? These pictures have me thinking that DL wins.

I love both destinations... but Disneyland wins.

I know. I'm a bit early this year, but you take advantage of the weather when you can. :thumbsup2

Wow man...I took mine down January 2nd...

Of course, it was 78 degrees and very Unfestive, so that helped:lmao:

Ugh. Hope Evan's doing better soon...and that you guys don't get it!

There's always the "early for next year" argument.

I had them all unplugged on Jan 1. :thumbsup2

Tried that once for the second story ones. Where I've got them, you can't even see them anyway. Plugged them in the next year and only about every other section lit up. :headache:

That was easy. Got there at 10:30 and was back in the car at 12:11. That includes waiting room, rest room, prep and recovery. In OR from 11:11 to 11:35. Totally awake and aware the whole time, but the drugs made me not care. Brief pain during some injections but that pain was gone within 5 seconds. They let me bring my ipod. Huey Lewis, Quiet Riot, Jimmy Buffett and others made things better. I considered listening to a DisDads podcast but I didn't want Aaron's voice to be forever associated with scalpels, shaving, and nutsacks. In summary- nothing to be afraid of.

Now for a weekend full of percoset, Godfather trilogy (ok, just the first two), a DVR full of Batman: The Animated Series, and being waited on hand and foot by the wife.

:thumbsup2 glad to here!!! when can you take it for a test drive? :dance3:

Bravo sir!

And excellent call on avoiding the podcast. :lmao:
