Mark-
Glad to hear FIL is ok. I just read through all of that in the last hour or so. Scary stuff. My brother and I had to deal with that to some extent with our dad last year. He's 78 and couldn't handle the responsibilities of living alone. He'd get lost in his hometown, almost lost the house because he stopped paying the property tax, and his memory had gotten much worse. So we had to move him in to a "facility" just a few miles away from my brother (it's actually very nice). We also took his license, keys and sold his car out from under him so he wouldn't kill anyone. It's weird to see the shift in roles and to see him submit to my brother's authority now. But it's for the best. Of course, now he says he wants to go to Germany "one last time". I'm afraid if we let him do that, we may never see him again! Taking care of him in America is hard enough.
Randall-
I'm back from my trip to the land of merry. I honked in Baltimore- hope I didn't wake you.
