Just found I get to have a two day work week next week (only working Thursday and Friday).:woohoo:

Korean Holiday Ownage!!

I really enjoyed that episode.

My information packet came from DVC today. DW and I are both excited, but I think if we buy we'll buy resale and not direct from Disney.

Same here. We looked over the information and then looked at some resales and it just makes sense for us to go that way. I want to pay cash so it's just a matter of saving up enough at this time.

Any idea where you would like to buy?

Good luck :thumbsup2

Good morning dads :cool1:

Big day today. I have a customer coming in for a tour of our facility. Expecting 10-12 people. They are my largest customer so I want to make sure they are comfortable. Have to do a presentation and for a second I had IASW music in it when I show all of our locations through out the world. I decided to remove it :confused3

Have a good one guys.

BTW, Andy and Norm, I hate Nebraska

Probably a good decision. :lmao::lmao:

Good morning fellas. I'm getting old, I know I have some early meeting this morning but didn't write it down. Someone will be calling soon asking me where the heck I am.:confused3 Good thing I'm not a brain or heart surgeon, what ever it is can wait.

Just took my son to his bus stop, he has the best driver, we leave the house at 7:40 walk 2 short blocks and I'm back in the door by 7:45 everyday:cool1:

It is great on cold days like today:worship:

:scared1: :lmao::rotfl:

I've done that before myself. It stinks when it happens, but sure funny afterwards.

And yes, I'm glad you're not due to be in surgery! :rotfl2:

‘Morning all…

Lord I’m behind. Work has been rough and it’s likely to stay that way. Right now it’s quiet but I’ve likely just jinxed myself by saying so.

Oh well…

Up late... working on presentation for this weekend.
I hate it when I agree to do a presentation, and by the time it rolls around I don't have time or interest anymore...but still have to do it!

Hay Doc!
I can really help you out with this problem. Regardless of the topic of discussion, your presentation has already been written up. Just show them this little video…

The only benefit of DW being a teacher. We only have to worry about one of us being off. But that also means we have to go at peak when every one else is.

Kris,

I totally understand what you mean about going when every one else is going. My wife is in education as well and we always have to go down when it's 7-10 on the crowd calendar!

I would say, don't forget to check in on the Swan or Dolphin for that teacher discount they give, but then I remembered you said you had a free dining pin. So it probably wouldn't save you any money.

Good Luck! :thumbsup2

Anybody catch the Princess Bride/LOTR Phineas & Ferb? Some nice shout outs to the movies & the books (which my kids caught too!)

There was a Princess Bride episode??!! I need to find this!

You don't remember? It was the thing, with the guy.

It would have made your presentation memorable.

If your were a surgeon you're meeting would probably be at the hospital.

We'd probably like BLT the best, but where we buy is going to be very dependant on finding the right contract. We're really only looking at contracts that have 2 years worth of points available now. Because we are looking at doing a really big trip this year getting a bunch of points up front really reduces our re-coup time.

Morning all. On the heels of a budget cut yesterday, university president says tuition enrollment was low (although the opposite was claimed in alumni magazine) and layoffs are expected. Another thing I really dislike, threats of budget cuts every year now and in May.

The way it should be every week.

I would have went with IASW.

Folks - I am going to bed, and have a busy day tomorrow at work.

So do me a favor, everyone take a break and don't post anything for the next 24 hours.

Catching up is so time consuming.

I figure with the amount of reading time I put in on the DISDads main thread only - I could be reading a 500 page novel / week.

NO posts. Check.

Curse you, Norm the Air Goofy!

And mine was accidental. Can't time this many multi quotes.

I really enjoyed that episode.

Good luck in your decision. I hope to be like Dave and proclaim the savings one day. For now, I'm enjoying that 5 min walk to MK.

We are on the move now my DW has figured out our park days and is now working on our dining.

Time to Dis dad up and plan the ADRs yourself. On our honeymoon, we had no reservations at WDW and walked up. DW did ADRs the next two trips. Now, it is all me.

Does that mean it's time to start looking for something?

Are you on linkedin?

Good morning dads :cool1:

Good morning Dave

Good morning fellas.

‘Morning all…

Good Morning guys! :wave2:

Good Morning to the rest of you as well.

Not quite as big of a day here as theduck has, though I do get to go pick up my new glasses today. :woohoo: Back in the days of being restricted to when I could replace them by the insurance company, I could only get new every 2, with replacement lenses annually, and of course had to wait for a specific month, with a set provider and very expensive everything - visit, frames & lenses. Insurance always covered the exam, but the lenses and frames were only "barely covered" so the OOP was ridiculously high, and I couldn't even think of getting separate sunglasses under the insurance. Not being under that restriction any longer, I switched doctors with a visit cost that was 50% less than I've paid for the past 9 years, got frames for 75% less, lenses for about 85% less too - and got my second pair with a "2nd pair" discount and I still spent a bunch less than the old way. And no, I didn't go to Walmart for them either. I'm excited at little things today. :rotfl:

The bigger thing is we're still trying to plan our DS15's 16th b-day next month. We've settled on Dave & Busters. So I'm going by there as well to meet with the Special Events dude and make the deposit on the "Executive Billiards Room." It's a nice room. Took my son by there the other night to check it out. So he'll get to have fun with 20-35 of his closest buds for 3 hours of fun. He seems pretty excited about it.

Tonight I meet with a couple who received my magazine about a cruise for their 20th anniversary. They were thinking Italy last week when she called to set up a time... we'll see what she says tonight. :rotfl:

Oh and some time to work on my book, and start making sure the clothes I need for my trip west are clean. Most are, since I'm taking mostly shorts, but still, I need to start that process as the weekend has numerous things going that will keep us busy. I booked my dining reservations for Aulani last night, (could have done them sooner, but I just kept putting them off), and picked an excursion to sample. I'm getting so excited. :yay:

No - I'm just saying that while it's nice to be able to stop and read every post... it's also experiencing a slightly faster posting speed tonight than in the past several days when it was agonizingly s - l - o - w

I, for one, am grateful for the slowdown! Hard to keep up!

There was a Princess Bride episode??!! I need to find this!

yes, it was the Ferbcaliber episode that was framed by Carl reading Major Monogram a story (that was mostly Lord of the Rings type/generic quest story). The princess bride references were mostly in Carl's story-telling, plus a reference to the fact the gag in the book that the real book (by S.Morganstern) is very boring (filled with political info, peace treaties, etc) and the grandfather only reads the "good parts". There's a funny bit at the end where MM insists on seeing the real book that Carl is reading.

Good morning Dave and the rest of you gentlemen

Next weekend or this weekend? Anyway, good luck! I'll be camping outside in the woods of Connecticut this weekend! :woohoo: DS's first outside winter campout! Wish us luck!

Good morning all!~
